I am pregnant and my expected date of delivery is on September. I would like to know if there's a possibility that

i could bring my mom here before i gave birth?

I have a 10 year green card, arrived here September last year (2013) and is not currently working.

What kind of visa does my mom needs for her to come here and help me out even for just 2-3 months of stay?

hi there...i am also from zambales. i guess its a bit late for my message here but just in case maybe we can talk (me and your fiance)...i am a bit homesick too and its only my first month here in the US. There are so many filipinos in Hawaii...and so many pinoy activities ive heard.

i dont see a lot of pinoys here in Rochester, NY but i also hope to meet some.

And i dont have iphone or ipad or filipino magazine to keep me busy...but i am happy doing the household chores, cooking and washing clothes for my husband and get a kiss and appreciation at the end of the day.

I live with my parents and relatives all my life and this is the first time that i am away from home...its a completely different thing here coz everything is fast and people are busy.

And now, here i am again and would like to ask about the "change of address"

We recently moved and i tried to fill out the online change of address i saw on USCIS but could not get through. FIrst, because i didint answer the line that says "Employment/School"...because i am not yet employed (but on job hunting situation here hehe) and second, my point of entry as far as i remember is in Guam which is not shown on the dropdown form.

What to do now?...seems like the online thing doesn't work for me now or this is a "shutdown thing"???

done paying the immigration fee before i fly here in the US. I arrived last week thursday.

And oh i saw something wrong with my ss name.

Its my middle name...they're missing one letter. Oh-o. For example my middle name is Villanueva and they only print Villanuev. So what to do with this?

Ive just got the ssn in thr mail today and its my birthday. So what would be the next step after this? Greencard might come soom too. (Hopefully)

Now can anyone tell me or give me an idea when will my gc and ssn arrived? will it arrived the same date or do i need to fill up another form for the ssn? BUt i remember checking SSN on our DS230 form.

BTW i am on IR1 Spousal Visa.

i also have an e-ticket from United Airline and they told me the travel tax i already included...so need to pay terminal fee only.

I just have some concern because my husband told me to get the ticket from the united airline booth at the airport aside from the itinerary e-ticket that they've sent me via email.

so since its my first time, i would like to ask what to do about this. Are there tickets given at the airport really? or eticket will do?

Followup question, how long will they serve my greencard if my POE is Guam? I heard that you will get your card depends on your POE...is this true?

So would this mean, the nearer the POE to your US address, the faster the delivery?

Just would like to be enlightened about the Point of entry.

I will be travelling soon.

I will have a stop at Guam, Hawaii and then Newark....so what is my Point of Entry here?

Got the ticket for second week of September flight at $736 including the philippine travel tax....awesome. Husband said its a good deal. (with free snack and breakfast) MNL to NEWARK

The price given to me by my airline indicate that phil travel tax lready included...but not the P500+.

hi...i am going to use UNITED AIRLINEs too...how did you reserved the ticket? Because my husband tried to book for ticket but due to restriction, he was advised for me (the beneficiary) to buy the ticket here in PI. He will just send the money for that. Why is it that they didnt allowed him to buy ticket using his bank account?

thank you all....yes we are trying to buy oneway only...airlines advised my husband to just send me some for the ticket and buy the ticket here. We are trying PAL, DELTA and UAL...dont know yet which will give us good deal

looking for great deals on airline from Manila to NY...can anyone help us? Husband wanted me to buy from here because he tried calling united airlines and some other airlines and the staffs kept talking about restrictions and laws.
