hmmm...so should i go get an xray exam at a different clinic to be sure?
-
so what is this sputum test that everybody is talking about? and what is the likelihood that a fiance or spouse will get this test?
I am supposed to go get an advance medical test but i am anxious about this sputum test.
Is it ok to get an x-ray exam even if the appointment date will/might come in a month's time?
# just wanna be enlightened
many thanks

what i've learned from the CFO people is they tend to ask questions again and again and they really need to be convinced with the answer. Everything that they will ask are based on what they've discussed. We just really need to pay attention.
I am also from zambales and its really tough travelling for hours and getting the pressure in the city plus the pressure inside the CFO building for the fiance and spousal application's questions . It feels like all you wanted to do is to finish everything and hope for a yes from them and leave and be with the man you love.
But that's not always the case. They knew people that are naive and very quiet. Seems like they wanted that person to talk because in case problems come in the future, she will know what to do also.
your fiance will go back there again and will be asked for the same or different kind of questions and papers...confidence and honesty are plus points.
You'll be together soon

husband will be sending out our documents on tuesday (since monday is memorial day).
it got delayed because of one clearance (the NBI/police clearance) i need to get in my country which i waited for 3 weeks to be issued to me.
on one of the forum, a vj friend mentioned that they submitted the AOS and IV documents together. But can it be on the same envelope or better to have them on a separate envelopes?

NBI
in Philippines
ok i finally received my NBI clearance after 3 weeks and then saw a new sign at the NBI office that says, "indicate if its travel abroad, travel US, visa US, travel Australia, Visa Australia, etc"...yay what are these things???
On my nbi clearance it just stated "travel abroad"
Is this a new one also as required by the Us embassy/NVC?
The personnel at NBI adviced me to get another clearance that is for "travel and visa USA" and he said it will be pending again for 3 weeks....
ok ok ok...here's what i will do.....i will send all the documents now to my husband

I've read a lot of post here that say beneficiary can have their medical examination in advance as long as they have the MNL# already.
I am not just sure if this applies to K1 only or for all visa immigrants and non-immigrants type like mine which is IR1
We got the MNL# a month ago and now waiting for one document, my NBI clearance, which have been delayed for 3 weeks plus another week because of some system problem (this is according to the NBI personnel).
My question is, can my husband schedule a medical examination at St. Luke's using the MNL # that we got or should we submit all the documents at NVC and wait for further instructions from them?
Is there a link we can use to schedule the examination?
thank you once again VJ friends.

NSO documents have no seal or stamps. But usually people going abroad have their documents authenticated by DFA (birth cert., marriage cert, diploma, transcript, police clearance, NBI clearance etc.)
is the red ribbon authentication by the DFA be made as per request by the NVC/USCIS/Embassy? Or should we just go to DFA to have it authenticated?...uhmm just curious

I will be staying there and would love to meet fellow VJers and also pinoys. Thank you.

I would recommend LBC as well. The documents arrived in 3 days. I dunno if it's the same in other states, but here in Portland,Or. it is delivered by DHL to my doorstep.
that's one of my experience too...i sent some docs to my husband in guam via lbc and was delivered to him with the dhl packaging. we have DHL here in my city and i guess i will try to go straight to their office maybe its cheaper.
-
than you VJ friends for the quick response.
Just something that i noticed when i sent some documents to my husband in Guam 1 year ago, i used LBC but was surprised when he show me its under the packaging of DHL.
i dont know if we still have Fedex here but i heard about 2go. Does anyone here sent via 2go.
And i will take your advice,i will try LBC again

I know most of you who did the visa thing somehow sent documents to you husband or fiance or relatives in the US. I just would like to ask which courier companies charge cheaper from the Philippines to the US.
I will be sending documents soon...the papers my husband need to send to the NVC.
Thank you and God bless.

NBI
in Philippines
So here's my story:
When i was not married yet, i have no problem getting an NBI clearance, it usually took me a day just to get one.
BUT last year, when i get one for CFO and passport purposes, i waited 3 weeks to get a clearance. NBI officer told me there's one person bearing the same name (as single) as i am. (Which i believed is the same ME)
2 months ago my NBI clearance (under my married name) expired and so i needed to get another one for visa purposes (that includes submission to the NVC) and the same thing happened, i need to wait another 3 weeks before they will issue it to me.
Why on earth it has not been corrected in their system? they said there is no same name for married name but for the single name. And still i need to wait 3 weeks...no expedite process.
Next thing is MEDICAL

thank you for the response. i will get an advance x-ray from my local clinic here in my city so i can show it to them at st. lukes for comparison.
will it not be suspicious when i got this xray exam just near the actual medical exam?
