Thanks for the quick reply cyberfx1024. Yeah, I booked the flight to the USA. I already screwed. We made a mistake on the original CFO application, and it was rejected. I lost my airfare? And had to rebook a new flight getting a small discount so I made it. For the same day. This time though the CFO agent filled out the application for her. I hope I can get it the same day

Hello VJ people,
I hope you can help me with two questions. My fiancé has her CFO seminar on the same day as her flight. Will she get her CFO sticker that day at the end of the seminar?
And second, we made appointment, but want to verify it. Is there a website or number she can call to make sure she is scheduled for that day? She is from the Philippines.
Thanks

Hello VJ
We got approved over 5 weeks ago. But the embassy now keeps asking for more annulment papers. We finally, I hope, sent in the last of the paper work through NSO WEBSITE last wed. Does anyone know how long it takes from paying from the bank to hit NSO to them sending and the embassy getting that. Oh BTW, My fiancé was supposed to be here. I've must have said she'll be here in two weeks 20 times. My family is thinking I made here up :-)
Side note. The Philippines is so backwards its driving me crazy. You Have to go online to submit the forms then go to the bank and pay why not pay online. Talk about courpt and lobbying the banks don't want to lose that revenue. Screw credit card or debit cards. This is. The 21 century but in phillipines its 1952. Don't get me wrong I love the country and the people.
Thanks

Hello VJ folks,
We got approved for the visa, then 2 days later received a call from the Embassy that they needed another document. And a date that my fiancé annulment would be in the national database even though she had official stamped document. We sent in the document via 2go and emailed the date that NSO would be updated.
The question is how can we now that they received the documents and the emailed info. Is there a number we can call?
Thanks for any help

My fiancé interview is on 8/12 I'm on SSDI and make over the poverty level along with LDT from my last company. The paper work can be confusing. But the SSDI is well above the poverty line, by itself. Will I have a problem because I collect SSDI. On a side note I'll be going back to work in 2016.
Thanks

Thanks everybody! I was hoping that it would be quicker picking it up, knowing how slow their postal system is.

Hello fellow VJ,
Our interview in next Wednesday in Manila. My fiancé is from Davao City and has family in Manila. When we get approved, and decides to pick up visa instead of mailing, does anyone know how long it takes on average when she can pick it up?
Thanks

Did you include the letters of intent to marry. You need two one from both of you. They need to original signatures too.

Hello,
I have a question. We are ready to make interview appointment. My fiancé has completed all the paperwork from NSO. (Name change after annulment) she went to the passport office to change her name on her passport, back to her pre married name. They said we don't do that. My question is does she need to change her name on the passport. Or just bring in the annulment papers.
Thanks

Will the NVC notify us by email once they receive our petition and it's progress, or only by snail mail?
Thanks

Hello all,
I'm filling out my I-130 and I'm currently on SSDI and LTD. through my last company. I'm making well over the poverty line, 3 times the amount needed. I have letters from SSDI and my insurance company. Does anyone have suggestions or experience with this? I'd like to know will there be a problem or tips what to send. Thanks for any help
-
Hi,
You have to fill it out and send it. It requires your signature. It must be original, no copies. Good luck, I'm just one step ahead of you.

I use Xoom.com to send money. It's costs $4.99 U.S.

I'm in the process of using that service now during my K1. It made the first part really easy. You fill out a series of questions and it fills in all the forms. I like it so far. its a lot cheaper than using an attorney, and that what they specialize in, visas.

Hi Greenbaum,
That helps a lot. It sounds like you've been through this. As you can imagine Im very excited to get the finality papers in our hands. The annulment was finalized. Now I guess I'm just wait for the process you described to be completed. Do you gave any idea how much longer?
Thanks

My fiancé has gotten her annulment from the court. She has seen the papers, but they will not give them to her until they get receipts from the post office from the 3 agencies they sent them to. They stated they sent the letters Dec.13, 2014 but she has still not gotten the finalized papers. Does anyone know how long this process takes? She is from Davao, PH

Hello,
My fiancé has completed her annulment and now we are applying for the K1 visa. She is from the Philippines. When we apply for the visa is it best to use her current married name, or default back to her maiden name. I have heard it's better for her to use maiden name, but I'm thinking using her current d's last name. Does anyone have experience with this? On a side note she currently has a passport with her married name.
Thanks

Thanks Hank, I know that letter from SSDI. I wasn't sure that letter was enough. I'll have to call insurance company, for he other info. Do you know if that is a qualifying means tested income?
Thanks again.

Hi VJ
We've been waiting almost 3 years for my fiancé annulment to be completed. Well that day is here and I'm about to fill out the paperwork, for K1 visa. I-129, I-130 Here's my problem. About a year ago I became disabled and Im collecting SSDI and long term disability insurance from my company that will last until I'm 65, many many years from now. The SSDI alone brings us over the poverty line, and an additional $1000.00 from LTD so money is not the issue. I do plan on returning to work within the next year or 2.
Does anyone know what SSDI financial papers I need to submit, since I don't have current pay stubs, or a an employment letter from HR. I have 2013, 2012, 2011 and 2010 tax returns.
Thanks for any suggestions.

Is anyone having problems trying make appointment for B2 visa at the US embassy website in Manila? we have tried from two computers and the appointment link seems like dead link. Any suggestions?

I agree with last post. Go to a temp agency.. Most companies these days want temps, because they save on medical, sick days etc,. If he works out, most companies will hire full time, but it may take a year. My current job, I started as a temp, now I've been there 18 years. Also I know we only hire temps at first.

Her appointment is 2 to 5pm and her flight is at 11:55pm. She has about 4 hours before she needs to be at the airport. That leaves two hours for immigration, the flight two hours later.
We originally did the appointment online and printed it, but picked a k2 visa, it was rejected. Because it was the incorrect visa, not a K1. The agent there didn't care we had a flight that day, he made us rebook, but made a new appointment sports her. (I think he should have squeezed us in a new appointment) I had to reschedule the flight that day so I wouldn't have to pay full price again. I was under pressure I was freaking out and I made the flight the same day as the seminar.i just hope we get the sticker at the end of the seminar. Thanks jedetot
