4Oh I completely agree! I've just been dealing with USCIS for so long now (as have we all!) that I expected a much longer wait. In fact, I didn't expect the online tracker to update at all, I just figured my green card would be in my mailbox in a month or two.

No, it was VSC. It should be in my profile? I got the approval letter a little over a week ago, I just thought it would take them longer to actually produce and mail the card

Just received four (FOUR!) text messages from USCIS saying my case has been updated. Checked online and it says my new card is being produced. Thought it would take longer!

I had my ROC filed on February 10, 2017.... so seems like I should hear something any day now? Omg so nerve wracking.... hopefully it happens this week.... did you get your card with this letter or was it just a “congratulations ... you’ll receive your new card in 60days” kinda letter??? My extension letter expires on February 11, 2018 (and so will my drivers license),.... so if I should get approved this week with the approval letter, would that be enough to go to the Drivers License Office to get a new drivers license or do I have to go to my field office (New Orleans) and get the stamp in my passport in order for my drivers license to get renewed??

No card, just the letter today. The back of the letter says "Please note that simply filing an application, petition or request, or having an approved petition does not give the person it was filed for (also known as the beneficiary) permission to legally enter the United States. It also does not grant any legal immigration status." I'm guessing that the letter wouldn't be enough.
Are you sure your extension letter expires on the 11th if you only applied on the 10th? The extension letter should expire one year from the expiration date of your 2-year green card, not from the date of the letter.

Just got my approval notice in the mail. It was dated 01/17 and says it's from the Boston field office. The envelope was postmarked 01/19 from Vermont. My online status never updated.

I went to immigration yesterday. They check my case and said Vermont is still working on cases blah blah blah. Took my passport and gave me a stamp. I wasn't even had a chance to explain why I need it. I emailed my lender and sent her a copy and voila it's accepted 😊

My file were approve with underwriting. Everything looked good. We just need to close. They sent me docs that I needed prior to closing. The said unexpired GC. I explained to them but the head underwriter didn't accept my extension. It's just upsetting. Cus I sent them my GC and the extension when I started the process. They accepted it, now I'm few weeks from closing, they're rejecting.
Ugh, how frustrating
I'm sorry! I guess your best bet would be to try for the stamp, then. Fingers crossed for you!

1We went with Berkshire Bank. Pretty sure they're local to MA so might not be useful to you, but I'd be happy to send you my mortgage lady's details if you think they'd work for you!
Not sure about the stamp. Not sure if they'd issue you a stamp while your extension letter is still in effect. I'm sure someone who knows more than me will have an answer. I still don't think you should have to provide anything more than the extension letter though. Sounds like your lender is either really stringent or (more likely) just doesn't understand the way USCIS does things (and who can blame them
).
Not sure how far in you are with the mortgage process but it might be worth shopping around. If they won't accept the only documentation you have, let them know that you'll just have to go somewhere else as other lenders DO accept the extension letter.

That's so strange. Who's your lender? We just bought a house and didn't have any issues with the green card extension letter. I mean, it's all USCIS give you...not sure what your lender is expecting you to produce?

I just sent mine through USPS, certified mail. You get a tracking number to make sure it gets there. How long it takes to get there depends on the type of service you use- mine was there the next day, but it could have taken 2-3 days.
