I'm pregnant as well. I have a letter from my OB, but they didn't ask for it. I'm going to send it to hubby when he has the interview just in case.

So excited, my expedite request was approved last Friday. Just waiting for NVC to forward my case to the US embasy in Santo Domingo!!! Woohoo!!!!

This is the information I found on the NVC website regarding expedite requests (very limited).

To request a review for expedite, please submit a letter (or statement) to the NVC from a physician (or medical facility). The letter must include the physician’s (or medical facility’s) contact information, and declare a life or death medical emergency exists. This documentation may be in the form of a scanned attachment to an e-mail.

Because each case is unique, it will be impossible for someone to tell you exactly what to write. A first step will be requesting a letter from your doctor confirming your pregnancy and due date. It should be written on letterhead from the doctor´s office or medical clinic.

Then you will need to send an email to NVCexpedite including your case number, beneficiary and petitioner names, DOB, contact info, etc. In the body of that same email you can explain your expedite request and attach any relevant documentation (dr´s letter, for example).

Hopefull other VJers will have more to add, but that´s what I found from my research.

Thank you, it took them 5 days to respond. I sent the request and I didn't have a case number. I received the case # on 8/18 and the same day I got an email saying the request is under reviewed. And yesterday 8/20 I got an email saying the embassy has accepted the expedite

Congrats if u don't mind can I ask u on what basis u asked for expedite? And if u haven't send ur packages yet then hold on to them. U might be asked to take to the embassy directly.

U mean u left it blank? U were supposed to write '0' there. And are u working now? If no then did u include a joint sponsor? And if yes then is ur income now abode poverty guidelines? I think ur mistake was to leave it blank.

What did u write in the tax income info? And why didn't u file before? Did u include a letter of explanation? Plus what's ur scan date for AOS?

my lawyer didnt write anything on there , i didnt file because i wasnt working i was in school and yes we did include the letter at less that is what my lawyer said, my scan date is june 23

I think they say 60 days to cover their A$$es with the extra benefit that when they finish in 35 to 37 days or less we all dance the happy dance and feel blessed and grateful. So I don't think it will take that long at all. Wish your husband would have asked "what does that mean please" he should really call back and see what exactly they are going to do and how long it will take. I'll be praying on my end.

Missed that one but I'm wondering if someone just made a mistake on NVC's side but it's better to send it in. They have asked me for things I know very well I sent I made a list. Yet they are telling me they have NOT received them.

My mother says (not always easy to take) that everything happens for a reason even if we never know why. So just take a deep breath and know your Lawyer will fix it. Just a little more time and I don't think they are taking 60 days just covering their behinds.

Can you show it to us in an attachment that way we can see if it's a false Check list or not. Lawyers don't always know most people here do. You can remove any parts you don't want us to see. Copy and paste it to Paint I think.
