Unless they've changed things, you don't get an email from NVC saying they received your packages. You can definitely start calling now though! The day after I emailed each package, I started to call, and every day afterwards.

Actually you do get an email from NVC letting you know that they have received your packages. Well that's for EP for sure, I don't know about the others.

Don't send anything to NVC unless it's requested for first. They may not catch the mistake, in which case bring a corrected an I-864 to the interview. If they do catch it, wait for the checklist to be issued, then send a corrected form to NVC.

The I-864EZ still requires 'none' or 'N/A'. The I-864 was updated where a bar-code is generated as information is inputted (the I-864EZ doesn't have this), so because of that, you leave things blank if the answer should be none or N/A as it will change the bar-code at the bottom.

Hi all, so I was checking my AOS paper and I realized that I had written my dob in dd/mm/yyyy format and not in mm/dd/yyyy. I don't know why I did that. I never write it in that format. Would I get a checklist for that?? Should I correct it and send it to NVC?? I'm hoping it won't be noticeable but you never know. Saylin or anybody please help.

I hope NVC moves faster this month and to have more case completes...

I wouldn't rely on a phone, as they're not like desktops/laptops with all the necessary readers and codecs, and something might be messed up. If the correction shows fine on an actual computer, then it'll be fine for NVC. They don't look at paperwork on their phones...

Remember, it takes a few days to receive any emails from NVC. If you're positive that's the only thing wrong with the AOS package (I'd suggest calling and speaking with a few more representatives to confirm), then you don't need to wait for the email. Just print out the AOS bar-coded cover sheet from the payment portal, and mail that off with a corrected I-864.

I am doing EP so I resubmitted the checklist through email. I made the correction on my laptop without having to go out and scan it. When I checked my sent email on my laptop and desktop, the PDF file seems fine. However, when I check it on my phone the correction doesn't appear. What do you think I should do? Should I do a scan and resend it or should I leave it as is?

So today I called nvc and they told me I have received a checklist for my AOS package ( I left q. 10 blank ugh im so mad) on October 23rd. That's yesterday, but I still haven't received an email about the checklist. Should I make the correction and email them back, even though I haven't received an email, or should I wait until I receive an email.

I had RFE for DS-260 missing Orginal Doc. on 10-08-2013..so I sent NVC all the orginal doc. today 10-11-13..u guys know how long its gonna take to complete my case..

I also got a checklist on the 30th of sept. I emailed them back in the same day. They received it on the 4th of this month, and yet no response. I keep calling them and they tell me that it's still under review :-/

Yes they gave my wife a small pink piece of paper that says "Dear Petitioner/Applicant for Case Number SAA-------, please come back for visa pickup on November 25th. Please bring ID or a copy of your passport"

I have just one question: did they take her passport? Because if they did, then inshallah that's good news. If they didn't then they're still gonna call and ask her to drop off her passport.

As I told you guys before, my wife had a successful interview on Oct. 9th, and was told to come back and pick up her visa on November 25th, but I just checked the online Department of State website and put in my wife's Case Number and it said Administrative Processing!?? Here's exactly what it says:

"Your visa case is currently undergoing necessary administrative processing. This processing can take several weeks. Please follow any instructions provided by the Consular Officer at the time of your interview"

That doesn't make sense! How could they tell her to come pick her visa up on November 25th and not tell her her case is in AP?

Maybe her case is on AP until November 25th. That's the only thing that could mean.

Interview Scheduled for October 9th, 2013, YES October 9th after 3 days!

My wife got a call earlier today in Yemen.

They told her to come to her appointment on the 9th.

well I solved the first problem, my computer was blocking pop ups and every time i clicked to print document cover sheet, it blocked it.

I assume I can send the AOS package separately from the IV package, since the latter one is not ready, right? Any mailing preferences usps or dhl/ups, etc.??

Yes, i am happy that they cleaned up the mess in Ghana. Unfortunately, Cambodia is currently averaging 5-6 months (from CC to Interview).

Also Yemen has the same problem. Before the waiting time was 18 months, but now I heard it was down to 7-9 months. Big improvement but its still a long time waiting. I hope the waiting time gets shorter by the time I'm done with NVC.

That's great. Hopefully I finish with NVC soon. But I meant to ask u how long did it take for them to review your documents after u emailed it to them? And I hope the US embassy in Sanaa starts moving faster.

It took me two months for case complete with the Nvc

I sent NVC all my documents earlier this month. Just waiting for a reply now. Tried calling today and it has been busy all day. I don't know why?
