Maria and Mike got a reaction from Pheebs1201 in Average time between issued and delivery of visa
For anyone interested, I've been on the phone again to Dx couriwrvand spoke to a really helpful guy. He advised if you have arranged to pick up from courier then the search/tracking will use the couriers postcode not your home address.
He also found out that my visa is getting collected today and may be at the depot for collection after 6pm tonight but if not, in the am tomorrow.
Just this minute I have received confirmation email from Dos advising the documents have been released, tracking number and estimate of 1-2 working days.
I should add, the tracking number is still not valid on the courier website.
Fingers crossed but it looks like I may not have to cancel another flight or the wedding date!! ( cautiously jumping for joy)

It's really unfortunate to see so many ill spirited comments. Why would anyone feel so resentful of others getting a little breathing space? It's a deferral for families with children and possibility to work. Why is the automatic reaction one of "them vs us" and assumption that another's good fortune will detrimentally and directly effect our own? Is it not refreshing to see something actually been done to address a system that isn't working but that no one Is taking action to fix? Before anyone tries to claim the intellectual spotlight on the ins and outs of how the immigration processes work, don't. I definitely don't, im the same boat (insert Mayflower joke here) as everyone else trying to navigate their way through this process. I witnessed similar animosity in regards to some expedited case, specifically of Philippino cases expedited due to the crisis there. This is not a personal attack on anyone, I just don't feel it's healthy, productive or serving attitude to adopt.

Oh also I should add there is no longer a breast exam, they are only required to take your temperature now instead ?? Strange but she said that had changed recently

As much as I hate the expression, "it is what it is". It will happen when it happens and not a minute sooner. There's nothing you can do to quicken the process so try to accept the wait and attempt to make it as good as it can be. You dont wanna look back in 6 months time and think "that was the most miserable period". For the sake of keeping your sanity, exercise a little self care and less defeatist attitude. Lol just speaking from my experience. My advice may be dusting of past experience and offering it for more than it's worth so feel free to take it or leave it lol but before I squeeze in any more nauseating, compensatory cliche...if life gives you lemons...

Our 5 month Mark arrives July 12th. I've got my vaccinations, filed for police check, started my cover letter of intent and bought my dress...I'm prepared up to my eyeballs and have done everything possible to distract myself from the increasing anxiety. I think the hardest part is not knowing what's going on and for me personally, realising I have no control over this process which plays such a major part in our lives. Replaying possible horror story outcomes in my mind and developing a unhealthy relationship with the USCIS website. It's really good to see people with the same timeline as us. I keep telling myself "life can't be that unfair, everything will work out". Good luck to everyone, let's try to collectively hold our s**t together and hopefully this is our month! Happy 1st July
