Let me add it also depends on the airline some airline refuse to let you on with expired passport..Others will then renew in Jamaica.

Happened to me it took 1 month and few weeks to resolve.Just check up on them that they are actually reviewing your case.

The iv bill will show up pretty soon once the lock is removed they are working on it. Just keep checking and they will email you once iv bill is invoiced also.Did you print the AOS barcode sheet to send off I864 and supporting documents?

Once Iv bill shows up and is paid DS 260 form should show up for you to fill just keep checking website....print off iv barcode sheet and send in civil documents.

Thats it and pretty much if you dont get any checklist for mistakes just wait for case complete and interview to be scheduled.time frame after you sending in all documents 20 business days..Call NVC to check up

It doesnt hurt to spell it out clear for these govt ppl....putting NA or none makes things clearer but its your choice if want to leave blank...only way it might hurt if some idiot looks at your application and misunderstands the blank .....but if a smart one gets your form you should be fine

Why did you email ds 230 in order to get an interview...Didnt NVC and embassy schedule your appt. automatically arent you doing a CR 1 visa....I have only seen K1 visa people email ds230 maybe thats the confusion and cause for mix up..You know these govt.ppl are stupid and get confused easily

I got mines back too...was in collage format on 8x11 sheet and they were returned back in May 2013 with same letter you received.

I got my approval in Dec 2013 without RFE for pictures so as long as you have other good evidence for bonifide relationship you should be ok.

Thank you i will keep on top of them...they did say yes they will look into it and they said they have international address on file so dont know why mistake was made...I contacted them Jan 6 and they said to wait they will review my case.

I am in same predicament now I called USCIS they put in service request and I also emailed Texas Service Center.January 6 and 13.Just waiting on outcome now.I got approved Dec 30th with same wrong wording about I 824 and that my spouse is in United States which is totally wrong..they are so called looking into getting my case to NVC pray this doesnt turn into a nightmare

What happened in your case did USCIS send your petition to NVC yet.

No they ask you questions orally and you give interviewer the answer.

It doesnt matter where documents are sent from just as long as they reach to NVC.

Yes send originals or certified copies along with photocopies to NVC.

Yes originald are returned at interview make sure you get them back.

Its your choice to bring back up of all civil documents to interview just in case anything got misplaced during NVC to Consulate stage.

Wow this lady ungrateful I read and follow these post and I just have to say shame shame on attitude.Patience is needed in this process, visa will reach when it reach .Pinkrlion is one of the most helpful ones to her and you see true colours reveal when "dutty i'm entitled attitude come out" Stop answer bcuz as she get thru and dont need real help wanna be rude to other members.

Re affirmed is for cases that got sent back to USCIS for a 2nd review for example if they got denied at embassy stage....So USCIS review and reaffirm their decision of initial approval.

Its not 68 weeks you grossly misunderstood,you just did not understand what person said and 6-8 weeks sounds like 68 weeks to you...Maybe a language barrier,accents ,hearing problem something

I never received snail mail NOA1 got email and text with case #...I called USCIS and they said they didnt send any out but I did receive another mail from them returning pictures so they have my address correctly.This is from MAY so I am just patiently waiting on NOA2 in mail once approved bcuz actually need that one to be physically in my file.

From what I understand if your brother in law filed joint tax return with your sister she has to do I-864A along with his I-864 bcuz she will be counted as part of his household. So you must use total income from 1040 as per instructions on form..Trying to do short cuts and avoiding extra paperwork will only get you in trouble so do it right the 1st time. Research some more to make sure you will do these forms correctly..hope someone else will chime in if I am incorrect in what I said.

Some airlines allow boarding got to check with airline but have to get passport renewed in Jamaica for return. Also Jamaica consulate can issue emergency travel document providing you have flight itinerary as proof.

Its best to be as accurate but I dont expect them to think you know every possible date you ended and started a job over the yrs.

Cant make this process give you heartache ,nothing happen before its time so just let go and let God handle it.Nothing we can do to speed up US immigration process,we all know its ridiculous how they handle it,your step daughter soon get through .Keep smiling

Tell us how you submit the ds260 civil documents ok,is it still gonna be snail mailed to them.keep us posted on this,step

Perhaps since you already sent in your ds 230 ,you may or may not get caught up in the new ds 260 fiasco.Does'nt hurt to triple check though to be safe.

They changing over from ds230 to the online version ds 260,this happened yesterday,so you and others at NVC stage will do this now.Keep us posted on progress for Jamaica.

They will review your AOS because its two different tracks.Just exercise patience sistren,the end is near.

Ok thank you for responding,i am picking up civil documents from my husband soon ,so just wasnt sure if to make pdf for online submission and leave originals for embassy interview or still take them all for regular snail mail when the time comes.I will be surely be following the Jamaica embassy for updates..thanks again
