Hi guys, this Friday I am finally going for an oath ceremony. Just to share my experience...I have never received my second GC, since I applied for citizenship before they approved my i751 case. So I received an appointment notice in the mail about a month prior to appointment for Oct 3. Then a week before the n-400 interview they sent me a notice cancelling my appointment. I could not get an answer why or when it would be rescheduled when I called customer service. So, I went there with original letter on the date of appointment without mentioning that it got canceled. They gave me a number and I waited about 1.5 hours to see an officer. Luckily I had a very good officer, who was shocked that my case was taking so long, he apologized and said he will take care of it. Apparently some strange woman put the case in suspended mode because I applied for citizenship prior to getting an approval for GC. Of course, it's BS, if I didn't do that I would still be waiting on GC. So he didn't ask me for any supporting documents, he called several officers to get help unlocking my case in the system and he interviewed me for n-400. Unfortunately, he had to put in a ticket to get the case unlocked but he assured me the case was now in good hands. I think it also helped that I came with my husband and our daughter. He had no other questions. About a week later I got a notice that my GC was approved (but they won't send it obviously). And now 4 weeks later I finally get to the last step - oath and naturalization certificate. I wish you guys luck, and I would keep calling them, or schedule an infopass, it's taking them too long.

Hi everyone, I wanted to post my timeline for ya'll so others can get an idea.
They received the application on January 10 2018
Uploaded my biometrics appointment on uscis January 13 2018
Biometrics done on January 29th 2018
Uploaded my interview notice on Feb 14th 2018
Interview was on March 26th st 2:45
Uploaded my oath ceremony letter on March 28th
Oath ceremony will be on april 26th in Austin tx
 
Interviewing officer was very very sweet and kind, she was joking and laughing with me, it couldn't have been better than it was, the civics question were very easy
She asked: 
1) what happened on 9/11 
2) the 13 stripes on the flag
3) what is the rule of the law
4) ocean on west coast
5)name of the national anthem
6) how old do citizens have to be to vote
She didn't really look at any paperwork I had except for my marriage certificate. 
I figured I'll post what happened to help anyone out.

Usually mine updated right after 3am pacific time, the morning after. There is always lag time. But you can try this site: https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do with your IOE number. Sometimes, this site shows updates earlier. 

I am in Boston. Yes, I expect to have an interview in around April/May and this is the normal processing time at my field office. Hopefully!

If your timeline is any indicator to how ours will be, then I’m feeling relieved and hopeful. Congratulations on your lightning fast process! Fingers crossed for the rest of us! 

What your wife has is a 2-year conditional green card. The next step is to apply for "removal of conditions", to obtain a 10-year green card. After your wife has been a permanent resident for a total of three years, she can apply for citizenship. She must file for removal of conditions before her 2-year green card expires, in order to remain in status. If this is the first time you hear about this process, you might want to consult an attorney, in addition to reviewing the I-751 guide link provided earlier.

No you'll have to remove conditions first (10 year green card).... But you can file for citizenship before the card gets there if you are with in the right timeline.

She can file up to 90 days before her 3rd anniversary of becoming a resident-so June of 2017, first you will need to file RoC for your current GC in order to keep her legal status and get the 10 year GC

If your wife entered the US when you both were married for less than 2 years then she would have been issued a 2 year green card. In this case, you will need to file to remove the conditions: http://www.visajourney.com/content/751guide
During this process, you need to provide evidence of your bona fide marriage and possibly attend an interview. If the ROC is approved, she will receive a 10 year green card.
She can still apply for citizenship in 3 years but, you must file the ROC application within the last 90 days of the green card expiration (before it expires).

Hi guys, congrats to everyone who got CC! I want to share my short update. My wife had interview on 8th August, visa was approved and we got passport in about 8 business days.
I accompanied my wife for visa interview and I think it was useful to go together.Specially if you are in one of those countries where additional processing is a concern, I think it is definitely a plus to go together to make a stronger case. We came to US just this past weekend!
Another thing that has changed since my last travel was US immigration now takes place at the departing airports in mideast - in my case at Abu dabhi airport. I didn't know that and I was late to go the gate but thankfully flight was late and they processed it. This just happens at the departing gate, no need to go looking for US immigration. So the flight to New York was domestic flight!

Read the first page and submit your CC date for the spreadsheet! Also, they haven't assigned interview dates for CCs since June 23rd ... so it looks like they're delaying us there too.
