Got my appointment letter. I'm attempting early walk in tomorrow.

Yes! I am not planning to take too much clothing material with me. I only wish I can take lots and lots of food with me! I love the food here in Malaysia! So, when you moved, you took some instant spices? There's no rules on what I can and I can't take with me? Selamat Datang is correct. Terima kasih!
I'm the US citizen but my husband is from Indonesia. He got here in September. You can not bring fresh fruits or veggies and you can not bring any meats. You can bring instant spices, noodles, etc. Good luck with everything. Terimah Kasih Kembali! . I wasn't sure if indo and Malaysia were exactly the same.
-
Voted. Is that the same as agreeing because it's the only button I see?
-
Focus on bringing favorite clothes, keepsakes, and things you can't get here. You will be able to buy yourself some new clothes once you're here. I wish I had brought more instant spice packets for rendang, soto, etc. You will be craving familiar food pretty often. Good luck! Selamat Datang ke Amerika. Haha. I hope that's right.

Hi Izzy.. We received NOA1 on Saturday ( Jan 11) thank you
Yay! Let's hope this all goes fast! I'm ready for a normal life!

Does it seem like forever just to get a biometrics appt. to anyone but me? I'm so ready for the EAD!

Hey girl. I messaged my friend again and asked her to contact you directly. I know she knows the answers about the passport name change. Let me know what she says if she messages.

there is a likely to be quite funny show coming on TLC called 90 day fiancé. They were screening some of us K1'ers as possible couples to follow our process and first few months in the US. They were looking for lots of those first OMG moments. It premiers tonight, check it out My now wife and I are planning on getting a few laughs from it
I'm watching it in an hour. I wonder if any of our fellow VJers are on it. I'm sure it's going to be funny!

Hey, what's wrong with the south? I'm from the south. Lol. My husband had a hard time here at all. It's a culture shock to be in the USA in General but no one has pushed anything on him. The people here are very friendly and will smile and talk to anyone. He loves that part.

We sent ours on Dec31 and just got our NOA today. It also took longer than 2 days to arrive, even though we used 2 day service.
-
I got paper NOA1 today. That's 12 days from sending the packet, which I sent express mail. I would assume the wait would be longer if you didn't use an overnight or 2 day service.
HK, would there be any way for you to inquire about it? I'm not sure what you could use as a reference except your tracking number from USPS.

ButterflyAngelo might have an opinion here.

I mailed mine Dec 31 and just got txt notification. Still haven't received paper NOA1 yet. They have cashed my check. That was just done yesterday.

I'm a January AOS filer.

Thank you. I like knowing where my case is and had not heard of MSC. I'm so anxious for things to move along, as I'm sure everyone else is as well.
-
I'm sure it's probably here somewhere but I didn't see it, so I'll just ask. I got my text notification of my case acceptance. It has the numbers MSC in front. Is this where the case will stay for AOS or will it eventually be transferred somewhere else. TIA

Thank you for the reply! He has met some indonesian guys here but since he can't get a drivers license without an EAD, he's very limited on seeing them. I'm a nurse and I work anywhere from 48-60 hours a week at night. That has made things even harder but we need the money as we are hoping to buy a new house soon. I will try to get him involved in something around here and, hopefully, that'll help.

The article mentions hypospadius. That was the first clue....

Hi guys. My husband recently moved here on a K1 visa and we married. We've already filed AOS. It seems like the transition has been very hard. I lived in Indonesia for 4 years so I understand but I'm pretty adaptable and not really one to want to be close to home. Can anyone give me any ideas? I know the youngest Indonesian son typically doesn't leave home. I'm feel so helpless. I want him to be happy. I even suggested him going back if it would make him happy. I would do anything for him to smile again.

Anyone know which office I should go to? I'm in Hot Spring, AR. There's 2 offices about equal distances from here. I'll try the walk in when I get my letter.
-
We did our whole process in Jakarta. Feel free to message me
-
Sorry I didnt mean it to come accross that way and I know why
we all come here is for some assistance. I know its complicated
and can be a burdensome process and I apoligize! You will have no
problem with the I-864.
Thank you. Yes, it is burdensome. Especially since I have a sick baby (chronically Ill), trying to work, and doing this. I'm a bit overwhelmed.
-
(Wow that's kind of harsh. "Stop relying on others"? Aren't we here to help others get through this process?)
izzylove...I don't think you will have any problem.
Aloha Ke Akua
Thank you. I thought it was harsh too. I'm pretty sure I haven't done anything to deserve that. I guess they've never asked questions here. Thank you for the input. I got a little nervous when she told me I had filed the wrong form. Lol. I feel much better now.
-
Read the form it will tell you whether you can use it or not.. stop relying on what others
are telling you.....the forms come with instuctions. Good Luck!
I did read the form. That's why I filed what I did. I was looking for some reassurance that I filed the right thing. I thought that's what VJ was for. Why do people here insist on writing things that aren't nice or helpful?
Thinking of early walk-in for biometrics?

Could someone add Arkansas as a yes for early walk in. Our appointment was January 31. Attempted walk in on January 17. Successful!
