Walmart (in Escazu, the one I go to) actually has a whole gringo section around this time of year where you can get Libby's pumpkin pie mix, pie crusts, cranberry sauce, instant mashed potatoes, stuffing mixes, gravy mixes, everything. I think you can even buy frozen turkeys! Not sure about turkeys since I haven't made one before.
Another place I would recommend would be Automercado. It's got lots of imported stuff. But it's pricey!
I think for the most part you should be able to get just about everything in Walmart. And Walmart is much nicer here than in the USA. The food is good quality. It's not as cheap as USA Walmarts, but it's got lots of good stuff.
I'm sure your esposo knows of a Automercado or Walmart on the way! Good luck!

My esposo lived with me in the USA for 6 months so he knows very well what he's looking forward to. Similar to LMTs post since we're both from CR!
    1. Generally just being away from his country
    2. 40 hour work weeks (vs 60 hours he pulls here)
    3. Not living in "cages" (all houses here are behind 15 foot brick walls or barbed wire)
    4. Walking around safely at night
    5. Affordable... everything (except health care! jaja)
    6. Being with my family
    7. Food variety
    8. Decent roads
    9. Good beer
    10. So many places to explore
    11. Earning enough money to explore those places

My wife would probably enjoy driving in less traffic, it's crazy how ppl can drive there, but what you expect with the population size of india. I sure can never drive there.

This is great, thanks for starting this, it surely relieves some stressers (and makes you plan!)
My husband's only been to the US very briefly on travel tours, only to the US Mainland one of those times, and that was only in CA. What he will LOVE about being here vs in Japan:
    1) wide streets
    2) every kind of cuisine (vs Asian)
    3) not having to recycle in to five bags every day
    4) no winter (in Florida)
    5) pizza without fish heads and other weird things
    6) the ability to drive anywhere in the Continental US (and Canada/Mexico of course) and get somewhere outside the state in less than five hours
    7) less ugly typhoons (hurricanes)...knock wood
    8) a yard for his doggy to play in
    9) family....he has NO family in Japan (except his son).
    10) celebrating Christmas!
    11) no 14hr time difference btwn us
.....I should stop here...there is too much!

He doesn't have hot water in his house now and even when he was here he never used the hot water anyway. Sometimes old habits die hard
I personally couldn't live without hot water... ha ha

Yep! Also the expedite doesn't carry over to the NVC and another expedite request will have to be submitted and approved at the embassy after you get your case #. Which is 2-3 weeks after you get the NOA2 just to get a case #.. But this is just what I read on this (not from personal experience).

Good to see all these files moving...hopefully it means NOA2s are right around the corner for them. So it looks like they are going in order....most of the transfers seem like first week of April.

So your petition started at NBC "St. Louis, Missouri" and got transferred to "St Louis, Missouri". Your petition went nowhere! Haha.. Tier 1 and Tier 2 representatives are saying that currently they are working on Oct petitions..
Hint: I would read little more closely to your notice or expect it to be a typo. Also you can look at timelines and notice they have been processing petitions from Feb through April regularly... With that spread and statistically speaking your looking at anywhere between TODAY thru 4/5 more months..

I'm going to take a break and ignore all.. The more I read or do math the more disappointed I get.. I hate calling and getting different answers than y'all.. I was even told when I called that since i did things the legal way "not cheat" I will get the short end of the stick and wait longer until there is immigration reform.. I even did math and came up with VJ makes up .16% of petitions.. That's 1.6 in every 1000 petitions so knowing there is between 80-90 local offices, Vermont, Texas, CSC, and 2 offices of NBC and not seeing 3 people approved every day is same as saying they can't do 2000 petitions so they are NOT working on them!! Them giving everyone different answers means they don't care.. Ignorance may be bliss with USCIS right now
