  1. I am glad for forums like this because most people only go by word of month. For instance that you have to pay for the green card fee before you travel. That is completely false, you have up to a year to pay for the green card and that should not prevent you from entering the country all having any problems. Most likely like the first response said the employer doesn't know the rules the temporary green card should be just fine to you recieve your social security and seek employment and doesn't change the fact of your husband status as a permanent resident. I am sure you have gotten this situation figured out since then.

  2. Never been asked about the marriage certificate because we had so much of them. I don't know what part of the stage you are at but we had an abundance of originals of marriage and birth certificates because for one at that time Guyana was asking for people renewing their passports and people getting their passports for the birth certificates to be no more then 6 months old. Since then that has been ruled unconstitutional and then the US embassy in Georgetown was requiring that the birth certificates and marriage certificates to be recently issued at the time of interview that they are no more then 6 months old. If they are asking for the original certified copy feel free to send them it, if am not mistaken you will get back all originals at the time of the interview. Which ever spouse is in Guyana can always get more certified copies of them just make sure you have a copy before sending in the originals.

  3. When you filled out your visa application they ask have you been ever been denied entry. You should have put in yes that way if it comes up at the interview you can explain yourself. As long as your honest I don't see it being a big deal. They would not have let you come this far if it was totally a huge problem. Be honest explain the situation, and remember that incident was separate from this current approval.

  4. Our I-130 was approved recently and I starting to feel anxiety over my husbands interview. We was denied k-1 visa in January 2014. I flew to India in April and we got married.I would think after denial we would be approved , but I wondering if this is wishful thinking. My husband said his interview went well till they asked about his family feelings on our marriage and my husband (fiance at the time) told the truth. His dad wants him to marry a indian hindu girl. We got married and my husband lost everything? Will they still deny us again? Does anybody know who been aporoved after being denied K-1 visa?

I dont think its none of their business how his parents feel, as long as you both are legally married you have nothing to worry about.

  5. can i ask whats an 3 N/a?

The three N/As will be shown in the summary information when you click on the CEAC website. If am not mistaken this summary will show after you fill out the Visa application since you will only have one time to do it. After that it will show you what you have done and no longer bring up the visa application, You should have a N/A under Civil Documents when you turn those in, You should have a N/A under Affidavit of Support and Financial Evidence, and last but not least under Affidavit of Support it will say Paid, when this goes from Paid to N/A call NVC it means you have a case complete.

  6. Unfortunately we were the unlucky ones. It used to be a 30 day wait for everything but after the end of the summer we got a huge surprise. Actually they saw this coming miles away when we started and when all those approved petitions got to the NVC it overloaded the system. For a majority of the people it has not took a full 60 days and it didn't for me even when I got a checklist. Usually NVC has been able to get back to people before 60 days maybe like 45-50 days which is not a big difference. Hang in there and hope you don't get a checklist, and about or after 40 days keep an eye on the fee payment section on the CEAC website. If your AOS goes from paid to N/A if you already don't know that means your case is complete. One night I just so happen to check mines and there it was and I gave them a call the next morning, the call representative said yes that my case was complete and that it was complete almost a week ago. Look for three N/As. Even when your case is complete you will still find that the NVC is a little behind with case complete emails, and finally getting a interview date in Lagos.

  7. Ok guys she is on her way there now in manila..monday she will go for it !!

    Pray for her...

Has any woman on VJ experience this on hand??????? Did u go get ur exam while ur on ur period? ??? What happen when u went???? Im not getting a straight answer on here....im gettin mix answer. ..

If I can give you any words of advice I sincerely think that this is something you shouldn't worry about unless you have gotten specific word that they do turn woman back. The medical shouldn't be that intense where a woman's natural body function would interfere in here passing the medical. From my understanding its just vaccinations and a normal physical. If a gender confirmation needs to be made that should be proof enough. She is coming to America not outer space so unless you heard something different don't get yourself worked up. I do understand certain cultures view that topic differently.

  8. I couldn't imagine a doctor holding back a woman from completing her medical just because she was on her menstrual cycle. That would be bizarre especially considering it is a doctor and that is a normal health situation for a woman. But then again if there is enough time a medical can simply be scheduled when its not that time of the month since that is one thing we have control over.

  9. We received an email this mng that said, my husband the sponsor didn't send a AOS form for my daughter, they only got one for me. Now bare in mind that we have already sent Nvc the IV supporting documents & have already filled out the IV applications for both of us My daughter & i and All fees r paid. So it's kinda strange that we got this checklist email, cause we sent both AOS forms at the same time bk in August . In October we received a checklist also from Nvc to correct the errors that was on my AOS form, we did and sent it rite bk to NVC. My questions are: Didn't they notice my daughter's error in October also, when they noticed mine, didn't they see that an AOS form wasn't submitted for her ? ( although we sent it since August) If they didn't received an AOS form for my daughter, how were we able to move to another stage of the summery, filling out the IV application, by paying the IV fees by sending supporting documents, how were we able to do all of that? And to add insult to injury, I called NVC this mng was speaking with the operator (didn't get her name) we were going bk and forth and wasn't getting anywhere, so I asked her can I speak to ur supervisor? She said concerning, I said this same issue, the next thing I heard in my ear was a robotic voice saying "GOOD BYE" and the phone cut off. I sat there and I cried cause it hurt. My husband has been serving in the USARMY for the past 18years & counting, and this is the kind of gratitude we get????? Smh Is that how NVC operates??

This thing we going through is very stressful. I would have never thought NEVER. But there is a light at the end of the tunnel and you are going to come out of this flawless and strong. When I was at your stage I didn't even know I had to do a AOS for my stepson. They don't consider your AOS and your daughter AOS together. Its completely separate not to the very end they will put everything together. Hang in there its just a test. Even with my wife interview less then a month away I feel like am on my last leg.

  10. Just a question. My petitioner already got the schedule of my interview through e-mail. Jan. 9, 2015. Although I know that we do email processing I'm still aware that I haven't got a printed interview letter from the US Embassy. What am I gonna show to the US Embassy if I don't have any proof that the US Embassy sent me an interview letter. HELP?

see if the petitioner can express mail you the interview letter or forward it to you so you have a copy.

  11. Received a checklist for affidavit of support. Few items needed correcting. Can someone please tell me how long does it take them to review? Is it the usual 60 days? I feel like I have been waiting in vain ?

That Affidavit of support has gotten almost everybody a checklist. It might not take the whole 60 day wait time. A good way to check to see if it finally goes through is on the CEAC website. When under the AOS it goes from PAID to N/A give NVC a call right away. Means your case is complete.

  12. Hi i called nvc today and just found out that we were supposed to receive an email telling us we have to redo the aos because my husband did not put the total of his income :(( i am not really sure what it is all about but for thoae who had to have rfe do you still have to wait 60days again before case complete?

    THANKS!!!

It needs to be his total gross income
