Can we schedule Medical now that we have case number. Even before it reaches the embassy. Reason is because Vika and her son are visiting her either in Kiev and would be simple to get this taken care of now while he is with her so he will not have to come back Ina couple weeks. Thanks for any insights.

NVC received our package yesterday (8-19-2013) and assigned a case number that i got this morning. Hopefully will ship out soon. Someone has a way of tracking it via dhl but I can't find that info. Anyone have that info and care to share it? Thanks.

Yes transferred June 21st and approved August 2nd. Is there anything you can do to speed the process up? We thought after the noa2 this crazy waiting game would be finally over.. How hard can it be to get these petitions in the mail?! Uuugh
I did a lot of research of timelines for TSC and the vast majority were shipped right around the 3 week mark. A few were shorter and a few were longer. We had NOA2 of July 25th and on Thursday August August 15th we were notified that our packet was sent to NVC the day before on August 14th. So for us the 3 week numbers played out almost perfectly. I also noticed they seem to ship once a week to NVC. Usually on Wednesday or Thursday. I would recommend waiting the 3 weeks then start making calls to USCIS in Texas. It is frustrating but just find the half full glass...you could still be sitting at VSC like some people seem to be. Best of luck and a word of advice, use this time to get everything you need for the interview process. It will keep you busy at least.

Got a question. Filling out a form, DS-156, for my fiancées son who is 6 years old. Under question 14 about national identification number, he does not have one. For Vika's 156 we used her internal ukraine passport number. What would we use for Kirill's, if nything at all? Any help would be appreciated.

Just got an email that our case was sent to NVC on August 14th. On to the next step. Glad to be out of Texas finally! Hope you all still waiting get your messages today too!!

Approved July 25th, nothing yet.
Called NVC almost everyday and they said up to 8 weeks..
I e-mailed USCIS Friday at least to find out when is going out to NVC.
Can't believe it takes so long to packet a file and put it in the mail...
I have the same exact dates as you. Transfered to TSC on 7/10 and noa2 on 7/25. Still waiting case number as well. I saw where Someone in TSC was approved 7/22 and got notification Friday that their case was sent to NVC. From what I can gather they ship once a week so we might have just made cutoff. If I don't hear anything by Friday I'm calling. Though that doesn't seem to do much good but it will
Make me feel a bit better. Lol
Best of luck and keep us updated.

Don't be surprised when NVC tells you to wait 8 weeks. NOA2 on July 9th and ours hasn't shipped yet. NVC quotes 8 week wait. DoS is unable to help. DoS suggested calling NVC again on Monday and then USCIS and contacting a senator.
I think the timeline should be updated to show that NVC is saying 8 weeks. It's maddening to hear over and over on here that it's a 1-2 week process when for quite a few of us it isn't.
It's crazy. We got noa2 on July 25th so I'm not expecting anything soon. I've been reading timelines of individuals who got shipped to NVC and some has noa2 dates as recent as July 22. I have an opinion, and it's only an opinion, that some caseworkers come in time to time to get files to process at work from home situations. I think the quick turnarounds (for TSC anyway) are employees at the TSC and the longer waiting ones are those who process cases from home. I know they have caseworkers in VSC who work from home so I assume they do at TSC as well.
Who knows the real reason. If the above statement about VSC no longer processing I-129f's then TSC better get its act together.
Here is to hope and prayers!

Has anyone noticed a pattern on when they ship cases to NVC? I'm assuming its a once a week shipment but who knows with them. TSC can sometimes be a black hole.
-
It seems to be about 10 to 16 days for most people to have their case shipped form TSC to NVC, that time coming up on that quick with an NOA2 date of 7-25-13. Waiting for that email daily. Hope rest of you are getting moved along quick!

Thanks Gary for the help. No, a letter is not sufficient. But since this was proven for employment couldn't the doctor recreate the vaccination record? If he knows it to be true...why not? That is essentially what a civil surgeon would do in the USA after you pay him hundreds of dollars for titre tests. The titre tests only prove what is not known. Vika knows how this works Brent. She knows what to do.
Another option...the hospital or clinic she has used should have this information. Alla and I took a walk to the local hospital where she had gone all her life,,,and the boys also,,,and they pulled out and made copies of all her vaccination records right then and there. They exist somewhere...where did she get them before? Doesn't the place she works for have them? Heck we had to give copies of those forms to schools here for Alla and Pasha, they woul dhave them if we needed another copy. I think Alla also had to give them to the local hospital since she works as an interpreter there, I know she had to have a TB test also. Someone has a copy of them.
Yes the hospital where she works had them but they aren't there for some reason. She has one local doctors office to try. But yes I agree, she knows what to do. We discussed this after I posted this and we talked about it she is going to talk to the doctor she works under. She was going to talk to him when she got off work in the morning.
Side note, American nurse have no idea what rest of the world is like. A friends wife was talking about working here in Baton Rouge and how she had 4 12 hour shifts and 8 patients one night. I didn't saw anything but Vika works 24 hour shifts. And at one point she was working 4 24 hour shifts a week when they were short handed. That was tough on an internet relationship! Oh and No overtime in Ukraine. It was funny when I asked if she would get OT she had no clue what I meant. And the patient load is crazy. Sometimes she will have 20 to 30 patients herself while also playing security to keep the drunks from wondering in to see family at 3:00am. Crazy!

I hope it goes quickly for you all...mine is still sitting there and has been since 7/3
Oh God, have you spoke to a Tier 2 to see what the holdup was? I can only assume that they send these all in bulk to NVC so yours has to be sitting somewhere. I have seen reports of people who have never been notified via email or text and never had the USCIS website update and the darn thing has been to NVC and off to the embassy already. I hope they figure out what is going on soon for you.
-
Ok here is our scenario. Vika is getting ready for her interview and I know she wont need vaccination records for that but she needs to bring them with her for AOS. She is a nurse and when she originally got the job she of course had to show all vaccinations were done. But somewhere along the line of starting her job until today the records were misplaced. Would a letter from one of the top doctors at the hospital testifying that she did receive the vaccinations prove to be sufficient? Or an other recommendations you all have would be appreciated. Thanks so much for your help.

