Oh ok thanks!yes you sent the card back with an I-90.
also if possible please finish filling out your timeline.
And I plan to update my timeline, but our visa process got messy towards the end.

After waiting for 6 weeks for my husbands green card, it finally arrived today. Unfortunately, we received the 2 year conditional one instead of the IR-1 card, when we have been married for 3 years now. I'm so mad right now. So do I have to send the green card with I-190 form or not. Ugh and I know this is gonna mean more waiting.
-
That's what I'm hoping for, guess I have to wait until the green card comes. And yea I plan to contact them if I receive anything but an IR1. Thanks! You should get an IR1 if the beneficiary entered after the 2 year anniversary. If it's not IR1 then send it back.
-
Hello-
I believe that should go for IR1. I have duly received IR1 under same situation as yours.
My visa status has been set up as CR1 since submitted visa application but it was approved on IR1 as 2 years and 3 weeks passed after our marriage when I got interviewed.
I think you should better to ask USCIS to revise and review the status. Go for it!
That's what I'm hoping for, but the green card hasn't come yet. Aaah it's been over a month, and I'm constantly checking the status. Thanks for your reply!

Hello everyone, my spouse received his visa more than a month ago and the IV Category says CR-1 and we have been married for 3 years now. So the green card is still being produced. Does that mean we're gonna get the 2 year card and not the 10 year card? I called the USCIS hoping to get an idea of what type of green card we will get and she said I have to wait until the green card comes. What do you guys think? What type of green card are we gonna get?

First of all congrats on the interview.Hi friends my husband finally got his interview. His interview is in Djibouti. I was wondering since he was deported and the place of residence is in war and he fleed to Djibouti. What are his chances of getting a visa? He can't go back to Yemen because of the war. will his chances of getting a visa be better If I was there for the interview too? Help Plzzzzzzzzzzzz!
2nd what do you mean he was deported? From where?
3rd I just recently had an interview in Djibouti and I saw the difference between people that interviewed alone and the ones with their spouse. Especially if your husband doesn't speak English then it would help him a lot. They might ask why your wife is not there. I suggest if you can be there then go with him. Best of luck!

I just heard today that some people I know just got their visa couple days ago, so it is a good sign that they are issuing them
Those are old cases. The problem is they're not accepting new cases. They haven't all year.

Anything has anything new to share
I guess there's nothing new to share.

I have a question, when I send the I-130 form and the papers with it, do I have to send my wedding pictures too?
No you don't. You can bring them with you at your interview.

My fiance has another appt and got his visa today!
Congrats to both of you on the visa.

This is what I got back from embassy
I understand your desire to have your wife join you in the United States. However, the Consular Section in Sanaa is currently operating with extremely limited staffing. Your wifes case is still with the National Visa Center and we are not accepting new cases from NVC until our staffing improves. Therefore, I cannot give you a timeline for when your wifes case will be transferred to Yemen and scheduled for an interview. It will not be in the near future.
Wow that's sad. I feel bad for all of us.

Last year they were giving appointments quickly but this year it seems like they haven't given any new appointments. They are reviewing old cases they have at the embassy. And I guess no one is getting an appointment until they are done. I've been waiting for almost a year just like some people in this forum. So you got an appointment 5 months after case was complete? I thought it takes at least a year for an appointment in yemen. That's great news Thanks
-
No they didn't close the case. They're saying that the US embassy for that case which is the Sanaa one is currently closed. Good luck to us all.I think they closed your case
Thats weird
Whhy would they
-
They are open but they will not be secheduling interviews
Why not?

Congratulations to Faithalba on your approval and hopefully you get the visa soon. As for shahara 2013 hopefully you get a call to pick up visa. As for anyone else do you guys have any updates like interview dates or something.

How long have you been in Yemen? And if you have been here for more than a year and you don't have a utility bill I would suggest not to go with your husband inside the embassy. Just wait for him outside or something. From what it seems to be they're just gonna tell him to drop off paperworks or his ID. You don't want them to see you and then start asking other type of questions. That's what I think you should do.First of all thanks! Lol i kno rit it was killing us. Also i have never worked a day in my life nor do I have any bills in my name, or a bank account. I am a full time college student and i live with my parents who basically pay for everything until my husband comes into America so wat else do u think would be able to be valid proof. How about school records, medical records, random mail in my name with my home address, debit card that was issued to me from my college??
-
First of all congratulations for the call back, it's about time. Secondly, proof of domicile for the us embassy of Yemen would be a utility bill like electricity or gas. Hopefully it all goes well for you guys.Hey does anyone know wat would count as proof of domicile?

MY FIANCE HAD HIS APPOINTMENT AND THEY TOLD HIM CONGRATULATIONS WE WILL ISSUE YOU A VISA !!! He's on his way home now! They said you will have your visa in 2-3 weeks!
This was for a K-1 Fiance Visa!
Congratulations, that's great news. So you're almost done over here. Good for you.

We haven't hear of any of the new cases (from around September 2013) getting an interview appointment. It looks like the US embassy hasn't been accepting new cases throughout since January 2014.What was the most recent case that has gotten an appointment scheduled? For example, my wife's case was completed at the NVC on September 3rd 2013, and my wife got an appointment in November 2013 (very quick, I know but our case was an exception because it was expedited due to medical emergency/high risk twin pregnancy).
Who has gotten case complete later than September 3rd and has received a visa appointment? I just want to know so people have an idea of how long on average appointments take to be scheduled at the Embassy in Sana'a.
Can you guys post your NVC case complete date and date of visa Interview appointment if you've gotten an appointment date yet, if not just post your NVC Case Complete Date.
Thanks!
My case complete was November 2013
NVC Case Complete- January 2014
Good news is I have a CRBA appointment for my daughter next month. Anybody have any advice for me? Like how much are the fees all together?
Congratulations

Hi guys finally got a call from the embassy. August 4 is my families appointment. They asked for original documents new medical and new police certificate and two photos and a new DS-260. The problem is I try to fill out a new DS-260 online but I can't the old one keeps showing up as completed. Does anyone know how to fill out a new DS-260. Please keep my family in your prayers and insha'allah everyone waiting for an appointment will get one soon.
Yay alhamdullilah, finally they called you back. Inshallah it goes smoothly and you get your visa right away. As for the DS-260, I really don't know what they are talking about because you are supposed to fill it out once. Then once it's accepted you can't edit it, or fill out a new one.
-
Like shahara2013 has mentioned we're just waiting for an interview appointment in Sanaa. Actually majority of us are waiting for our interview appointment. I have been waiting since November, and there's people that have been waiting longer than me.Hi i was looking at your timeline. Im confused are you just waiting for your interview in yemen? Just wanted to understand the process your have made it further than most on here from what I've seen. Thanks

Omg is the u.s embassy in Yemen gonna move faster anything soon!!!!!! It's the most slowest and the most hated u.s embassy in the world. It's driving me crazy
I know how you feel. All this waiting is getting too hard. Last year they were working faster than this year. This year they're not giving anyone appointments. I don't know what's going on or what they're actually doing. But it's Ramadan, so increase your duaa, and inshallah we'll hear something soon.

For those waiting for appointments, it's gonna say at NVC until we get an appointment.Hi guys I wanted to ask a question. When you check your cases online what does it say. Does it say At NVC or Ready.
