  1. I have a related question- if there is a co-sponsor, does the sponsor need to turn in supporting evidence with the I-134?

Yes, the co-sponsor should turn in what the sponsor turns. So letter from employer ( although in my case they didn't ask for it) and tax returns.

If you can get paystubs would be helpful. My Interview was in the Riyadh, Saudi Arabia embassy which is very tough, but for my dad's co-sponsorship, they just took the I-134 and tax returns. I didn't have bank info or pay stubs for him. I had letter from employer but they never asked for it. But better to be prepared than sorry :)

  2. Your fiance already had the interview done which is mean your I-129F approval is invalid now. K-1 visa at embassy stage meanwhile I-129F is USCIS stage. Hope you can prepare the papers you need to get your K-1 visa being completed. Good luck.

Thanks so much for your answer, and I hope so 2, thanks and good luck to u as well :)

That NOA2 expiration date is meaningless for K-1. The Embassy has your case and you have a year to get them the documents. Once you do, then you should get the visa.

    Thanks soo much :)

lol, Hi there Dr, so anything new in ur case status?

  3. Hi gedaa86 ,

Actually I don't have answers to your questions ( as i'm still waiting for my NOA2) but as Riyadh Embassy will be the embassy where i have interview i'm interested to hear those questions answers.

And if you don't mind I would like to add one more question:

If the AP time length differs from being male or female?

    best wishes for All

Wish you best of luck, if you need information on what the embassy asks for let me know, will be more than happy to help

  4. Hi guys,

so my fiance had his interview 10/21/2013 and they gave him the 221(g) paper and need one more paper. We are in the process of getting it and should get it in the next days, but my I-129 F petition approval will expire on 11/7/2013. I am afraid when they get the paper and process it the case would be already expired.

I did send an email to the embassy and their reply is always so vague, that I have one year to get the required document. I already knew that, but I am just afraid that the 1 year rule is for the embassy, and not the USCIS approved case.

    Please help!!

    Thanks

  5. Wow! Can't thank you guyz enough. Thanks gedaa86. Will do so. I Will fill two I-134 one as though I am the only sponsor and the other with my Elder brother as a co-sponsor with his previous tax details and account statements. Then tell my fiancee to submit both during her interview. So whichever is deemed fit by the CO. He/she will let my fiancee

know. I hope this is Ok?

Sounds good but only show them what they ask for. So show them your I-134 and supporting documents first, if not enough they will ask you for co-sponsor, if they don't THEN you ask if they accept co-sponsor and present your brother's stuff.

  6. Depends how tough the embassy is

My fiance had his interview today, I have been working for 9 months (above poverty lines) and he showed them my employment letter, 6 pay stubs, bank statements but they still wanted tax returns

He showed them my tax returns (2010-2012) but 2 of those years I was dependent on my parents, the counselor requested that my dad be a co sponsor.

thankfully my dad had already filled out I-134 form as well with supporting documents.

Always have co sponsor ready, you don't want to take any chances of being refused (or requested to send more documents)

  7. I know they like to be shown proofs, I don't know if they will accept the monthly gifts. Because what is the proof that these monthly gifts will keep on coming?? They need something that shows them that you will always have this much. Some consulates are really tough when it comes to sponsorship, since the tax returns are low. I would really strongly encourage you guys to get a co-sponsor that has strong tax returns and strong current income.
