  1. Sent our packet off on the 4th using basic priority mail. (adjusting from K-1) Delivered on the 6th (they deliver on Sunday?!). Got 3 emails last night of acceptance. Using receipt number for tracking, looks like NOA1 for EAD and AP is April 7th, and AOS is April 9th. Check cashed this morning (10th). Woot!

Let the waiting begin! This is a much easier wait than with the I-129f - at least my love is with me now!

WoW! That's great! Am still preparing my husbands (adjusting from K1) and hoping to send it by tomorrow.. So many paper works, so confusing, lol! Anyway, on ur AP, what did you write under "Purpose of travel"??? and "Countries plan to visit"??? Thanks

so glad I found you guys :)

  3. Hi Vjers!

Been trying to find a civil surgeon in Corpus Christi, Texas, that would transcribe my husbands vaccination sheet to I-693 without doing any medical/physical check up again.. He had his medicals in the Philippines, and his vaccinations.. But the vaccination sheet says incomplete.. Does anyone know a civil surgeon in town that would do such? Is it by appointment or can do walk in? how much?

    Thank you guys!

  4. from my experience, I bought my husbands ticket on Expedia.com and chose PAL. They just asked for his Passport Number and no Visa info. He did not have his visa on hand at that time when I booked his flight. I initially tried to book it online with PAL directly but couldn't book it for I don't know why, and so I tried Expedia.com, able to book it right away with no problems. They got the same price. His flight was last Dec 27, 2013, MNL to LAX

  5. Hi i'm wondering if bringing properly packed Bangus in the states and things like magic sarap etc will be fine in the immigration. My point of entry is LAX. Salamat ☺️

Am thinking of the same thing.. lol.. when's your flight by the way? my fiancé is 27th..

  6. Hello, I have recived my appointment letter for a K1 visa and it states that I only need the DS-160 and The -134 and does not mention anyting about any other forms. Do I need the DS-230 Part 1 & 2, DS-156,DS-156k and DS-157? Thanks

no need for other forms.. just complete ds-160 online, and print the confirmation page to bring with you for the interview.. as well as I-134 with petitioners original signature, and supporting documents.. Good Luck! =)

  7. Well, she is leaving in 2 weeks so mailing a sim card is probably not an option unless I want to pay FedEx $50 to send a $3 card lol.

my fiance is leaving in 2 weeks as well (Dec 27) with LAX as POE.. he has an unlocked phone so am sending him a t-mobile sim card later today that's compatible with his phone.. it's "pay-to-go", so i just loaded it with $50 so he can use it for call and text.. i told him to prepare and bring quarters as well, just in case, the sim card didn't work and so he can call me thru pay phone.. if nothing really works, i'll just be waiting for him outside since am flying to LAX as well that day to meet him there..

  8. My fiancée and I arrived together in Dallas, Tx, which was our POE. All during the flight, my fiancée was so worried about any questions and kept saying "I hope that don't send me back".

At Immigrations, I went in the line for US Passports and she went into Immigrants line. After a few minutes, an Immigrations Officer asked me if I was alone, and I told him no, that my fiancée was in the other line for K-1's. He took me to be with her.

After going through and having her fingerprints taken and handing in her visa package, we went back to the Immigration's area to wait to be called. We were there about 2 hours, and my fiancée is very worried. We were finally called and went up to the window. I was asked a couple of questions--where or how did we meet and where would we live. That was it. NO questions for my fiancée at all. Here she had been so worried and they didn't ask her anything.

I have read questions asking whether to travel with your fiancée or not. From our experience, it is much easier if you travel together. Not only at Immigrations, but waiting and transferring in other airports.

For us, we went from Manila to Tokyo, layover of 4 1/2 hours, Tokyo to Dallas with another 4 1/2 hour layover, and then Dallas to Corpus Christi.

Good luck and merry Christmas to all.

WOW! Congrats! so are you back in corpus Christi already? Am from Corpus Christi as well.. my fiancé's arriving this 27th (am so excited) but his POE is LA.. I'll meet him in LA then we'll fly together to Houston then Corpus Christi.. smile.png

  9. CBP has a list of restricted or prohibited items. Most meat products are listed as the transfer of disease with dead animals is very high. We were asked several times if we had any Kazy on our last trip back from Kazakhstan. We really wanted to bring some with us, but saw that it was prohibited so we had to leave in with her Mother. Too bad, as you cannot find horse sausage in the US.

I would have a look at the link provided and decide if the item you want to bring into the US is on the list.

    Have a good trip,

    Dave

    Thanks! will check the list..

    URGENT :

    I just found this out.

    Per their site :

" Complete and submit your DS-160 after reviewing the nonimmigrant visa application process. You must submit your DS-160 application online prior to making an appointment for an interview at the U.S. Embassy/Consulate."

    Questions:

    1) Has anyone realized this?

    2) Has anyone completed this AFTER scheduling their appointment? Were there any issues during the interview?

History : Bebe and I are right in the middle of the change over from the DS0156 & DS-157 requirements to the DS-160 requirement.

Due to the medical being delayed an additional 60 days because of the spetum culture test, it pushed us over to the DS-160 requirement. I have confirmed with the Philippine Embassy we are required to do the DS-160 only.

my fiancé completed ds-160 online AFTER booking his interview appt, and had no problems at all.. so you'll be fine
yes.gif there won't be any problem as long as you complete ds-160 before going to your interview..

  11. Hi guys im back my wife just got her visa today at MOA and i just have a question regarding the passport is inside the pocket and how to avoid open the sealed envelop to get the passport inside? Because i read some post here that when they got the passport inside the envelop they accidentally open the sealed...

the plastic where the passport and some other papers are, can be opened but NOT the sealed brown envelope.. there is actually something written on one of the papers there saying you can open the plastic to get the passport.. then some instructions about cfo..

  12. ok so will this be correct...my current hourly wage x 160hrs (full time) = monthly income. then monthly income x 12 = annual salary?

how do i estimate personal property? does this include everything in my house from laptop to refridgerator?

also i have a 14k gold necklace weighs 116 grams can i use this?

when is the interview scheduled? my fiance had his interview just this week and i gave him an affidavit of support with my 2012 annual income supported by my 2012 ITR and W2.. I actually made another affidavit, just in case, with an estimate for my 2013 income since it's almost end of the year and since i had a difference of about 20-30k compared to 2012 due to changing jobs.. But they did not take that, instead, they used my 2012 income..

if you want proof of your annual income, you can always ask your employer to write you a certificate of employment stating your position, rate and annual salary.. that's what i did.. i made them put my base annual salary (not including the differentials, etc).. i even included recent paystubs since it'll show the year-to-date gross income.. But of course they did not get it LOL.. coz she said my 2012 income is enough.. so it depends on you.. but it wouldn't hurt.. just your effort LOL

is your income above poverty guidelines? if it is, then you don't need to put additional assets/property.. if not, then it would help if you put it or get a co-sponsor..
