  1. Usually they only give out one checklist. If you responded well on that, then you'll be case complete.

But there are some who got 2 checklists, so it really depends on the person reviewing your case file.

Some people get case complete then they receive a checklist telling them to bring corrected forms or documents on the day of their interview.

Ok ty Apple. Our attorney said she had filled the forms out correctly as they had always filled peoples out the same - when she seen what they wanted she telephoned nvc and spoke to a supervisor and told them what they requsted was in the original forms and NOT missing or even filled out wrongly.

So i guess if you ask me they are just stalling for time on some peoples cases but hey ho lets pray they dont send another checklist.

    Ty Apple21

  2. It says on the email what the checklist is for. It has a pdf file attachment with it.

We have reviewed the documents which you submitted in support of an application for an immigrant
visa. Please review the information listed under each applicant's name and provide any documents
which are indicated as missing or need additional information. You must submit the required
information. Failure to provide the requested information will delay your immigrant visa interview.
They said the I-864 was not dated and also requested to know why my husband had filed for an extension on his tax's.
So would thi smean this checklist is just for the first process of the forms and we could get another in time ?

  3. Yes, that's the email I received too but it could also mean checklist for the IV package (DS230/DS260/civil documents).

Doesn't matter if its AOS or IV checklist because the review timeframe is just the same (20-30 business days).

Oh i do hope they don't do another checklist then if it is for the DS230/DS260 documents. sad.png How would i know apple21 what this one is for ?? any ideas.

  4. Data was updated on the USCIS site. The national processing average for the I-130 is posted at 16.6 months as of July 31 dry.png

Field office volume indicates petitions were still being transferred in July, too.

Believe me NVC right now seem to be sending most applicants checklists too, and we have been at NVC since July 31st. Got a checklist last week and now we are back to waiting not 20 BUT 30 working days just for it to be reviewed.

So be warned guys NVC is no better at completing than USCIS.

    Good luck to you all.

My time line is filled in for those who want to see it.

  5. Come on lets all cheer each other up whilst we are waiting for theses check lists to end up with CC.

and most importantly PRAY that the Lord will bless us in making the path CLEAR for us all.

When i look at others timelines some are now waiting 8-9 months just for noa2.

Smile everyone we are at least now at NVC , even though these checklists are a pain lets look to the end of the tunnel and pray no more checklists.

  6. The best way to call for free is to call from a GMAIL account. If your husband is in the USA he can make free phone calls from Gmail, but he has to download the phone call plug in (search it on Google). If you are not in the USA you have to download this program called Hotspot Shield which let your computer appear like you were in the United States. Believe me, the quality of the call is perfect, I always use it and I've never wasted a cent.

Ty i shall tell him this . Ty once again .

  7. It took me 8 months to get my petition approved. I filed January 2013 and it was approved just last Friday (the 13th). If you've been waiting for 6 months or more I would suggest contacting your representative in Congress.

Our attorney filed our i130 january too. we was approved june 14th. ..

It took 6 weeks to get to NVC , We got a checklist last Thursday 12th sept. they received back what they requested Yesterday monday 16th sept, and now we have to wait another 20/30 days to see if we get case complete !!!

Oh boy it is such a long journey to be back with my husband.

Good Luck with your applications guys.

  8. Can you fill in your timeline and let us all know when you filed, it helps a lot

    thanks

Filled my timeline in if this will help any of you.

My husband rang USCIS 3 times a week if that may help any of you.

Also because they hadn't looked at our file at NVC before sept 1st we then had to do the new process of the ds260.

Well they received our checklist yesterday but back to a 20/30 business day wait again for them to review it, i do pray they don't send out another checklist as it has been know.

Good Luck all of you . Let us keep each other in prayers for this process to end asap.

    Have a great day .

  9. I've emailed NVC and used the online enquiry form to ask this very question, so that we can clarify for others.

I will let everyone know once I get an email back! smile.png

Hey guys just popped back to let you know ~ yes i have had to fill in the DS260.

Our attorney is the states e-mailed it to NVC. Even though NVC had received our file before then but had not reviewed it so yep we had to do one too.

Good Luck everyone , timeline now active :)

  10. If you're using an iOS or Android phone/tablet, download the MagicJack app so you can call NVC (any US landline) for free over WIFI.

That's what I use. I call them directly from the Philippines. wink.png

Unfortunatly i dont have a Android phone /tablet just my laptop and i pad . but my husband rings them form USA and he said it costs a fortune to ring them too. Gosh this whole thing has cost us thousands - i wish we had never used an attorney , but at the time i never knew this site existed, since i have known i would assure people to come here rather than pay them lol.

Thank you so much for your replies.

  11. How do i find out all this info apple 21 please, i dont even know if our ds230 was accepted either. Such a waste of space is our attorney in the USA . I have to email them all the time and it is draining. thank you for any help you can give me.

Oh ok thank you , so just keep checking the CEAC , knowingly all it says is at nvc. sad.png

As you are aware all we ever get from the calls we make to them is the same lol, not one of them seem to know what they are on about. it is like they are robots and give us all the standard messages .

Oh well im so fed up now with it all like i am sure we all are at this stage . Think i will just look to the interview being in the new year at this rate. thank you .

  12. My i864 was done by our lawyer.

The DS230, I filled (& signed) and was double checked by our lawyer. It was already accepted by NVC.

The DS260, I filled out myself.

I'm still waiting for them to review my AOS checklist.

There's no online update. You have to call them and ask specifically about your case.

  13. Yes, you will have to wait for another 20-30 business days.

They seem to be sending these out to everyone, Our Attorney has copy of original one sh sent in and said all that thy asked for in this checklist was on the original one !!!

    What are they playing at.

Apparently she rang up and spoke to a supervisor but still had to send another I864 in .

What a shambles this whole process is - sure does make you feel like saying to the US shove it up ya *** lol.

Oh well another 4-6 weeks wait in some port hole i surpose. ranting33va.gif
