    Heh I know right?
This is what upsets me the most. We paid the $330 for our K1, spent ages putting together paperwork, waited for the K1s to process, pay for the medical, pay for the visa to be issued, then pay another $1070 and this is where we all are at the moment. Stuck in limbo land.
were all here legally, and yet, the people who come here illegally or whatever just get interviews after like 2 months and get their cards, while we who did everything right seem to get punished for it. It's so upsetting!!
And the fact we have to do our medicals again, cmon for real? I bet all those people that are here illegal don't have to have one, and those people even get benefits and stuff yet if one of us fell on hard times we would get in tons of trouble for it
I get people here ask me, "oh I always thought once you got married you became a citizen automatically?"
Maybe that used to be the case, but it can't be anymore, because you get all those bloody people who come over here and trick some poor USC into marriage or they come here and as soon as they get their GC they lie and turns out they just used the USC. It's people like THAT who are the reason we all get dragged through all of this
All of us who genuinely love our partners have to wait while they sift through all the BS lies and fraud applications while we have to wait
Sorry for ranting but I just don't think it's fair that us honest and genuine people have to wait while the people who just come here for all the wrong reasons get a ticket to the front... :/

I stepped away from the forums for a while because I decided to try not to worry so much about the waiting, in a way I was kinda relieved to get the waiver letter because now I know why it's taking so long,
but at the end of the day, at least this isn't as painful as the K1 process. We get to be with our husband and wives and this whole thing goes from being a constant worry (like it is with the K1) to just a nagging feeling in the back of our minds
Though, I do feel in a way like we are all being delayed even though we did the right thing. Applied for the K1, waited patiently, came over correctly and did our AOS papers on time
Whereas you get people who come over on the VWP, and overstay on purpose to run around the K1 requirement to get married and then file AOS, and they go and get AOS approved faster than we do!! While all of us who did the K1 get this letter and have to wait an additional 6 or so months.
I'm glad we did this the right way, but I'm not gonna lie, makes me kinda mad that the people who took a "shortcut" get there first...I don't mean to offend anybody but surely I can't be alone in thinking this :S

Yeah there really was no need for that comment, please don't say stuff like that again.
No one gets it easier from USCIS for their sexuality, in fact, I think it was only recently that they began allowing same-sex I-129f applications, so if anything, it's harder for same sex couples.
Let's get back on topic ^^

So I go to check the mail today (our door doesn't have a letterbox or anything, we have to walk to this big mailbox thing where everyone has a key for their address)
Only it's 1:40pm and USPS guy has only just arrived !
Back home In England we got our mail at about 11-12 xD I stood there for a minute but I didn't want him to think I was trying to hurry him x_x so I will return to the mailbox soon !!
But yeah I check the mail every day worried there will be some random RFE, check case status like three time a day XD nope! Last update still June third @_@
I have noticed though !! That people who adjust from different visas like student one etcs seem to be moved to testing and interview before the K1s. I assume this is because a lot of the different visa adjusters have interviews whereas the K1 they look at our files to see if we are gonna have an interview or get the waiver letter? Idk just trying to think of reasons

I'm not sure but I think they won't actually start doing anything until biometrics are done I could be wrong, however
I think that's why a lot of people try to do early walk ins to speed it up a bit

Congrats! You've all been so patient and I am hoping that soon all of you have your approvals and can move onto the next stage of this process. <3

Everything thing Wheatley says, I agree with. Try turning in fiance's I-134 alone with the document collector person. Have the other in case the interviewer insists it isn't enough for him.
Self employed is a little trickier. Some who own businesses take many business deductions to reduce their taxable income. Line 22 of their tax form 1040 is what the government looks at to determine income, so make sure that line qualifies. Revisit the topic of everybody's income when you file for AOS (form I-864). The proof will be slightly different for that form.

Regarding your Fiance's one - London are generally alright if it's between 100-125%. They may give you a verbal smack on the wrist to say "You need to have this sorted before you adjust status". The evidence is all good.
As for his Mum/Stepdad, that's also fine by the looks of it and if they say the one from your Fiance isn't good enough.
As for the Readiness form, I personally did mine the same day I submitted my DS-160 because I had my medical booked and I had no intention of moving that date come hell or high water.

Sent our petition on the last day of October with USPS and it arrived on 1st Nov! (according to USPS) so I guess that makes us November filers!
didn't see a topic for November yet (I did try searching, though!)
would be cool to talk to others who began this journey in November too! so that we can all talk and supprt eachother! ^^
    Waiting on NOA1!

That's how I'm thinking too! I miss my fiancé very much but during the time we have to wait, I've been enjoying the time i'll have for Christmas with my family. I'm really making sure I cherish the time I have with them as I know they won't be able to visit me very frequently, and that I can't visit them until we file for AP and I'm allowed to travel outside the US. So make the most of the time you have with your loved ones back in your home country ^^ I know we all miss our fiancé/es, but soon enough we will get to be with them for good and we won't have to be apart anymore
All of us who have filed around November time are very very fortunate, as others have already said. There are people who filed earlier this year and before that who had to wait 5,6, or even more months for an NOA2! We all got very lucky and seem to have filed at the best possible time xD
I'm crossing my fingers for you guys. I really, really do hope that you get your NOA2's before thanksgiving. I care about all of you and I want you to all be able to be happy with your fiancé/es, and it'll make me super happy when I see that all of us have all gotten NOA2 ! and some day in the future we'll all be updating eachother with interview dates and approvals and it will be super exciting!!
Good luck everyone! If you're still waiting, don't lose hope ^^ Just make sure to spend time with your families back home and talk/skype with your fiancé/e as much as possible

seems like its going a lot faster lately! I read that people have been getting their noa2 like 30 days or less after noa1! hopefully things stay this fast!
I'm getting so anxious about getting noa1, though! my fiancé is a lot calmer than me, but I keep refreshing the email constantly to look for the email hoping it will arrive!
I keep worrying something's wrong like that we forgot to sign something or a problem with the check? I think I'll feel a lot better once we have noa1 because then I'll know we're in the system I just see so many people getting noa1 so fast and it's making me nervous! anyone else feel like this it am I just being silly? Haha

otter~ reacted to Nich-Nick in questions regarding addafit of support?
    Hi--
For questions about how to prepare a petition, this K1 forum where you posted is good. For questions about London, the interview, medical and affidavit of support, I would like to point out the UK forum. It's very active and helpful. Each consulate will be different.
    UK forum http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/99-united-kingdom/
    Your questions:
Yes, they do. They also let beneficiaries sponsor themselves. You can fill it out if that makes you happy, but since it won't be turned in until your interview day, it could be out of date 8 months or so from now. I would sign and date it around the time the petition gets approved, then mail to the UK. There will still be almost three more months until your interview after petition approval if the current times continue.
For LONDON, they only need one I-134...his or his parents. One sponsor will do. This is different than what you will read in the K1 forum general info. It is specific to London. They have also accepted 100% of the poverty level for a fiancé, so you may want to present one from your fiancé and see if that is accepted. Then if not, have one from the parents to pull out as an alternate. London often approves on one proof of income. I would suggest taking two. Pick from--tax return (by the time you interview he or parents will have 2013 returns done)
--letter from employer (London really likes those)
    --pay stubs
--bank statements showing the direct deposit.
