This is why the immigration system is so fouled up today; people who are taking advantage of the system. Do you realize how hard it is to get a B-1 visa for many countries? And yet, you abuse it like Visas grow on trees. How dare you use this forum to try to assist you in facilitating illegal activities. This forum was designed for people who are trying to get their families, loved ones and business purposes here legally. VJ forum members, the best advise for those individuals who are looking to beat or get around the system, is to do it legally and we are not going to aid and abet illegal activity. What a slap in the face! That is so selfish of you to think that you are the only one with dreams of a better life for your family and only YOUR case matters!

I got the "waiting on Jesus" waiver letter Feb 25th. Told me that could be six months for consideration not including the GC processing time. Anyone has any feedback on this?
-
Man, still waiting. Dallas is taking it's sweet time. How are you guys doing?
Same here in Atlanta. No word yet. Homeland security is about to run out of money. (nice!)

I'm completely cool. I am sorry if my response came off in the wrong way.
We should not interpret emotions through texts. That is one big no no. *Espared12 and JeanF no harm done.
But any way, @ espared12 I wanted to respond to this threat because I have been feeling the same sentiments . I have gone through so much trouble, heartaches, financial struggles, and disappointments to get my family here and we are still not done
. I compliment you on your courage to speak out. Personally, I think it's unfair and disconcerting for U.S/Naturalized or otherwise Citizen not to be first priority when it comes to filing and adjusting. @espared12, I think this a very good topic to discuss in another forum. I will be a willing open-minded participant. Good luck to you all and I wish you a speedy journey. Stay positive and tenacious!

Myy 485 application was received around August 1st. I am still waiting for my interview notice:(
Ben, so have I filed august 1st and they received my packet august 5th. This is so frustrating. I called USCIS, they told me, and I verified, that they are processing May 12th 2014. They are 9 months behind. You have to calculate your time by your local service center. I checked for Atlanta. This is ridiculous. They are processing but so many I-485's. I got my local congressman involved. His office has help me expedite so many difficult situations.
Good luck to you.
I'm still waiting for an interview as well. Filed August 14th. Denver office is pretty backlogged and, from what I can calculate and deduce, we shouldn't expect an interview until May. Ugh.
You are absolutely right. May!

My brother's fiance resides in Italy. We are trying to determine the best way to file the petition. We are considering the CR1 to have everything done by the time she gets here. Can I file a petition before the marriage but continue to use the I30/CR1?

Question. Did you AOS from a K-1?
Corvus,
Did you receive your EAD? My case is close to yours and usually I am following you, Ronny_and_Cari.

For anyone in this thread. How soon after the I765, on average, USCIS is responding to the I485's ? I see that some applicants are getting interviews within 90 days. It has been 90+ days and still sitting in the same state. Is there a threshold on time that we should check? I know that the I765 is 90 days but what about the I485?
Thanks

i totally agree with you... but he was imposing things on us... like he wanted us to tell things which are not even to our concern...
Exactly my point. It didn't even concern you, so how they expect you to answer it?

@blinkie and August 2014 AOS filers
As others had mentioned in the thread, this a scare tactic they use when there are red flags about the relationship. They use this method to determine if you are lying or showing nervousness by answering questions you possibly could not answer. So don't make up things or answer the questions you have no idea about. (They know this). Listen to how ridiculous the questions are, if you answer it just to invent something, it may reveal that you are lying or have something to hide. Answer the questions that you know to the best of your ability. There are some things about my own siblings that I don't know about. So be truth and honest and you will be fine. I work for the my local police department and this a similar method they use for interrogations for polygraph and employment screenings.

Hi everyone! Pleased to announce my husband's EAD just got approved today!
I am so happy for you. We had our Bio on the same day. We should have ours any day now. Good luck to you all
-
We're gonna find out! Still nothing on ours. Is it wrong to want my husband to be able to work?! LOL Do I seem like a horrible wife expecting that he get working ASAP?

It's not wrong my friend working is a good thing for anyone. My wife is waiting to go to work. It helps tremendously. I am ready for additional income and so is she. so our feelings are mutual.

We are still waiting with nothing whatsoever happening. It's so very frustrating to see people who've applied WEEKS after us get theirs so fast, without expediting. Very annoying. But I suppose I should be used to this... we filed Feb 1 for K1, and a boatload of people had their NOA2's long before us also. August 2nd might as well have been Sept 2, with as slowly as this is going. Booooooooooo.

That said, I AM truly happy for those of you who are progressing and have your EAD/AP and interview appointments. We'll cheer for you every step of the way.

@Tina and Johan. I think ours and others who have the same BIO dates will be processed by the end of next week. I noticed when the AOS package was accepted it took almost 2 weeks for them to update or send the NOA. (actual delay). So what I am thinking If your Bio was completed on the week sept 8-12, approval should be next week. 2 Weeks delay from the 30 day mark of the Biometrics. There are a few others I am following with the same Bio's that haven't gotten their appointments or EAD..
btw, Nebraska Service Center (so slow!!!)

Has any filed AOS without K1 or K2 while residing in USA?
My son (K2) is in the Philippines 14 years old. I filed separate. It's so expensive. @ $400 more

My family just got their Biometrics appointments in the mail today.

Hello!I am filing for AOS Concurrent (I-130, I-485, I-765). I sent my package off today via Fedex. It's suppose to arrive on Tuesday. So I will update my progress.
Good Luck,
As you see in this thread the processing times varies. I have been waiting since the 4th of August. One filer has been waiting close to 3 weeks now.
-
I sent mine a week ago, it was signed for last Monday, and no texts or anything.
My check is also still uncashed. Hmmm. :-/I mailed mine on the 4th of August signed on Monday. No check cashed or any correspondence.

I filed on the 4th of August, still waiting for them to cash the check. I read some of the threads. Some cases take up to 1 week to cash the check.
