Thanks for the reply, NVC not yet sent me a case number to investigate they said after upgrade the visa category from f2a to IR 1 it will take 60 days and now the 60 days passed for October 11, 2014. And after upgrading my visa category they will issue me case number.

I upgrade my petition from F2A to Ir 1 and NVC scan my upgrade letter on August 11, 2014, and i called many times to NVC and they told me to wait for 60 days to upgrade my visa category from F2A to IR 1. so i have another 1 more day to complete 60 days............ Also i want to know for further process will it take 60 days for each and every document.

When i applying for visitors visa i upload my photos in it. IF you it's better because when they stamp the visa they will take the photo what we have uploaded in there system.

My husband got his citizenship and we have posted a letter to NVC, to upgrade our petition form F2A to IR, we posted the letter on 5 August 2014 and after a week i called to NVC and one representative told me to wait for another 60 days since the system doesn't show anything up to now, up to now they didn't received case number,

Again i call to nvc and a lady informed me they have receive my case on 11 August 2014 and still the case is under review and she told me stay for 60 days from 11 august 2014. and i asked from her still i didn't get a case number and she told me that nvc has sent a letter on 23 December 2013 informing visa not available with a case number CLM2013XXXXXX and as per her information that is my case number.

Again i called to nvc on 29/08/2014 and gentlemen answered and he told me still my husband citizenship not updated and and he told me there is no time frame.

So can anyone tell me how long the nvc takes to finished the whole process.

I am from Sri lanka.

I applied for visiting visa and i got 5 years multiple entry visa. I think the embassy in your country they must be collecting money for their needs.

When i apply for vising visa on last November my the consular officer asked who is going to sponsor me and i said my husband, and after that i show all the banks documents what he send it to me at that time we only showed $20,000. From my end i didn't show any bank statement i only showed the evidence that i got from office at sri lanka that i applied for 1 month leave and the years that i ma working with that company.

Also consular officer asked after that did you applied for green card and i said yes and i said i applied under F2A category and she asked for the confirmation number and i said the confirmation i got from USCIS its in the sponsors letter. (i though the consular office already read my documents b cos she's was keeping my documents with her like 3 minits and she dint asked single question from me b cos of that i started to talk after that only she asked all the question.

The documents you had is sufficient to get the I 130 approved. I do only had the my engagement ceremony photos. some how my I 130 got approved from USCIS and waiting for Visa numbers available.

And after my i 130 approved i applied for visiting visa and they issue visa for 5 years. As long as your case is genuine it want be a problem.
