Just a reminder folks: READ THE FIRST POST. I have seen soooo many questions here that can be simply answered if you put some time in and actually READ. Read the first post. Read the wiki. Read the official instructions. Read the official websites. Use some common sense. Most of you are making this process waaay harder than it has to be.

DS-260 is all about the beneficiary. The only part where the petitioner comes in is the spouse category, given the spouse is the actual petitioner.

I remember that I have read somewhere here on VJ a question like yours and answer was that your spouse should take a new I864 with him to interview in embassy and show to consul.
someone correct me if I am wrong.

Hey there!
You know you should send all packages together ? that is nvc requirement now. http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/immigrate/immigrant-process/documents/Submit_documents.html not doing so can lead to delays "Your case may be significantly delayed if you fail to submit all of your documents in one package. "

CASE COMPLETE
Now I need the tears of happiness to stop. I have no idea how this transpired. Perhaps it was due to mine and my husband's phone calls to NVC and the Supervisor's this week. I guess it shows that it can pay off to persevere.
Our only hope now is that all of our VJ friends also get a CC soon and can be back with their loved ones as soon as possible.

if you are the beneficiary and your spouse is in USA (petitioner ) then put NO in both questions.
remember that this form ds260 is used for more visas than just CR1/IR1.. thus why some questions might not be applicable (read: confusing) in your situation

Originals are required, but do include copies. At my interview I received all my originals back, including PCC, since I submitted copies for all.
And don't get confused by the "certified copy". It means an original re-issue from the same agency that issued the original document.

I don't know if it helps but I got the "cover sheet" in the welcome letter and the aos invoice, but not in IV invoice.

September thread is closed, responding here:
Thank you and I did make a prayer for everyone to be united with their spouses soon. About the wait, I think it is the longest than anyone waiting now, but it has come to an end except now the wait for an interview.
Thank you!Thank you too. -

That was my first thought as well.
Men usually live to SOLVE problems. It is very VERY frustrating for us to hear about something if we cannot take an active part in it's solution. If we can't do something about it, we do our very best to forget about it and pretend it doesn't exist. It's how we cope with the stress.
Women on the other hand tend to cope with stressful situations and unsolved problems by talking about them, thinking about them, and focusing on them. It's their natural way of coping with the stress.
With newlyweds, it just takes some time to learn each others boundaries on that. The man has to learn to grit his teeth, bite his tongue, and listen, just to listen, without any hope of a solution every being presented.
And the woman has to learn how much her hubby can listen to before he reaches saturation. It's a learning process.
Personal example: When I'm traveling for a few weeks at a time away from my wife, she needs to hear from me DAILY that I miss her, I'm thinking about her constantly, etc. - that's what she needs, and that's what I give her because I have learned it's what she needs. On the other hand, haha, my reality is, because I miss her and can't wait to see her again, I'm actually NOT thinking about her constantly. I do my best to forget about her during the day unless I actually have time to call her in that moment, since it's a problem i can't solve until my trip ends or i have time for a phone call. I love my wife, and I can't wait to get back to her. It's just the way each of us process the stress differently, and we're always learning more about our spouse

Yes you skip the DS-261 because you have a lawyer. Your IV and AOS will be invoiced at the same time.

I have left the A number blank for my beneficiary because she had NOT "applied for a green card or other immigration benefit or been in deportation or removal proceedings". AOS was approved.

Minions!!!
It's always tough coming back from time away, but hopefully things calm down soon. Great news about the work benefits though! Free health insurance is a huuuuge win (in the US, anyway ). Congrats!!
If you filed 1040 or 1040A: Total Income
If you filed 1040EZ: Adjusted Gross Income

I'm baaaaack! Congrats on all the case completes, approved expedites, interview dates assigned, and approved interviews!!!
:P
There was over 70 pages to catch up. Doesn't exactly take two minutes to read all of that And since it was an early morning flight on Sunday, I didn't get many pages read. And then a busy day at work yesterday. But, finally, all caught up now!
