    Hi HunNee,

Can you elaborate on the extension letter mishap.  It would be nice to know....

Mine was incorrectly labeled and sent to me with the address line being my name, hence it was undeliverable.  USPS caught the error and sent it back.  USCIS then sent out another mailing with the correct address then requested I apply for a change of address, which I did but hadn't moved.  Turns out the SUP I spoke with said there was no address on file......yah, right!

    Thanks!

Am really not sure what really happened -- because we never had an attorney to represent us.. We did not receive the "official notice" for the 18-month extension, instead, we just received a "courtesy copy", which means they sent the original to the attorney that "supposedly" represented us -- but we never did!!! Anyway, so i was worried there for a while, but after reading some comments from our June Filers who had the same story, i stopped worrying and eventually forgot about it until today when we received a text with our approval 😊

It was probably a mistake on their part, good thing you gave them your address.. It should be on file already, so you should not worry 😊 as long as their system works lol

Congratulations!  Is this CSC?  What is your NOA date?

    Thanks! :)

    Yes, CSC...

    NOA date 6-15-17

    WAC17258...

Received "courtesy copy" of 18-month extension letter...

received a text this morning that our case was approved today SEPT 24.. but when i logged in on my uscis account, it states that last SEPT 21, a new card was being produced!! 😊 I hope this is it!!!

Hi all! Congratulations to all of your approvals!!

does any of you received a courtesy letter instead of official letter (18-month extensión).

Have the ones with courtesy letter been approved already?!!

Im a little paranoid because I did received a courtesy letter.

Hi, we just got approved, and yes we received a courtesy letter for the 18-month extension.. I just hope and pray they would send the card to our address and not to whoever they sent our official letter before..

  4. WAC1725 (June 15, 2017 filer)... Finally received our 18-month extension letter! Yay!! BUT!!!! I noticed that it wasn’t the official or original notice, it looks like a copy, no background like the 1st one... And it says that the official notice was mailed to whoever is on my form G28... which by the way, we never filled out that form and we never had a representative or lawyer!! So, where the heck did they send my original then??? 😟 All i have is just a copy and i probably can’t use this?? 😔

As of June 11, 2018, petitioners who file Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, or Form I-829, Petition by Entrepreneur to Remove Conditions on Permanent Resident Status, will receive a Form I-797 receipt notice that can be presented with their Form I-551, Permanent Resident Card, as evidence of continued status for 18 months past the expiration date on their Permanent Resident Card.

We are making the change from 12 to 18 months because current processing times for Form I-751 and Form I-829 have increased over the past year.

Additionally, we will issue new Form I-797 receipt notices to eligible conditional permanent residents whose Form I-751 or I-829 was still pending as of June 11, 2018. Those Form I-797 receipt notices will also serve as evidence of continued status for 18 months past the expiration date on petitioner’s Permanent Resident Card.

As a reminder, conditional permanent residents who plan to be outside of the United States for a year or more should apply for a reentry permit by filing Form I-131, Application for Travel Document, before leaving the country. Read more information on our Green Card webpage.

To learn more, visit our website.

Hi, so does it mean that we will receive a new receipt notice that will serve as another extension letter??  since our case is still pending?? Or do i just get an infopass right away?? which by the way, can i still do the infopass  even if my extension letter expires June 15?? i totally forgot about it, maybe i was hoping to get results before the expiration..

I didn't know you could check on here but when I just did it says they've received my case three times, is everyone else's like this? Last time they say it was received was Feb 2018 which is a bit worrying considering it was sent in June of last year!screenshot.thumb.JPG.d187fcc0e38ddecb7de8fb05d09d1888.JPG

Mine too, i just checked.. same update x 2, one for Feb 24 and one for Feb 26, both saying the same thing.. i guess it was transferred to my local office.. but no notice received in the mail that it was transferred or whatsoever.. so, did y'all receive a notice in the mail that your case was transferred.. if so, then i guess i have to make a case inquiry since i haven't received mine??

  7. Hi, yesterday we drove 4 hours to the application support center for my husbands biometrics.. His schedule was at 8am, but we got there at 9am, coz we got lost, damn GPS Garmin!!! But, it was fine though, they took us in, and never questioned us why we were late.. 10 minutes, he was done!!   So funny, took us forever to get there, and he's done in 10 minutes!! and took us another 4 hours driving back home!! HAHAHA! :jest: now, the waiting starts.................................................

..My package has been sent today. But I can not track it!!!   USPS website says  "status not available"..  I went to the Post Office and they told me the package was gone, at 1.00 p.m.. I also was told the USPS system is kinda "down" today and doesn't reflect the real situation..

I don't know should I believe or not .. but I'm getting really worried..

don't worry, usps website tracking has been like that since yesterday.. same thing everytime i check.. lol.. just keep checking, it will be up in no time

If I was in your position I would call the Laguna Niguel post office and ask what's happening. You paid for a express priority service and they have not provided that service for you. If they still have not sent your package I would ask them to send it immediately and ask for compensation. If they say its been sent I would call USCIS see if they have it.

I'm sending express priority too and its going to cost about $50 so I expect it to be there the next day in perfect condition if not I'll be onto them :D

Yup, i will try to call today.. I actually spent $113  and today is like 3 days already, should have been 1 day only..

  11. Exactly what i thought, but when i added him up thru online, they just added him without asking for a drivers license, so i thought it was ok.. he is not driving anyway, coz he works at home and hates going out lol.. anyway, do u think uscis will question if i submit the auto insurance without his drivers license? or do i just not include it?

  12. Hi,

Quick question.. Maybe stupid but, my husband (conditional resident) and I both have our names listed on our state farm auto insurance.. but he has no drivers license yet, since he does not drive yet.. I had the car title changed now to both of us.. Would that be a problem if i submit the auto insurance with both our names on it, but no drivers license for my husband?? They might wonder or question?

    Thanks
