finally my IV DS230 is done
, nothings wrong with that. now just wait for I-864 checklist to be review again..
Awesome!!! Big congrats!
-
14 days since we sent DS3032 and no reply yet
.
Seems like NVC is getting loaded with all our approved petitions.
-
Me too.I dont know why status "Paid" become "Not Paid" today....!!!
Still waiting for the AOS cover sheet!
So sorry for you guys! Let's hope this week brings good news to all of us.
-
so as i have an attorney assigned, then both AoS and IV should be issued together after 5-7 days.. is it correct?
Sorry, but I don't have any info about it.
-
waiting for AoS & IV bill..
How long does it take? 5-7 days?!
You are right 5-7 days for AoS bill. However, they have to accept DS-3230 before IV bill is generated. After DS-3230 is accepted, it usually takes just several days for IV bill to come up.

no no I haven't got checklist yet for my IV. only got checklist for I-864 my husband. but I found that I misunderstood the question #31a. I shouldn't put my husband name. I called nvc, they advice me just to wait until NVC completely review it. but that's mean I hv to wait for much longer time.
but if I send the correct one, im afraid nothing will happen in future. oooohh super confused!
Thank you n4th4ly4 for the explanation! I'm now worried if my husband should redo his DS230 or leave it as it is.
Anyways, good luck in this review process! Hopefully they will understand our confusion and everything will be OK.

uuppss.. I already wrote it and sent it. whuaaaa
what should I do? this could be potential checklist for my DS230. should I send the correct one right away eventhough NVC haven't give me checklist yet?
Sorry, I got confused a bit. Did you receive checklist for IV package because of 31a or you think you might get one?

My husband did the same thing, because I am planing to come to USA together with him. If a problem arises because of that I will try to explain that this is for support and I don't need any immigration processing for myself.

I meant 6 months of pay stubs
I'm using a Joint sponsor b/c I don't have any income since I'm a medical student - the last time I had a full time job was back in 2009
Got it! I'm using household member as joint sponsor (i864a). We should be good

Any updates on your i864 that you submitted?
To my understanding 6 months worth of W2s and last tax return should suffice? Or will other things have to be added as well?
Nothing yet on my i864 and I really don't expect any feedback so quick. I think it will take at least two weeks for them to review it.
Nothing on DS-3032 either (((
I thought you get W2 only once a year, please explain what you mean by 6 months worth of W2s.
You could add proof of your current income in addition to tax info for past years. It could be a letter from your employer, bank statements, contract, anything you find as good proof
As said in i864 instructions it is optional.
To prepare my package I used i864 instructions on the USCIS site, along with Saylin's checklist and this http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3197.html

Agent Jesus sent an email on July 9th that my choice of agent submitted by email was accepted and processed. I did not do anything in the meantime...so first agent rejected, someone else picked it up and processed it...
Today we got the IV bill, so things are back on track eventually
My AOS pack is ready to return...I'm in Europe currently, but going back to US next week, so will post from there.
Congrats! Thanks for the update!
-
to my surprise, I received this response from NVC after submitting the choice of agent in email:
Unfortunately, the principal applicant's assigned U.S. Embassy/Consulate General does not participate in the National Visa Center's Immigrant Visa Electronic Processing Program. Therefore, all forms and documents should continue to be mailed to the following address:
Hi zeroka,
Sorry to hear about it. Have you called them?
It's really strange, since this email thing is not directly connected to electronic processing.
-
Lol! After posting reply, I started panicking as well and called NVC. The lady confirmed that this is ok, and applicant's name will appear there when invoice is created. So phew! nothing to worry about here.
I would call them and ask why they have listed your kids, just to be 100% sure.
-
I just called NVC now and got my IIN.
I tried to log in the payment portal using my IIN and Case #.
Funny thing is, under the IV fee invoice, the names of our 3 kids are listed there with caption NOT INVOICED. Our kids are already green card holders since 2011 because they immigrated with their father (my husband) via F2B.
Is this normal? My name is not listed under the IV fee invoice. Should I panic?
Cannot say anything about kids, but my husband's name isn't listed under IV as well. I assume it's ok and it will appear there once they create invoice.

My i-130 was approved on June 24, 2013, now I am waiting for the NVC case number. I read online that most likely the F2A category will become current in the August visa bulletin, so I'm hoping that they will give my wife an interview as soon as possible.
Congrats on your approval and welcome to NVC thread!

I cant seem to find the link, but it was mentioned in some law firm's site that dates were going to be current for F2A, according to AILA meeting held in last week of june.

Hi apple21,
I am attaching signed letter to my i864 that explains why I didn't file taxes. Something like this:
A short letter from the USC explaining the lack of returns should be enough, with a reason. Here is what my husband wrote- this was accepted no problem:
To Whom It May Concern:
I am Mr Penguin, Penguin's husband and petitioning sponsor. I did not file an income tax return for the years 2005, 2006 or 2007 because I have not worked during my 3 year residence within the Republic of Ireland. Once I came to Ireland, I was unable to find work and so used savings; I was maintained by my wife upon her income and savings. Since I made no income for these years of any type, I was not required to file an income tax return with the Internal Revenue Service.
Sincerely, Mr Penguin.Maybe this is what they are looking for.

Thanks apple21!

Hi guys,
Do you send photos together with DS-230 or just bring them to an interview?
Here http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/422214-nvc-filers-april-2013/ it is said that one should send them, but
from NVC page:
If you are applying for an immigrant visa, using either Form DS-230 or Form DS-260, you must provide two (2) identical photos at your immigrant visa interview. (http://travel.state.gov/visa/visaphotoreq/visaphotoreq_5334.html#immigrant)
Confusing!

I wish NVC had portal to check status of cases. I try not to call them everyday, but it's sooo hard!

Thank you for sharing the info!
