My EAD expires in March. How do I renew it or how much is it

Hunni.March is 3 months away. Focus on that Mid January.I ddnt pay anything to renew and I don't think you would either. I got it in 3 weeks if so long.Dont worry

Usually when filing, ALL documents are submitted at once. If its not sufficient then an RFE is sent to you from USCIS ( request for evidence).I do not suggest you send anything until they send an RFE ( I hope and pray they do) . Lets see what others think.

Don't worry about not having Police Report. I had only one and some had none

Marriage Certificate, her citizenship copy, lease agreement, joint account, insurance, phone bills, doing therapy with Psychologist right now, police clearance reporting on the way. will prepare family, friends maybe landlord affidavit. No police report, no restrain order. trying to file Vawa basd on mental abuse

Not to be a back up. She has threatened me before the first interview, and I cannot believe her anymore. So I filed Vawa. But she still contacting me and tell me to go to the interview. now I know she was playing with me. I need to see the IO and tell them I filed Vawa, that's why I went to the rescheduled interview. But the IO said if she did not appeared in the interview, they can put a hold on my I485, but she did attend the interview. they cannot hold my I485.

Thanks for all the posters sharing their experience, we have learnt a lot by just read other's story. Here is mine.

Start to live with my wife since Feb 2013, got married in May. Filed I130 I485 and EAD and AD in July, got my EAD and AD. Start to have big problems with my wife, and she kicked me out of the house, threatened to withdraw my case and deport me out of the country. Missed/rescheduled our AOS interview. I filed I360 on Nov, and got the prima facie notice. Today, at the rescheduled AOS interview, while we waiting, she threatened me again, and decided to withdrawl her petition. I asked the IO to put a hold on my I485 since I have a I360 pending, the officer said they cannot do it, because it is filed under the wrong categary, and my wife already withdrawl her I130 ( 5 mins ago, she was called in first, then my turn), they have to make a decision on my case, which is denial. Do I still have any chance to do something to keep my old EAD so that I will not lost my job．If I have to re apply for the I485 and EAD, can I ask for fee wavier.

So to understand clearly, you filed Vawa but still was gonna go through with AOS interview knowing that you made a claim of abuse against your wife? Not only that, Vawa was gonna be a back up just in case, and as a result , you told IO to wait to see if VAWA come though before decision??? .. More and more confused

Sorry, but YOU missed what i was trying to say because i wasnt talkting to u. I quoted and replied to someone else. Yes i know what u were saying and i really appreciate that you trying to understand my situation. As you said, his boiologic father never were in his life whatsoever. He and his mothe hated talking about the father. Then why would I have to ask my mother in law for the father's name ? If course not to my ex because he has no idea what's the father's name or how he looks like.

Girl. If you dont know other's story, dont assume. I dont know my husband's father's first name because he was abandoned right after he was born and raised by his biological mother and step father. My husband doesnt even know his own father's name. Not all ppl use their fathers name as their middle. Yes i do know his all other family and friends name. So please if you dont know anything then hush.

You have missed what i try to say. I said there are many factors as to why a persons fathers last name is not readily available. my ex dint know his , i don't even know my own fathers first and last name because he was not in my life at all. As for not wanting to post here , thats on you but u have totally missed what I was trying to say. As for " hush" Really!!!

Yeah anajnic, sometimes if the father wasn't in his life he could even decide to change his name and not bear his fathers name at all. But then he will always tell his girlfriend/wife about it.so she knows! I don't what was the case with kitty's situation but I hope it alll get sorted out.

me too, i don't understand no husband birth certificate. I have it and know his social by heart.

Omg did you just say "you don't know the name of his father? Wow so you don't know your ex husbands middle and last name? Cos that's usually the fathers name and family name. How did you marry him, what names did he sign in the marriage certificate? I even knw the names of all my ex's 5 siblings too and some of his friends lol- but never mind I guess that's why uscis found it fishy and you got denied. But goodluck btw

I don't know my fathers last name, meaning, he probably dent even know his father. You don't know, I don't know.Could be many factors.I don't know my husbands father last name , he wasn't around in his life. so there. But I do have my soon to be ex birth certificate and so forth

I went to a lawyer and he told me that I needed to file I360. I told him my residency expired in 2014 and he insisted that the only thing I could do was file I360. He said that there was nothing I could do about my green card because since I divorced it was no longer valid. I should also add that this green card is in another last name. When I married I changed my last name to his and when I got divorced I changed it back.

My goodness. Maybe a long certified letter could be written , naming the attorney as the fault since you were misinformed.Cancelling the application and refiling it via the i751. Giving yourself the opportunity redeem yourself by cancellation.I don't know I'm just saying, hopefully Sandra can say something. Did you divorce within 2 years of separation or after?

Marlou if your case is with the local office it means they will schedule your interview. Wait 45 days maximumand if you don't hear anything then set up infopass appointment to find out what's going on .Do you live in NYC or NJ? I will be in NYC with some girls from visa journey

I also just passed the National Healthcare Association exam for Patient care techs.As a result I am a Certified patient care technician.I am waiting to sit Phelebotomy and Ekg National exams next Thursday. I had to pay 187$ for those exams so that also was an expense. Cant save when ur in school like that

Praise be to God Anajnic God brought you this far he wont turn his back on you now....having a EAD doesnt means immediate hire the next day gaining employment is tough right now considering the economy is not at its best......your on the right track investing in your education which makes you more marketable for the workforce I too am going back to brush up on a few rusty skills before re-entering the corporate world.....its all in Gods timing dont worry doors will open for you!!! Hi anajnic congrats on ur interview schedule. But how come you can't afford medicals? Did you get your EAD? Didn't you get a job with the ead? I think its only wise that once you get ead and start working you just save towards medicals and continuation oF the i485 cos it should be the most important thing until you get a green card. So I just can't figure out why you can't afford it. If you have worked for even a month.. I'm just saying. But goodluck

Thank you.Did have job and Ead.Things happen bills to pay, homelessness to avoid and as a result to take care of your immediate need.Things are slow, and I'm out of work right now for the last month but I should be interviewing with Home Depot soon so it will work out.Plus I paid for school out of pocket for Patient care technician, Phelebotomy and Ekg.. 3k plus dollars.Like I said i am not really worried my friend who is also on Vawa whose timeline is as mine will help me if the costs is reasonable. God will make a way since I am doing the best I can considering.He made a way before and he will and is about to do it again.
