    Anyone else received something similar? I don't think I've heard of anyone mentioning this on our group

    I did not receive anything like that but I would definitely recommend contacting USCIS by phone and ask for clarification:

We were call the call center all the time. They would only tell us to wait and not give us any more information. We just got our letter requesting more information on the 9th. We called to find out how much time we have to repay they said we must reply by the 27th. They want to see the sponsors assets or have us get another joint sponsor. Which I don’t get because my husband’s sponsor makes enough. If the sponsor didn’t make enough he would have been give a k-1 in the first place right. 

    Just to be safe, get a lawyer :(

    It's not normal if you filed your application correctly but it's totally normal if information are wrong. Check they second exact copy of your application and see where the error is. Either way... you need to send them what they request.

    N-400 Fields

    GC-Date: The 'Resident Since' Date located on your first green card.
    Sent: Date N-400 was mailed to USCIS.
    Cashd: Date your check was cashed / credit card was charged by USCIS.
    NOA: Receipt Notice Date Printed on your official I-797 notification.
    Fprints    : Date assigned for fingerprinting (Bio-metrics). If you do your biometrics via walk-in prior to your scheduled appointment, please enter the date in bold blue.
    In Line: Date you received e-notification about the start of your interview scheduling.
    Int Ltr: Date you received the official letter in the mail regarding interview.
    Interview: Date of your interview.
    Oath: Date Oath taken.

    Field Office: Your local USCIS office where you will have the N-400 interview. You can determine your field office here.

    NBC: National Benefits Center

    IOE: ELIS (efile)

    ECD: Estimated completion date as reported in USCIS website for your case in months

    I am a permanent resident, my family sponsored my green card!  and what about a person who have different visas example came with depended visa, then changed to work visa(h1), then to EAD and got Green card, applied for N400.

     

    I am assuming the background check for a permanent resident will be little less compared to other!  what do you think?

    While all N400 are processed the same, some might take longer for adjustment/approval/etc... For example, USUALLY, the N400 based on a 5 yrs residency, takes shorter than the one based on 3 yrs marriage just because the stuff to demonstrate is less and the government already has many information about you.

     

    On the other side, it changes individually since some are way faster than others even with the same reason/documentation.

     

    So pray that your case will be fast and smooth and good luck!

    Yes, it's really quick and I guess it's because I am the only one applying in this Field Office seems like...  The only odd thing is that the Processing Time Information updated on 10/31/2017 says that the Tampa Field Office was processing January 16/2017 applications... Don't know why I got scheduled an interview being me a December 2017 filer.

    I don't know if the interview was scheduled so fast because of the already approved I751, however I purposely waited for my I751 to be approved before I applied for N400 hoping that that would help.

    My estimated completion is still August 2018 on the website (https://my.uscis.gov/account/applicant) and yes, they say that it could take 4-6 months before an "approved interview" and the oath ceremony. 

     

    Either way, I wish everyone a wonderful 2018 and a smooth, quick, enjoyable process!

    Tampa Field Office Filers

    Good Evening Everyone,

     

    I am a December 2017 filer in the Tampa Florida Field office. I did my FP on 12/12/2017 and today my status on https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov/ changed to "We Scheduled your Interview" and I now see the appointment letter for 02/13/2018. I am really pleased, but mostly surprised and was wondering if there is any other Tampa filer around here so that I can compare the experience with that office. So far with me they have been great.

    you can check if the mail is already posted on your account using https://my.uscis.gov/account/applicant if you have an account. If not call USCIS at 1 (800) 375-5283
