In the UK right now, cancelled flying back this sunday to Newark, flying back next week, scared stiff

I heard this same story 3 times in the past month!

On the waiver visa on the plane they say you have to use UK, so any visa I would imagine that applies, I put UK on mine

So sorry to hear what has happened to you, like the others I would adise the relevant authorities, the US Embassy in London would be a good place to start, and inform where you were going to get your greencard in the USA of the situation.

Maybe a couple of the others you could PM in here who have been in similar situations, as regard to what to file?

I know Shona? was one but don't remember the names of others who have filed things after a collapsed marriage.

I returned to the Uk a week ago, was forced to use my USA drivers licence, its illegal to drive on your british one if you are not resident in the UK. Voids your insurance so I was told.

I recently got a new passport, I went to Washingto DC to do the name change, as I got married, what a pleasant experience it all was, I got to the british embassy, to be told by a helpful lady that it works out cheaper to have a new passport than to do the name change, so thats what I did.

It was also pleasant to hear all the british accents,,,,saying things like,,,,you alright mate? or Hiya!

If I want to sponser my brother to bring him to the USA, what is the timeline?

I have had some advise from lawyers online but each piece of advise seems different.

My status at this time I have a green card which is temp for 2 years, after which I apply for the conditions to be removed.

I have had advise to say that if I were to fill out forms now it would take 12 years but if I apply for him after citizenship it would take 5 years

Does anyone have any experiece/advise on this subject?

The other week we tied together lots of cardboard from the bathroom we had put in new, all tile boxes sink boxes etc etc,,,,we left them where the dustbins go,,,,a few days later I noticed that the bins had been empied ,,,so I left them a few more days thinking it was obviously another day for that,,,,a week later I rang the town hall to "give them a piece of my mind,,,after all we pay alot in taxs" only to be asked how long you lived in this town 2 years was my reply,,,,and you have never thrown cardboard out,,,no never! what about magazines, newspapers,,,,erm,,,I started to think here,,,no we don't have such things here,,, he than asked me what about tin cans,,,err,,,I don't have tin cans ,,,,he then said well for you information there is a recyle point,,,,oh where I asked,,,he told me,,,,then said,,,so in 2 years you have never brough anything to the recyle point err no i replied,,,,THANK GOODNESS HE DIDN'T ASK FOR OUR NAME!

My info changed the following day after biometrics were taken, try asking someone who has gone through the same office you went through there experience, I think each office is different.

As far as I know they make it pretty clear upon receiving the visa and entering the USA that you have to marry within 90 days,,,,,if I were you I would seek the advice of a lawyer. As far as the officials are concerned what could hold up getting married in 90days? Good luck.

I become housebound once it snows,,,they drive like crazy people over here before the snow,,,so I stay away from the driving when the snow is here!

Anyone have any info on where to get GOOD cheese from in California??? Or do the online stores have them?? I know I'm not even there yet but I spent 8 months last year without decent cheese and its one of my fave things!! Just a nice piece of Chesire or Wenslydale....jeees I'd even eat Stilton!

I will never know who wins it,,,,you see I watched fridays(the last time it was shown on dish) then I turned it on Monday (which was the next showing) and its gone back to the beginning again,,,fridays showed jake coming back,,,next thing mondays is dave being picked at the beginning,,,will I ever find out!
