  1. No new news here for me today (so far). Will this be the week? Here's hoping....

Anyone else have some news to share?

Oh, anyone like my new picture? :)

    Very cute pic

I got another email from CRIS today stating this case has been approved and an approval notice was mailed on the 30th. Whats this notice now? Or is that their way of saying the green card has been mailed?

It's probably just a symptom of the multiple-email-itis that CRIS seems to suffer from.

Jeez, I really hope you guys get something this week. This is just getting rediculous!

I got my welcome letter today... with a typo

Good luck to you guys!! (F)

It wasn't a typo in your name, was it?

  2. I have received an interview notice last September 8, 2006. My interview date is on Oct. 18, 2006. I tried to add my case receipt number to my portfolio on the USCIS website but it seems that they're not updating my case online because i keep on getting this message .....
    • Attempting to add a case that does not exist. Check the app receipt number.

    Is this normal?

It took almost 3 weeks after I got my notice before it would recognize it as a valid number on the web site. FYIY.

  3. :D

    FINALLY!!!!!!!!

I hope the rest of you hear something today!

    Cmon CSC!!!!

YAAAAAAAAY Stina!!! So happy to hear this finally!!!!!!!!!!!

    Hurray!!!!!!

  4. Looks like CSC are back to work after a LOOOOOOOONG weekend :D

    For most.

I'd like to know whats happened to mine.

Could someone please answer my previous question. Sorry for the urgency, I just need to get it done ASAP.

    Looking at this page:

    http://www.uscis.gov/graphics/formsfee/forms/ar-11.htm

If you are sending US Mail, using a method that can have the letter just delivered, without being signed for etc., then you use the first (PO Box) address. If you're sending Fedex or other method that requires that someone sign for it, then use the second address.

    My guess, anyway.

  5. And I'm not taking the chance of crossing into the US anymore, since my last time ( a few weeks ago) wasn't the most pleasant crossing of my life. Long story short, I was pulled over, but was allowed to cross. Lemme tell ya, if you haven't had to experience that, you're lucky. So from now on, I'm making John come up here!

Ick! I had a really bad experience with Customs and am scarred for life. Mine's a really long story but I'll shorten it as much as possible. We were pulled over, we were interviewed individually, laughed at because of our ages (i'm 20, he's 46 and at the time I was 19), they couldn't believe my parents were ok with our relationship, they treated us like dirt (they've got the power, so they use it) and we weren't allowed to communicate, look at one another or sit next to each other for the duration of our "questionning'. Three hours later, after sitting in the cold cement room with others who were pulled over/investigated, I was fingerprinted and told I was being turned around and had to go back to Canada. We were so upset, angry and frustrated about the whole thing. I was told never to cross the border unless I had sufficient evidence to prove I was going to come back to Canada (rent statements, bills in my name, bank account info, job papers, etc) OR I needed to get a K-1 visa which we had already applied for.

    UH! It was bad!

Sorry... this is way off topic...

We had the exact same thing happen, except we were stuck in the cement room (Bufflo Peach Bridge) for 5 hours. I ended up being stuck in Canada for almost exactly a year while the K-1 crawled its way through the slow slow process.

I'd like to say you sail right across once you get the K-1, but I was there for almost an hour again with an extremely surly and nasty agent who hadn't the slightest clue what to do with a K-1 entry, but was damn sure I was trying to work illegaly or something, and was trying his damndest to prevent it.

  6. Congratulations Peter i hope your Approval comes soon.

Peter's approval has come and gone... but the rest of us would appreciate some of that mojo :D

    Illegitimi Non Carborundum - :lol::lol:

Best way to do that: everyday expect to see nothing (which is usually the case). That way, you almost always get what you expect, and are rarely let down. And when you DO get touched or whatever, it's a delightful surprise. :)

Of course, you still need to check the USCIS site 17 times a day just to ensure that your expectation of nothing happening is still being met. :)
