Hopefully my husband doesn't have a problem when he travels next year. gosh.
thanks for your reply!
Most FOs won't give you the stamp up until the letter is coming close to expire. However, if you lose the NOA letter, they would have to give you a stamp. I've also seen people having trouble with the DMVs to extend their DLs, I guess field offices in those specific states know the issue and give the stamp.
Traveling with the NOA is generally fine. 99.999% of ROCs won't have any trouble but here or there we hear CBP related issues. Mostly due to CBP agents being ignorant. I remember someone posted their bad experience at LAX airport few weeks ago.
awesome! i hope my husband has the same luck.
thanks for your reply.
My husband (non USC) has traveled at least 15 times out of the country with his expired GC, passport & NOA letter (he travels for work). Never any problems. One time he was taken to "secondary processing" where they looked at his letter again and then let him in.

I accompanied my husband this afternoon to our local USCIS office today.
We were told that they wouldn't have to stamp his passport because he would just need to travel in and out of the country with the NOA.
I just hate for him to get into any kind of trouble.
I guess I would have to believe because we did speak to an immigration officer, but you never know.
Anyone been told the same thing??

Is anyone still active on this thread??
I have a question. If we file for the i-751 and get the extension letter, would that be ok to ship out to basic training?
-
Ya.. We're just going to do that.
I would print new forms with the current date.
-
My husband's conditional green card expires on 02/03/17, USCIS received the package on 11/02/16 and sent it back stating that we filed in advance of the 90 days. Seriously... 1 day prior to the 90 days. You would think they would consider, but no.
They sent the package back to us and we got it yesterday. So now we will be sending it back. This is so stupid. OMG how frustrating. You would think they would appreciate an early submission, but I guess not.
Sooooo... Our forms are signed on 10/26/16, would this make a difference? Or does it really just depend on when all the forms are received? Should we reprint a new form with new dates or is the original 10/26/16 fine??
There was a notice attached to our documents stating to resubmit, but nothing about the dates. We don't know what to do.
PLEASE HELP ASAP. We will be sending first thing in the morning.
THANK YOU.

Thank you and yes include our name
I would say you should be receiving it REAL soon based on past trends.
I also used a money order after doing a bit of research around the internet.
If you used a USPS MO, please know that the tracking website (https://mois.usps.com/pls/pmoisnp/mois_external_pkg.main), basically either doesn't work or it's not reliable. I have heard you need to pay an extra $6 to use the tracking system, but that even if you do, tracking information is only available after a few weeks, when hopefully you already have a NOA1.
Care to include your name on the list for tracking purposes?

Hello all! I have 2 questions regarding the I-751...
1. How long did it take before you all received NOA1 for the I-751? We sent ours on Oct 28, it was delivered on Nov 2.
2. We used money order, has anyone had a hard time when using money order? I have tried tracking but no info available.
Please help,
Thank so much!!

I get so used to Filipinas marrying USC's and rarely seeing the opposite, that its easy to just assume
Hehehe... Yes... it is rare to see the female as the USC and the male as the foreign fiancé... but we do exist lol...
Thank you all for your replies... I figured I will use my new married name since we will be including a copy of our marriage certificate with the packet.

Hello everyone!!
I am happy to say that my fiancé (now husband) and I married on September 20, 2014.
We are getting ready to file for his AOS and EAD.
I was just wondering... Upon filing, do I sign everything in my married name even though I haven't legally changed my name yet?
Any other FEMALE petitioners out there??

LOL I never noticed that it went from IMMIGRANT to NONIMMIGRANT...
Thank you!!
I'm staying hopeful!

What is the meaning of this??
My Fiance's interview was June 06, 2014
AP Status awaiting his Malaysian Police Clearance and NSO Birth Certificate
Now status was updated July 10 and July 14, still says "Ready"..
Is this good or bad?
Im worried

thanks hank

My fiancé's interview was on June 06. It went well except for the fact that we didn't have his Malaysian police clearance and the corrected copy of his NSO Birth cert. with his first name.
So we had to process them.
The malaysian police clearance was received by the USEM, our AP status was updated June 19.
we are just waiting for the NSO birth certificate. I believe we filed the supplemental report on May 30. It has been exactly one month.
Does anyone know anyone at the NSO or at least know how to contact them ??
I miss my fiancé so much... This waiting game is taking its toll on my sanity.

My fiancé's brother in iloilo said he'll be the one to help us process since my fiancé is not in iloilo, but would he need a Special Power of Attorney letter in order to do this?
I read on census website that family members are allowed to process, but with authorization??
-
I am sorry this happened to you, but at least they made an effort to reschedule you in a reasonable amount of time. If you think about it, they could have been complete bastards and put you off to August, and there would not be a damn thing you could do about it.
thats true. that would have sucked so bad.
i just keep thinking... this could be a blessing in disguise.

Yeah, I guess that's the best alternative for you guys. I just remembered you were the one who posted about the BC issue, hope that's resolved by now too. Your fiance is very fortunate to have you by his side for the interview, I was not as lucky. It will surely be a breeze for you guys!
p.s. When in Iloilo, don't miss their yummy delicacies! I'm not from there, but I love their inasal, batchoy, molo, KBL, butterscotch, piyaya! Namit guid!
The BC issue has not yet been resolved, maybe this could be our chance
We're both from Iloilo, but I grew up in Guam. he's been in manila since 2010 and i graduated college in iloilo 2012 and haven't been back since.
so its going to be a nice little vacay for the both of us.
and yes... the delicacies are yummy. i so miss home!

Yeah, it does happen. Most of the time, it's due to last minute US embassy activities like US dignitaries visiting, etc. Last time they moved out schedules for Pres. Obama's visit.
But in any case, your fiance should check with the USEM hotline as well, just to make sure. Good luck and hopefully you guys will still find some time to squeeze in that Iloilo vacation.
Thanks. Im debating if we will just go to iloilo the day after i arrive in manila which is may 29...
i did go on ustraveldocs and sent them a message that i received a letter from the us embassy regarding this matter.. so hopefully they get back to me...
oh well.. i guess it'll be ok.

My fiancé's interview which was set for May 30 was moved to June 6 at 6:15am.... ummm are they serious? 6:15am?!
Anyway... whatever... I'm a little disappointed. I had my travel plans all semi set...
arrive in manila may 28
interview on may 30
fly to iloilo for a week
come back to manila and chill for a bit
then fly back to guam with or without him on june 14.
now i don't know where i'll fit iloilo in my itinerary...
this sucks.
whats the point of letting us pick our interview date if they are just going to reschedule?!

Yes. Please keep us updated...
Which website did you go to for info regarding the requirements? I don't know which one to trust, nothing is ever consistent with the Philippines.
thank you and good luck!
