Packet 4 is the packet that lets you know that you can schedule your interview and go get your medical.

Is it the same as the IV packet?

I am really confused.

What are the packets in NVC?

Is packet 4 during the interview stage, is the IV packet the same thing?

Where can I get some more clarity?

I still have not added my spouses name to my passport because I filed my i130 with my maiden name.

(In india we have a section to add spouses name to passport too)

I don't know about the approvals but I can tell you that they are transferring May petitions.

Say I change my name from maiden to married, and add other info on PCC, will the PCC still be valid?

is the pcc a letter or a stamp

Okay let me explain my questions better

a) I know PCC has to be from local passport office that issues my passport but do I also need a letter from police commissioner?

b) What about the PC in Kolkata then?

I lived in west bengal ages 16-17.5 and Bangalore ever since.

My first passport was from kolkata, then it was cancelled when I got my second passport from Bangalore.

How many PCC do I need ? One from each state?

How about the PSK PCC , how is that different from the one issues by police commisioner? Do I need both?

How many PSK stamps do I need?

Does the PCC apply for each state , or each country?

1) When I was 16 I moved from West Bengal to Bangalore . Do I need a police clearance certificate from both places?

2) I checked the NVC flowchart. I dont see any request for PCC

Did you try infopass? I have a feeling they will pull out your file and approve it there if you go now.

Have you gotten everything ready for when you do receive NOA2/ That helps, preparing, so when it comes, you are good to go for the next phase. Chin up, you can do this!!

Yes thats what I am doing to fill up the time. Finishing my paperwork etc.

Also shopping for when I move there etc.

Please dont give up. Simeone commented yesterday that one idea to fill the time is to make lists and act on them of all the preparations you need to make to help your spouse transition to the US; all the things you can do to makenit lesa daunting and stressful.

There was a couple on VJ just a month or so ago who had gotten all the way through approval but knew they still had potentially another 2-4 mths of paperwork and visa interview wait times. They felt the could no linger bare the stress in their relationship....they cancelled their whole application.

Many of us begged them to not give up...but they did.
