self affidavit needs to be hand written or write on computer & take print out & sign it?

I wrote mines with my hand signed it. It was not even notarized. I re-read mines the other and cried , reading your life touches you just like it will touch the adjudicator

I have a question! My prima Facie is going to expire on the 5th . Already sent in a request for an extension.. Anyone who went through the same thing how long it takes?

2 to 3 weeks

So, what are the other things I need to work on to collect in order to prove my case?

I believe I have most of the things except gathering abuse related things.

And for that i'll have Affidavit from myself, psychological evaluation.

What else I might need to support my case?

Get affidavits from atleast 2 or 3 folks who know of the abuse. Document stuffs. when writing your affidavit.DO NOT write to impress, let the truth sell itself. It does not been to be penned perfectly (mine wasn't, it was about 5 pages).

See I just want to start the sessions as suggested by Sandra.

And I don't want to waste any efforts or time with wrong clinic/persons who are not able help me with my mental health sessions or not able to provide me proper documentation later.

I am trying to avoid the situation when i'll have couple of sessions, come back here

and you'll saying "My dear you gone to wrong place. Why didn't you ask here the people who already did this"

Just being little more pro-active to avoid mistakes. Life is already a mess why to add more.

I am going thru VAWA part 2 & VAWA part 3. I have just started here so it'll take some time for me to get good level of understanding.

Hello Hopeful12 , I have not received any correspondence except 3 months ago my case was transferred to NBC and vawa was approved 4 months ago.Still waiting , it has been a very long wait.

The Immigration Law states if the Vawa filer gets married before the Vawa approval the petition will be denied. I personally know many people that got married after their Vawa approval,but before getting the GC, but today one of my colleagues had a different decision in one of his case.The alien had the Vawa approved in 2012 and got married after his Vawa approval, but before receiving the Green card , but today USCIS denied his client's AOS with base in a interim rule (61 FR 13061] [FR 16-96]) that states "The rule further provides, however, that a pending spousal self-petition will be denied or an approved spousal self-petition will be revoked if the self-petitioner chooses to remarry before becoming a lawful permanent resident. By remarrying, the self-petitioner has established a new spousal relationship and has shown that he or she no longer needs the protections of section 40701 of the Crime Bill to equalize the balance of power in the relationship with the abuser".

Ben B all Vawa filers filing AOS have interview, but if the alien has a green card and submit form I-751 waiver based in domestic violence then it's possible not to have interview. I had 3 cases (I-751 waivers)the aliens did not have interview, despite their case were based in extreme cruelty.

My friend spoked to one of his cousin who filed for I 360 feew years ago , they got married and after two mounts she filed. She got her green card without an interview!

Somebody always know somebody who did something a certain way and got through. Regardless, you will be interviewed just like many others I know before me and those after me as well. Its no big deal really.Have a good day

Sandraj, dunno what to believe anymore bc my lawyer told me there will not be an interview bc they asked all the questions on the I 485 form in January when I had my initial interview but there was no decision on that day..

Dont know how experience your attorney is but I know one thing is certain . Each and every one of us will have an interview. no iffs ands or buts about it.

The Immigration law clearly states there are JUST TWO exceptions for claiming citizenship 1) is if the alien is or was a citizen (whether by birth or naturalization), the alien permanently resided in the United States prior to attaining the age of 16, and the alien reasonably believed at the time of making such representation that he or she was a citizen, 2) provides an immigrant waiver only where the false claim was made prior to 1997, besides that THERE IS NO such exception if you were or are spouse,son or parent of any US Citizen.
