  1. Exactly. We can't book flights, plan school stuff, wedding, nothing...

We have a unique situation. We backed out of our original K-1 processing back in 2013. Both of us needed to step back and make positively sure this is what we both wanted. In our previous attempt, our NOA1 was in October 2012 and didn't receive an RFE until June 2013. That's when we decided to drop the whole thing and marry in the Philippines instead. However, work interfered and I could not make the trip. So, after much back and forth and interaction; we decided to rededicate ourselves to one another. It doesn't matter how long it takes. I love my Cecille. I applied for her fiancee visa with a NOA1 on November 1, 2013.

We have both decided that however long it takes; however many obstacles we have to overcome with both our governments, we "are" going to be together. As a healthy male, it is not easy to be celebate, but I am very faithful to her. We will both jump through the seemingly "unfair" hoops that we have to knowing that eventually we will be together forever.

Faith and confidence in one another is not a easily obtained character trait. But we both have it in one another. So, let the USCIS investigate, interrogate and procrastignate. Cecille and I are one and we both know it.

    Sincerely,

    James Richard Peters, CPA

  2. I agree. That, and some cases being more straightforward than others.

I think the fact that both me and my fiance have been married before, and have children, probably complicates things. Plus, I already have a Social Security number, so I'm sure they're checking up on that. And I've received money from the US because I write and have received royalties. It wouldn't surprise me if all this makes the background checks on our case take longer.

Still, it's so frustrating to see people approved who got their NOA1 after we did. sad.png

Yeah, Sparkle Pony, this friggin SUCKS. Not jealous about the smooth 65 days interview folks, but really P.O.'d about our cases being thrown into the junk pile to be adjudicated possibly 2 months or more from now. I am being faithful to my fiancee and as a man, it sure as heck isn't easy. Please take care Sparkle Pony. Sincerely, Rick
  3. The phone number is 603 334 0700 but I think you will get better service with an email. It is their preferred method. The email address is NVCinquiry@state.gov

    Best wishes.

Thanks. I called them and they realized that start and stops happen sometimes but would have no bearing on the newest application. The lady was very nice at NVC. She said my latest I-129F has not yet been approved at the Texas Service Center. You never know unless you check. Thanks for the help Stica09!

    Happy New Year

  4. At first our interview was April but i keep checking the available dates every minute lol.. Then finally this morning 1 slot open for January and i grab it fast or else someone might gonna take it.. Always check the dates its very terrible these days specially for K1..

Plus our status from USCIS never change since it was approved no noticed if it was shipped to NVC.. U need to keep follow ups to them both email/call.. Thats what we did and everything move so quick now we are just relax and wait for medical and interview . Dont just sit and wait sometimes its not update thats why u need to do follow ups..

    Good luck...

congratz.. U got ur case number now!!!

My NOA1 was November 7th. Still no change in Alien Registration Number nor NOA2. Last year, we started a fiancée visa but after waiting over 6 months thought we would just get married in the Philippines so we voluntarily cancelled our fiancée visa request. Well, work prevented that from happening. So, we resubmitted a K-1 request and got our NOA1 November 7th. Since then, nothing. Could it be that NVC has our old and new case and just hasn't responded yet? We paid both fees both times. Does anyone have the NVC phone number?

    Thanks y'all

  5. question....alien numbers....i got the message it changed a while back...is this number shared by USCIS? I dont know my alien registration number and pretty sure they dont send us the actual alien number...i have the receipt number beginning with SRC...just makin sure im correct.

If anyone knows their alien number that filed in november can get me up to speed on where its at? Im pretty sure im ok but with the K1 of course you never know what your missing..lol

    thx yall!

I finally figured it out. EAC = Vermont Service Center; WAC = California Service Center; LIN = Nebraska Service Center; SRC = Texas Service Center

You have nothing to worry about.

    Sincerely,

    James

Yeah, we are in the same situation. We got an SRC # with the hard copy NOA1 but no "A" number. I wonder why?
  7. Holy #######!!! Here I was lamenting how I hadn't received a NOA2 yet despite my NOA1 being Nov 5th, and I just received a letter in mail saying that NVC has received and sent out my approved petition as of Dec 9th!!! Woooohoo! That means it is probably reaching Mumbai today! Amazing - my online status as well as the USCIS phone line says my petition is still in initial review with the last update Nov 7th, haha.

Never heard of that happening before but congratulations!

  8. Hi All,

Cecille and I have planned to marry since September 2012. I have known and supported her family since way back in 2002.

In late November 2012, I visited her again (something like the fifth visit over there - the Philippines) and in early December 2012, I filed an I-129F fiancee visa for her.

I sent it to the Dallas lockbox locaton as per the instructions at that time. Dallas then sent my application to Vermont. After receiving the NOA-1 in December 2012, we waited and waited and waited. Then, in May, 2012, we were notified that our case had been transferred to the Texas Service Center. Finally, by June, we discussed it and decided that we would instead marry in the Philippines and bring her over on a K-3 visa. So, I wrote a letter and asked for our K-1 visa application to be withdrawn.

My work got too involved here in the US (I was hoping to go over there in November), so we were not able to do that. So, after discussing it with her, we "re-applied" along with another $340 fee for a K-1 visa.

I mailed my application on November 1st. We got an e-mail that they had received it. Then, today, we received a written Form 1-797C NOA stating that our notice date was November 7 from the Texas Service Center.

I checked Igor's list and Igor predicts adjudication not later than December 29th. What happened guys? The last time I filed in 2012, Igor was giving me 5 - 8 month predicitions. Is is possible that we could possibly get NOA-2 by January? That would be awesome. If the List Guides on the Forum know of differences in procedures that sped up approvals, I sure would like to know.

Thank you and I wish all of you very quick approvals and happy marriages.

    Sincerely,

    James Peters

  9. Last night, I was so thoroughly irritated about getting an RFE I thought I would just go get trashed. But better judgment prevailed and I chatted with my fiancee' online instead. She calmed me down, told me to just trust in God and be patient. She's right, of course. I thank God for giving me such an understanding, beautiful (inside and out) hearted woman who loves me enough to show me patience and endurance. It will all be alright in the long run. Thanks for you having this forum to share.

  10. My RFE is for "Initial Review" is this bad? Any idea what it could be? I looked through the checklist here and am pretty sure we did not include Letter of Intent to Marry, would this be flagged as an initial review?

That could be. I don't recall sending in that type of letter either. When I applied, there was no written government requirement listed on the things that you had to send in saying that although I've seen many people write about it. I had the form that she signed. I thought that would be enough. Oh well, mine got flagged for RFE today too. It is probably the TSC's way of keeping their "stats" up. Who knows? Maybe something in our grammer was not punctuated exactly the right way. At least they are doing #~*#%! something with our apps.

Oh yeah! And Congratulations to those that got approved today!

  11. So darn many RFE's today on the Web. Has anyone ever heard of the webmaster punching the wrong code and it going from an RFE to Approved? I didn't get a text or e-mail as I did with my original NOA1. It was just happenstance that I checked the USCIS website.

I sure hope it is a mistake on their part not ours. I haven't seen a single day for us when so very many TSC tranfers got RFE's. Have you?

  12. This is what I got today when I checked my status. At least it's not the notorious "INITIAL REVIEW" Hopefully, it is something simple.
