  1. Lately it has been taking 8 weeks once someone gets the NOA2 before the NVC give you a case number, and IF your interview is being scheduled for you by the NVC/Embassy then it could take awhile longer. Some embassies the interviews are scheduled for them others you schedule the interview later after you get the packet from the embassy. Each embassies process is somewhat different than others, so best to find out what YOUR embassies policies, procedures are.

That is what I am talking about SOME embassies the notice from the NVC will include the Interview date, and if your embassy does it that way it can add a fe w days to the NVC process

Hollyday is right, the OP is strictly asking how long it takes from NoA2 till NVC receives their case. Embassy differences and interview scheduling shouldn't affect that time.

  2. So, I got the same thing, where it says "transferred to your local field office" and then I got a letter today that says it was transferred to the California Service Center. So does that mean my file should be processed soon? I want to read all these posts, but there is no way there are 173 of them lol.

If anyone could tell me, that would be great.

No one can tell for sure but figure about 30 days. The current CSC average from transfer to NoA2 for March filers is 17 days. That's counting only the approvals, not everyone who's waiting.

For comparison, I was transferred to NSC 30 days ago and the NSC average is 22 days.

  3. That is odd LovemyTico...We got a transfer notice yesterday but it said "transferred to your local field office"....NOT..."another office"

I didn't get the "another" either, look at my sig.

Does anyone have a theory on the difference between 'transferred to another office' and 'transferred to a local office' ??

Practically none, other than "local" being wrong. They both mean you're being transferred.

  4. Stay out of your life? Your life only exists because of a federal government. Our government has many, many issues, but having a hand in your life is not one of them. You have zero appreciation for what you have and where you are and you only want, want want. I weep for humanity. Compare apples to apples. Talk about Japan when it has 5,000,000 visa apps at any given time...

It's simply a matter of scale. I would be willing to bet that if Japan was faced with similar numbers, they would find a way to handle them efficiently and expeditiously. My experience with Japanese bureaucracy has been extremely positive. It's night and day by comparison.

  5. On 18 November our case was transferred to taxes office which is our local office

Taxes processing time is in 12 February 2013

Is that mean that the approval is close bec. We filed i130 in 5 April

And I read about the processing time in taxes

They don't have large pending cases

So any bady has an idea about the waiting time

    Because um done with waiting

And I tried to get b1/b2 visa to see my wife

They told me that I have to wait for i130.

I told them that the uscis have a workload and I have to wait additional 6 month

They said that : this information is wrong

And they said to me that I should call the uscis to get my approval because the processing time for our case is over

So nothing to do except waiting

    Thxx

Your case is well within the current "normal" processing times. Also, the memo that came with your transfer notice told you to call them if you don't get approved within 60 days of the transfer date.

  6. I see people keep wondering why they are not processed. Look at the spreadsheet you will see people who were transferred on 10/31 still not approved. I was transferred 11/05 not approved yet. There are still many people waiting.

Exactly. There are at least 55 March people transferred in October, as early as 10/23, who are not approved yet. Also, all the pending Feb filers were transferred in October.

  7. <...>

    NOA1. 11/march /2013

    transfered to NVC

but when ?thy didn't tell that

and our case status says .On November 21, 2013, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283..

Thanks for the NOA1. Do you mean, transferred to NSC? What was your transfer date ("Notice Date" on the transfer I-797C).

  8. When I started this process, as a foreigner I thought that Obama's lot were a lot better than the republicans and that the country was at least in the hands of a government that cared more about it's people. Oh how wrong I was! Obama apparently only cares about those who made it to the country illegally, if you try to do things the proper way you will be held up while they process hundreds of thousands of DACA applicants who didn't even pay in front of you. Citizens and their families are apparently second class. I feel like we need to do our best to get this out there on the news because I'm sure people would be appalled by this if only they knew.

Although I obviously disagree with the executive decision, I blame the republicans equally for constantly limiting government spending and therefore making it difficult to add the necessary personnel to handle the increased workload at USCIS.

  9. thank you guys Congratulations to all approvals !!! Good luck

How lond does it take ?from case complete at NVC til you got interview at embassy in cairo?and thay said you can call NVC After 30 days is that is ok?? Help plz .!!!Can wait to see my Husband againheart.gifheart.gifheart.gif

Congratulations! Can you please tell us your NOA1 date, and if your case was transferred, when and where?

For help with NVC, read at least the first 2 posts in the current NVC thread.

  10. After todays wave of approvals, Texas has caught up with Nebraska as far as percentage of approvals go: TSC 23%, NSC 24%. CSC is far ahead with 61%. Not only that, but TSC has the lowest average time from transfer to NoA2, 14.5 days. CSC is 16.7 and NSC brings up the rear at 21.4 days. You can see those numbers near the top of the s/s, to the right of the pie chart.

There are still several users who either don't have a transfer date or transfer center in the spreadsheet. Please enter them if you have a chance, especially those of you with NoA2.
