Well, just be honest and precised. Don't be ahead off them. Take all the documents that are required and also take pictures esp ones with your inlaws and your own family. Good luck!

My case just got completed at NVC today.

Does anyone know how long it will take nvc to schedule interview at islamabad embassy? My visa category is CR1spouse

My case was completed on May 16th, 2014 and got my interview letter on May 30th, 2014

So my Interview lasted for 5 mins. The guy was very cooperative. He greeted with me with a smile.

Questions:

1. Who has sponsored you ?

2. Do you have your wedding pictures?

3. Can you show me one with his parents?

4. Was it a love or arranged marriage?

5. Does he send you money?

6. Do you work ?

7. Do you have any criminal record?

In the end, he congratulated me and told me that my visa and sealed envelope will be ready within two weeks.

p.s. Make sure you get US passport size photos. There were so many people who had wrong size of the photograph.

I am so happy to write that my visa was approved at Isb embassy today. The actually interview took 5 mins however, the entire procedure of security check and fingure prints took me 3 hours.

There were four more girls with me, they were also approved. Seems like it was a good day. No denials. ??

Since you submitted DS-261 recently, NVC will take about a week to process it and approve it. Only after that they will generate the IV-invoice. Then a few days later you will be able to complete DS-260. So in about 2 weeks from now you will be able to complete everything and submit everything. Give NVC another 2 weeks for CC. So you are looking at middle of June for CC.

Why not submit your dates in the form provided by Ms. Saylin (link in the first post)? That helps everyone. Your consulate information (on your Timeline) is incorrect.

Hey, saylin.. need help..

I have two police certificates. The latest one has my husband's Pakistan's address on it but now I am not living there anymore. I can't live alone in the house as my in laws are in the US.
DS-260 has this present address section, if I write my parent's address would that be ok ? However, I have another police certificate stating my previous address (which where I am living now, my parent's house).

Is this gonna complicate it ?

I have done the following so far

Feb 12: Got the NVC case number in mail.

Feb 20: Filed the DS-261 form online

Feb 20: Paid the AOS fess

Mar 1: Sent the AOS package

It is almost 20 days (from Feb 12) and stil the IV application page says it's locked. How long does it take to open up the IV payment link? Any idea? Thanks.

They took 20 business days to accept our DS-261. There was a backlog at NVC. They are trying to get it through.

Your fees should be invoiced in a week or two hopefully. However, you can always call NVC and ask them if they have accepted your DS-261.

I have no idea why they need 60 days to provide a case number,i wish they are giving the wrong information maybe is because I have been calling everyday.

They told us 30 business days but we got our case # in 17 business days. However, they have had been saying, there are delays due to a backlog.

So i called NVC and they told me that our DS-261 has been accepted and added to the case file. Also that IV Application Processing Fees will be available in 2-3 business days.

we paid our AOS last february 11, and today this is the status .... hope you can help us .... but the box of payment for IV BILL does not shown and no amount shows under the iv application ...what should we need to do to pay our IV bill? your reply is really appreciated

I think NVC is close today. They not picking up the phone. Anyone else tried to call.

Still waiting for them to answer..

Mine took 12 business days. Which translates into 2 1/2 weeks. Hopefully your will be soon.

Today is 17th business day and i still cant make payment for IV,

IV is not getting invoiced. It's been 2 weeks.

Hey, Saylin, I am a little confused with the police certificate.

So I have lived in the same city (karachi) my entire life but I have moved to different areas within the city. My present address is my husband's place in Karachi. I got my police certificate from the area police station. Now I am confused if I have to get another police certificate from my prior area police station where I was living before marriage.

I can't find my vaccination card and the hospital doesn't have any record either.

Do I have to get done with all the vaccinations again before the interview date?

It's your sponsor's Affidavit of support package. It includes I-864 form and tax transcripts.

Employment letter, pay stubs and cover letter are optional.

We were told 60 days. Our case was transferred to CSC and got approved in about 5 days.

They are just telling you the standard time. Sometimes it doesn't take that long.
