  1. I don't think what everyone is saying is correct...I think it depends on the officer because my fiance and I got engaged December of 2012...my divorce was finalized in may of 2013 and I filed the k1 in June of 2013 and we never had any problems. .my ex and I was separated for a while before the divorce was finalized...so they shouldn't care when you got engaged as long as you were divorced before filing the documents..

  2. Okay, I don't know if I put this in the right section but here goes.

I left the country before I was 18 June ( It's been 10 months since I've seen my mom, it really sucks, pains my heart, I am her only child. ). And my petition was filled in July and NOA1 received on the 21st. It is an i130, its been 9 months pending ( 10 on the 21st of April ) and still no answer from them. No NOA2. The last thing I know is that my case was transferred to California on January 31st. I am being filled for by my US Citizen Step Father that married my mom when I was 16, I am now 18 and still waiting. Currently in JA, no opportunities so I've basically sat in the same room staring at the same walls for 10 months. It also doesn't help that I've been assaulted so I just stay inside. I want to go to Denmark to see a friend but the cheapest and quickest way would be a connected flight in the U.S. I want to know if that is a problem and why if you can, is my petition taking so long.

Anyway, if you can answer my questions the best way you could that would be great. :)

I don't get it thou...why did you have to go back home to process your documents...you were a minor when you came here I don't think you needed to go back home....I brought my son here as a minor and and even though he ended up being here illegally I filed for him and certain criteria was waived because he was a minor when he came here...I hope things work out for you very soon...I know this must be very hard on you

  3. so I filed my husbands AOS in janurary and his EAD and AP has already been approved; however I am still wondering if USCIS will require additional document when it comes to the medical form....I guess my question is, how long after the application has been submitted before they ask for additional documents? the 485 is currently at initial review and they haven't requested anything so far but I don't want to get comfortable.

The only reason why I am worried is because my husband came here on a k-1 visa with his medical package and I sent the package in with the first page of the medical forms from the AOS package but I kept on noticing that a lot of people received RFE'S for this portion of the process...can anyone that received a RFE for this tell me where or how long after they filed the AOS they received the RFE.

    Thanks

  4. From past experience they e-mailed and regular mail the documents....the embassy is the one that maked your interview date...for the fee you pay it on the day of your interview but before the interview is conducted...as for what you said the ceac site says issued...thats strange because your visa cannot be issued and you havent had your interview yet...double check the number you entered to make sure you entered the correct one...good luck

  5. It's been 1yr plus since I filed for a K1 visa and 2 months plus since my fiance had his interview, he finally has his visa in hand!! Thanks to the Most High for giving me patience and all that was needed to get through this process. We have more to go but we're over the first hurdle. Flight is booked for this Friday and we will be reunited after after 6 months of being apart. dancin5hr.gifkicking.gif

Congrats and all the best on the rest of your journey

  6. Yesterday my status went from "immigrant visa" in administrative process to "non immigrant" ready...does that mean we have to wait for another "AP" before it changes to "ISSUED"?

First i must say i am so happy you are finally over that DNA hurdle...i really hope yours go to issued today because ypu have been waiting for far too long due to circumstances beyond your control...i am happy to know that they are working on it though...good luck..

  7. So if things were iffy from the start why did you go through the rest of the process? And you haven't really said she did anything bad...you said she took away your cell phone and is ruining your life and your business, how so? If she took your phone just replace it and transfer your number to your new phone, I still don't get how taking away ones cell phone can ruin them...I hope you find away to sort things out though....good luck

  8. Except that is not what the I-693 instructions say. They actually say this >

If you did not have all the required vaccinations at the time of your K-1 medical and/or your DS-3025 was not properly completed, then you need to see a civil surgeon to get the missing vaccinations and/or have the civil surgeon fill out the vaccinations page and page 1 of the I-693.

So yes, let us know if they simply ignore the incomplete I-693 you sent in and don't send you an RFE. I would find it interesting, since you would be the first one I have heard of that did not get an RFE for doing that.

Why would you say this.....do you believe everyone needs more vaccinations...how do you know my husband doesnt have all his required shots and wont need anything else...anyway will keep you guys posted...but if i dont get a rfe...you shouldnt assume they ignored my incomplete documents....it could very well mean my fiance shots are up to date...

  9. That is very strange....they never asked for those documents when she processed her gc but they are asking for it in order to process her kids papers....she need to take a look at the kids birth certificate to make sure everything is correct on it....because maybe that is what is stated on there....or maybe they have the same last name....or maybe you know how after some couple live together for a long time they call them selves the common law wife....maybe that is what is on the bc...either way uscis will not just accept a letter she will have to obtain a non-impedament record showing that there is no marriage on record for her to her childrens father in any of the14 parishes. I had a friend that had some what of a simular situation but hers was caught as she tried to obtain her gc...she had lied on her visa app that she was married to her kids father because she wanted to establish ties in ja and she had to get the non impediment record showing she was never married.
