I just filled mine today. I didn't really have to save it as I had all the info ready, However, there was an option of save so I am assuming it can be saved and resumed later.
-
You can call up and inquire if you wish, but I'm assuming it will clear soon. Just keep checking on IE.
Ok. Thank you for the qiuck response.

Saylin, I need help.
I tried to login to payment portal and it's giving me the following error for last two days.
"This case is in the process of termination. Fee payments and online forms can no longer be accepted. If you believe you have received this message in error, or to resume processing of the case, please contact the NVC immediately."
I know this is a good thing. Probably they are invoicing my AOS fee but it's been 2 days. Is this normal?
Btw I have completed and submitted DS-261 today.
Thank you. -
Yes! Got it yesterday, Alhumdulilah
-
I received my case number yesterday and the operator told me it's gonna take 6 weeks for AOS to be invoiced :/
I thought it takes a week -
recived a letter today said.THIS IS TO ADVISE YOU THAT IN ORDERTO SPEED UP PROCESSING WE HAVE TRANSFERRED THE ABOVE CASE TO THE FOLLOWING USCIS OFFICE FOR PROCESSING CALIFORNIA SERVICE CENTER.
CSC is faster than other service centers. We were also transferred to CSC and got approved within 5 days of transfer, Alhumdulilah.
Good Luck !!

NVC received our case on Jan 6th. Now waiting for the case number to be assigned.

Hi all
when I checked my case status I found it in the post decision activities with the following message
"On December 30, 2013, a USCIS office received this case from the State Department with a request that we review it. We will notify you when we complete our review, or if we need something from you"
I think it is a transfer notice but different. any one had a similar message
Our case was transferred to CSC on December 17th 2013. On December 19th we received the same status update. Our case was approved on December 24th. Don't worry! They are working on your case.
Just call USCIS and speak to tier 2. They will let you know what's going on.
Good luck!

I just got transferred yesterday (Dec 26) and got another email today, saying: "On December 27, 2013, we transferred your I130, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN, to your local USCIS Office for further processing."
What does this mean?
We filed from abroad, so what local office would that be? We put an address in the USA for where we intend to live (Washington State). I thought NBC was sending them to other service centers, not local offices. Am I mistaken? Is this going to take longer because it is a local office?
It will go to a service center. You have to wait until you get a hard copy or you can call USCIS and ask tier 2 about the service center it has been transferred to.
Good luck!

NOA 1 5/16/13
Transfer notice: 12/26/13
Two things:
1. I filed abroad(Japan) but changed my address to a U.S. address in October, though my spouse is still abroad. I don't know if that is helpful info. for everyone wondering about whether your residence makes a difference with transfers.
2. How do you know what center your file was transfered to? It didn't appear to say in the e-mail...will that come in the mail.
Call USCIS and ask tier 2 which service center it is being processed at now.

Yesterday, I received the hard copy of where my I-130 was send to...to CSC...this morning, I got this update:
Post Decision ActivityOn December 23, 2013, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.
For approved applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include USCIS sending notification of the approved application/petition to the National Visa Center or the Department of State. For denied applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include the processing of an appeal and/or motions to reopen or reconsider and revocations.
This is simply the BEST BEST Christmas present I could have ask for. Thank you everyone for your support
Congratulations !!

Congratulations!
Were you transferred to CSC?
We were transferred to CSC on December 17 and our PD is also may 28

delay your case? OMG - duh.
YES !
however, since it's a USCIS error (in my opinion), an Immigration Liason Staffer at a Congressman's office can get the error verified, then push for the expedite based on USCIS error.
Who sends an unapproved I-130 to NVC? An office in error, that's who.
Thank you!
-
OK - I try some ASCII art.
Possible good paths: (pick one)
1. Lockbox->MSC->Local Office then approval there -> NVC
2. Lockbox->MSC then approval there-> NVC
What I think happened to you, hence the USCIS error:
Lockbox->MSC->Local Office with no adjudication -> NVC then NVC see a casefile without adjudication -> CSC
HTH !
Exactly that's what I think too.
Wouldn't that delay my case a little bit. Of course they wasted a day or two.
-
Local offices were given a date of 31 OCT 2013 to finish up stand-alone I-130 adjudications. IMO, that casefile movement from the local office was lagged, but finally left the local office. Is quite possible the casefile went out in a batch of other approved casefiles to NVC, but without adjudication (approved, denied, etc), someone at NVC caught the error (n adjudication) and they shipped it around, back to USCIS.
If yer certain that the casefile is at CSC now, I suggest engaging with an Immigration Liason Staffer at a Congressman's office, and ask the ILS human to request an expedite due to USCIS error.
Anyway, that's my two cents, after reading more in yer topic.
I don't understand how can i request an expedite due to an error.
Please help!

Thank you! Will deff call them on Monday.ACK! I think it's a data error.
Why? Usually this exact statement comes in to your status portal thingie only when the following events have transpired:
1. beneficiary has interview at an IV Unit .
2. IV Unit denies the case, sends it back to the USA to the National Visa Center (A Unit of the Department of State)
3. NVC sends the file to USCIS for review.
So - If I were the petitioner, I'd be on the phone with USCIS on Monday Morning, talking with an ISO (not a CSR) as that 'status' is specious, a data error.
-
It sounds to me that NVC (is that the State Department?) had it, but now it's gone back to USCIS for further review? :S never seen that status update before.
Edit: After looking on some other sites, and older threads from this site, it seems this is the kind of status updates you get after being denied a visa at interview, and then your case is sent back to USCIS to either re-affirm it or send out a Notice of Intent to Deny/Revoke. Have you attended an interview for the visa and been denied?
No, I haven't. It never came to the Islamabad embassy. On December 17th it said that our case was transferred to a local USCIS office and on December 19th it was at post decision activity. I check a few MCS numbers ahead me, all of them had the same status.
According to tier 2 our case is transferred to CSC and is still in pending. So confused!!
-
It's means they already reviewed ur case.. They took the decision .. And will let u know by mail in some certain time...
Inn shaa Allah!
Thank you for the help
