Thanks! Originally my scan date was in August, but I got a checklist for AOS in October. New scan date was October 6.

THANKS! Your right I called them this morning 7 am on the dot. Call center lady said case was complete since last week. Very happy, my wife got the early morning good news also!

How long after NVC rec'd your file you were assign a case #?????

My AOS changed from paid to N/A sorry for the small picture

Is this true that when the affidavit of support changes to N/A along with the other N/As its a case complete. I just so happen to check a forum and then went and check mines for wife and stepson and there it was the big N/A under the AOS. Excuse the small attachment also not a good copy and paste of it either

Yeah I understand that.But what I wanted to know is will it be an issue during my citizenship process if i listed him as my son ,as I have him during my marriage to the US citizen.

No it wont. The Application for Naturalization (Form N-400) requires you to list all your biological children and under the law, any child that you have while you are married is also the us citizen who you are married to child also, even if she is not the biological mother as long as you are not married to the son mother cause that will be bigamy, and polygamy. I know things just happen in life but try not to let those happen again.

Well if there is anything that ask about your son then you should list him but at any case you need to get your citizenship first to bring him to begin with, what you should be concerned about is if the other parent of your son will let your son come because you are going to need her permission.

Is it just me, or has anyone else noticed some of the IV reviews taking just 30 days recently? I sent mine in on Nov 4 and was thinking it would be until Jan for a CC, but now I'm hopefull to get it in Dec!

did you get a 60 day wait letter. I know they are trying to find ways to get through all the paperwork faster which they should have done a long time ago. They are going to be even more busy with the latest situation with immigration.

We received an AoS checklist on 10/17 and the scan date for its package is 10/21

Its not the checklist thats upsetting its the wait. Its almost like a insult for US citizens to have to wait that long for a simple mistake to be resolve. Its just not right

maybe they just look at all the rest of the documents when they begin to go through one already.

I got this one email to me weeks later after I already sent in the civil documents with the cover sheet from the ceac website. I am sure its fine.

there is a 60 day wait for so they are trying to speed things up. Send everything.

If you have the cover sheet available for the documents which you can print out go ahead and send it cause there is already a 60 day wait.

Feel free to still give me the information but from reading it looks like the visa bulletin would not apply to me since am a us citizen cause there is no quota even though it does seem that way because of the long wait time.

You are absolutely right kmohaseb. November visa bulletin gives prediction for December visa bulletin for Family preference.

They have not done so in the previous ones, I just checked.

Can somebody fill me in... what does this actually mean VISA Bulletin Predictions? Currently I am waiting to hear word for my wife and stepson. I got a checklist October 2 for my wife affidavit of support which meant another 60 days after I submitted the corrections the next day. It was received the following week Monday October 6. Then I was not informed and did not know that I had to submit an Affidavit of Support for my stepson also which was one of the mistakes on my wife AOS cause I listed him. Actually he is not suppose to be listed no where at all on her AOS vice verse cause for every petition filed each person needs a separate AOS. The only way I found out was by reading information from visa journey which has been so helpful. Stepson AOS was received the next week about October 13, then that 60 letter was generated for that. Waiting to hear something either the first week or second week of December. Currently am at day number....35-44 depends on which one they go by cause I got 60 day notifications every time I turned in something. Then I got a letter they they received on September 10 what I believe was the Visa Applications cause that was the only thing I submitted at that time. Waiting for December, cant come quick enough!!

NVC should have been found ways to lessen the wait time. They have done family members of US citizens such distress. People want to be with their family how much proof do they need the wait time is proof enough.
