We just did ours last month - sent to Washington DC Consulate since we got married on the beach in Florida. We originally put Gina's last name - her previously married name (she was widowed). When we received the Accepted and OK'd form back we noticed they changed her name on the form (using white-out and a pen) to her birth name which they got from her birth certificate we also had to send in. So nice of them to make that change for us, instead of sending it back and making us do it ourselves and send it back in.

We are another K-1 couple with no success at Social Security Office We went there yesterday and tried to get Gina's last name changed on her card to her new married name. Two different employees told us we had to wait to do it AFTER receiving the green card. We got married June 14, but they cited that her K-1 Visa "expired" June 28, and they cant do anything until they see a green card. We did show them our I-797 papers showing we are in the process of AOS. We'll just be patient and wait.....waiting has become our hobby and past time, and patience is a virtue!! lol

He's the best!! Saved me many dollars by assisting us in our journey and many questions......and my own "self-imposed" problems!! He gets my vote if he ever runs for US President. Gina and I are both in our 50's, but if we get pregnant, our first child will be named Hank......whether it's a male or female!! Hahaha. God bless to Hank and his family, and many thanks!

I retired in 2012 and I pay $300 dollars a month on my pension single plan. I inquired about adding honey Gina to my plan after we marry and they said it will be an additional $1,200 dollars per MONTH!!!! Why is it SOO much more to add her to my plan??? MAKES NO SENSE!! Its with United Healthcare. I am NOT giving 1/3 of my monthly pension away on something we don't even use - neither of us takes any medications or even gets sick and goes to doctors. We are very healthy people.
Does anyone know of any "cheaper" plans available?? Is there any plans that "foreigners" or "immigrants" can get here in the USA cheap since typically these fiancé's - or new spouses are not working yet??? Much appreciation....good luck to all, and GOD BLESS!!

Its much appreciated, and will help the rest of us who will hopefully going through that medical process soon.They didn't mind you taking pictures inside the hospital/medical facility there? I guess cameras are allowed in there, just not the Embassy for the Interview. Am I allowed to go in St. Lukes and sit with my lovely Fiancee Gina while she takes her medical tests? In your review you said the Doctor asked you "Did you had sex since your last menstruation?" Just curious....how does that affect the medical exam? Should you refrain from having sex a few days or weeks just prior to the exam? Once again Congrats, and thanks!
