No, I am telling you what Ryan said. K-1 is not work authorized for the first 90 days.
If you chose to seek the useless EAD that is available before AOS, you will pay a fee and it will take 90 days to be approved and will expire when your I-94 does - or at about the same time it is approved. You might be work-authorized for a week or so, for a few hundred dollar payment.
A much better path is to apply for an EAD with the AOS, which is free and lasts a year and is renewable for free up until the time your GC is approved.

You can have it translated wherever you wamt, and as long as you are profficient in english you can do it yourself. Just make sure you attach a certification that you are profficient in both languages. It doesnt have to be notariazed either.
You can find info here http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.5af9bb95919f35e66f614176543f6d1a/?vgnextchannel=fe529c7755cb9010VgnVCM10000045f3d6a1RCRD&vgnextoid=ff053d146a7ee010VgnVCM1000000ecd190aRCRD

It's best not to make any plans until after you actually arrive in the US unless you can cancel any reservations without penalty. Even if your visa gets approved it could get thrown into advanced processing (AP) which can last months. It's not likely that this will happen but it does happen. That's up to you though - many have done it with no problems.
You can file for your "work permit" or Employment Authorization Document (EAD) at the same time you file for AOS. In fact, if you file for your EAD at the same time the application fee for the EAD is waived. As for a driver's license, it is usually based on your legal presence within the United States - either your I-94 (90 days), EAD (1 year), or green card (2 years). I had to wait until I received my EAD before I could get my driver's license. Your state may be different it's best to check on their website.
You can file for AOS at any time. It does not have to be within 90 days. Overstay is forgiven for spouses of USC's. If you left the US prior to filing for AOS you would incur an overstay for each day after the 90 days you have to get married on the K1.

K1 visa is valid for 6 months, your fiance can fly to US within that 6 months, and when your fiance arrives in US, you have 90 days to get married counted from first day of the arrival, then you can file the AOS anytime we want but sooner is better. That 90 days is only for getting married.

I don't think you need an original of the birth certificate. I think a copy will be fine. I'm guessing that's what you included in the orginal I-129F package?
As far as I know you don't need the original of the form either. I do have one that is signed because when my fiance and I put the package together we made copies with original signatures at the same time. I have only ever heard that you need to bring a copy of the original package to the interview. How my fiance and I did it isn't necessary so don't worry about that.
The following link will tell you what you need to bring to the interview: http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/types/types_2994.html#6
I also want to clarify, where it says "One (1) Application For Immigrant Visa and Alien Registration, Form DS-230, Part I (You are not required to complete Part II.)", I have read that you the embassy will ask you for part II of the form, so you might as well bring part II with you.

This is the best thing I can find for you to look over:

Each Embassy handles things differently. Case in point the Moscow Embassy doesn't send a packet but instead sent me an email with instructions to forward to my Fiancée. When the Embassy had our petition we were able to pay the fee (we actually paid this sooner since we received the case number from the NVC before Embassy), and then we had to go to a website and fill out a long form, put in the receipt number from the payment and then we were able to schedule the interview. We did this yesterday and there were some Interview dates as early as Next week.
Hope this helps and start having him collect all his documents and get your police report and everything else together. Your petition will probably at the Embassy in the next 3 to 5 weeks.

Ryan and Asel reacted to Harpa Timsah in I-129F approved! they are saying it's sent to a consulate! what do we do?
It's fine, that's what's supposed to happen. it only goes to NVC for a few seconds and then gets sent on. Sometimes they just say it went straight to the consulate. Totally fine.
