  1. Can you fill out your timeline? It is useful for predicted dates and for others to compare to.

Hopefully they will hurry up with your application. Looks like the NVC is taking longer than the I-130s used to take to process.

Time line updated for you all :)

NVC requested another I-864 saying it wasnt dated when it truly was as we have an attorney and she double checked it was on original and she rang them up and spoke with a supervisor. Even still im sure she sent another one in . Also they wanted it in writing why my husband had asked for an extension on filing his tax's.

He wrote and signed and dated it and they received it today ~ so here go's back to the waiting board again i surpose of another 20 business days !!!! :(

In my opinion i think they just request these things so they have more time !!!

  2. Hi all.

My timeline is done up to now.

We got an email requesting stuff for I-864 when in fact the orginal had it all on anyway and attorney we using confirmed and she rang NVC and spoke to a supervisor about it all.

However it has had to be sent in again so hey ho , they received it today so now i guess we are back to waiting another 20/30 days sad.png for our case to be complete.

Good luck to the ones with interviews coming up ,hopefully you will come back and let us all know what they are asking down there in London smile.png .

Like all yourselves just want all this over with now.

I wanted to ask how come ours has only ever says AT NVC nothing else what so ever. sad.png

Oops sorry wrong thread i am cr1 not k1 applicant.

  3. this is so depressing! I have been Maried since Jan, 2013 and we barely filled in Jun, 2013 every single time I check something online regarding the topic I get all anxious. when we started the dates said 3-5 months. the time then changed 6-9 months, later it was 8.4-13.5 months or something like that. now it says 6-8.4 months. I dont know why though every time I want to check the service center it directs me to Vermont Service center... do you guys have an Idea where they are processing the cases?

If it's any help to anyone here. My husband filed I-130 in Jan this year, Paperwork went to NVC 31st July and we are still waiting at NVC !!!

Yep it is all a complete drag .

6 months at USCIS now already 7 weeks at NVC.

Good luck guys we all sure do need patience right now.

  4. Hi Guys hang on in there, i KNOW EXACTLY how your all feeling i really do.

Our i-130 went in in Jan 2013, we are only now being processed at NVC. and our papers got to NVC on July 31st.

I totally agree with you all on how others are handed Visas so fast and us married couples it is taking forever - the time apart is dragging for both of you as is me and my husband.

I get mad and irate too with them - but what can we do really !!! absolutely nothing but grit our teeth and wait.

My husband rang them at USCIS 3 times a week asking them when and it took 6 full months for them to say approved on the I-130.

Now we keep waiting for NVC , oh and it took 6 full weeks for NVC to receive our file from USCIS - so yes i know what you are all feeling.

Thank the Lord for videoing on the net is what i say at least we get to talk face to face .

I havn't come to down your spirits but to say it is a long process right now as they are snails.

Occupy your time that is all i can say to you all right now.

I sympathise with you all as i am still waiting for case complete and my then interview date .

Hugs to you all and may God bless us all.

My petition was received in March. I'm also waiting on an approval. I was told that I should here something this month. I was told that if I don't get anything my the end of the month to called. Another time the tier 2 officer sent an email requesting a status be sent to me via mail I believe.

Our approval didnt show up on the USCIS site for a while after it was approved - they are very slow at updating that thing :(

  5. hello everybody ..i need your help ..actully there is 15 years difference between me and my wife age ..i mean she is 15 years older then me ..does any body knows if the USCis or NVC will make that issue or deny our petition ?does age difference happen ? i am so worried so please help me .any kinda suggestion ll be highly appriciated ...sad.png

My husband is 26 yrs older than me and i dont see it being a problem either. We are at NVC stage and almost complete. I have plenty of proof of our relationship and weddings pics with family.

So i shall say the same as others age is not relevant if you have a TRUE marriage and can prove it.

  6. Today we get checklist - NVC want more information on i-864. also they have emailed it to me using my name before my marriage to my USC husband.

Now i am all confused again . What a mess. We have an attorney in USA doing all this for us - What a waste of money - they have failed to do the job correctly !!!!

Now i dare say they are going to justify their faults of not doing the forms correctly.

    What a day !!!!!ranting33va.gif

I am January i-130 filer . husband in usa i am in UK.

and today we get checklist - they want more information on i-864 and also they have addressed it to me in my name before we married !!!!

I have no idea what is what with all this now. BUT we do have an attorney who has been doing all this for us since January . NO thanks to the attorney for screw ups .

Trying to get it sorted now . Oh Lord please bless us to to see an interview date soon.

  9. Thanks @QueenPenguin @Junior and @Platinum members. I really appreciate your advice!

I presume that whilst i am waiting for my CR1 to come through I cannot travel to the USA on the Visa Waiver? So my then husband and I would need to live in the UK?

I am here now - can I just go get a marriage license and get married at a little chapel downtown (I live in Reno, Nevada) and it be legal? Don't they get nasty with people who do this?

Is the CR1 visa more expensive that the K1 or vice versa?

Thanks so much - this forum thing is great!

    Kate

I am in the process of this - married in usa in vegas. came home and my usc husband and i got an attorney in usa to do ours.

Do not bother with an attorney they cost a fortune and so many on here will help you.

Ours was filed in January of this year, it has taken 6 months at USCIS , then 6 weeks to get to NVC and now all it says on ceac site is AT NVC. so 9 months down the line we are still waiting for case complete and then get an interview date :(

At the moment they seem to be taking sooo long to process stuff in either department uscis/nvc.

In the meantime my husband visits me here in UK.

I may add that when you get married you have to change your passport into your married name so that makes your ESTA void, as you have changed passport number and name, and whilst immigrant visa is going through you can't then apply for another ESTA,

If i had my chance again i would have done what our attorney suggested and stayed and adjust of status, then this would have been over and done with by now . however it is your choice what route you take .

Just wanted to give you a brief rundown on my own experience.

    Good Luck and God bless.

  10. I also can confirm that DS 260 has now replaced it. our attorney sent ours in on 14th August, rang them Friday last week and had to send in the new DS260 !!!

Because they had not started to look at my case yet !!!!!!!

i was told it has gone from 20 days to 30 days.

You all really need to get onto NVC and check ASAP. longer you wait the longer it will be for your case complete. I am still waiting . my original 20 days was up tomorrow and have heard not a thing yet. !!!

    Good Luck everyone.

May God bless us with case complete asap.

All mine has ever said since being at NVC is - AT NVC.

I am so fed up of this process now. it is taking forever at NVC. They received my file on 31st July from USCIS.. !!!!!!!!!!!

  11. Posted Today, 09:55 PM

I have filed I-130 for my husband on feb 26 at chicago lockbox, recieved case number on march 4th with priority date of 28 feb. It starts with MSC which means it was sent to NBC. Its been six months still no approval letter, I have called so many times they say that there is a backlog at NBC. Don't know how long its going to take for the NOA2 to come.. any ideas of what should I do?

Yes keep ringing them - that's what my husband did, Ours was MSC too, took 6 full months to be approved. Then it took 6 weeks to get to NVC !!! it has been with NVC now for 3 months and we are still waiting approval. !!!

Ours was filed 4th january 2013.

  12. Just a thought but does anyone know about the new form DS-260 ?

As our attorney filed our case there in USA ( i am in uk , hubby in usa ) i am just wondering do we now have to submit that too? as they have not reviewed my case as yet at NVC. We are on the 20 day wait time frame .

Yes it is most probably still sitting in a pidgeon hole somewhere !!!

    Many thanks idea9dv.gif