Is it just me or does TSC seem to be speeding up on getting files to NVC? Maybe they worked out the bugs, or I am just being hopeful. It seems to be quicker for people approved starting around the middle of July. We shall see soon enough for all of us waiting I guess. We just got approved Thursday the 25th and they mailed us NOA2 the 26th per USCIS site. So its not like I expected to have it already, just not ready for another extended wait. Especially since we have about 90% of everything ready for the interview.
-
Congrats steph!!! Mine finally got shipped from TSC to NVC july 24. Maybe soon I have case number.
I had to wait 3 weeks before getting transferred to NVC from TSC. NOA2 July3. transfer to NVC july24
How do you find out when they ship it from TSC to NVC. Do you get an email or get notified? Or do you just keep checking the USCIS site? Right now we are in "post decision activity" and it says we have mailed you a notice. What type of wording change do I need to look for on the site? Thanks for your help. Being so much closer but still waiting is all part of the game I guess.

ok guys after the case number was not found or something kinda missing i got RFE on July 25 and still waiting the mailing dunno what missed. And what i heard from 3 friend of mine who got same RFE on K1, the USCIS ask for Letter of Intent and NEED to be notarized. And i was submit the letter without notarized. Still curious what missed ill post here soon after got mail
Just got our NOA2 approval on July 25th. Our letter of intent from Vika was scanned copy that I printed out. Mine was original and neither were notarized. I truly believe its whoever grabs your file. We got transferred to TSC on July 10th, and they are still newbies at the K1's so I think that might have something to do with it. After reading all over VJ I had her send me the original just in case we got an RFE but never needed it. I would go above and beyond the request. Best of luck on a quick RFE resolution!

Good to see you around again Slim! Good video.
What ever happened to the video of the Russian street fight, where they were heaving manhole covers at each other. I think I lost a little pee watching that one!
I think you posted that one.
Brent, you are in for the ride of your life, remember the magic words ... все для тебя, моя птичка.
Anything for you, my little bird!
I'm ready for the ride. Been ready since a couple weeks into talking to each other. Never thought I'd know that over the Internet. Who would have thought? Nice thing for Vika is that one of her best friends from Ukriane is married to one of my good friends. So she isnt alone here in Baton Rouge and has a great friend from childhood to show her the ropes. Side note, I think we owe our friends a nice dinner for setting us up a year and half ago. It's been the best thing that ever happened to me. Its funny how much i appreciate the differneces in Ukrainian women to American women. The contrasts are stark. I read somewhere that RUB women can be cold or as slim said hard. I view that as a strength and good thing for a relationship. Id rather deal with cold or hard than Bat Sh$t crazy any day of the week. Lol. But no matter what it's going to be a heck of an adventure. I have 3 kids (joint custody) and she has a son who is only one day older than my twins. So some weeks ill have three 6 year olds and a 4 year old. God help me!
-
I remember my buddy's first time meeting my wife. "Damn, dude. I thought you were joking when you talked about how hard she is."
Here's another good one that offers a unique insight into RUB stuff.
Ha! That's funny. We went to Mexico for our first meeting after Vikas and my
Good friend introduced us. Great time but when you go shopping there everyone bothers the heck out of you to buy their stuff. They will literally follow you down the street talking to you. Vika acted like she didn't speak English and i used my limited Russian to act like I didn't either. Made shopping a lot more enjoyable. Except for the one Mexican who knew russian, He busted me lol.
-
I would have still laughed at this if I wasn't getting married to a Ukrainian. But i know how true this is from my experiences with Vika and my time spent in Ukraine. RUB's are not easily shocked as someone told me and this is a great example. I honestly think it is part of what we all love about them. Hope you enjoy it too.

On its way to RUB forum. Didn't even think about that. Forgot about it until you said RUB's are not easily shocked.

Kiev has never been a difficult consulate to deal with. Very few people report any problems and then it was always for something very unusual.
They DO require that you have all your documentation. Do not expect to get away with not providing some needed document. They generally are very lenient in reviewing proof of relationship. For us they looked at four photos and nothing else. We had -0- questions asked at the interview. We were called up and told we were approved. More often some easy questions are asked..."How did you meet?" "Where does your fiancee work" or sometimes they ask biographical questions "What are your parents names?" to see if it is the same person that filled out the form...if you get the drift.
That said, I brought a lot of evidence of relationship and went to the interview myself. Better to be overgunned than trampled by an elephant.
They like to see one year's (most recent) tax return. Bring one.
A couple of sticking points to be aware of...be honest with your fiancee. If there is a marriage you "forgot" to mention to her and provided documents for (OH YES, it has happened!) they may ask things about your previous marriages. Did you meet her while you were separated? Before a divorce was final? Make sure you tell her. These things are not a problem IF she knows everything.
One example...One woman was asked "Did you know your fiance was still married when he started communicating with you?" Her answer. "Yes, so what? So was I." Approved! Another was asked the same question and her response was ...
They got AP and eventually approved. People in a legitimate relationship just need to be honest. I know enough about Ukrainian women that they will pretty much accept anything that went on before you met them...pretty tough to shock a Ukrainian woman...but they want you to be honest about it. After you are theirs....you are subject to "Death and Dismemberment"
Ukraine has no unusual traditions, morals, standards or other nonsense to get in the way of an approval like some MENA and far East countries.
Thanks Gary, we are open books so she knows everything about me. We did meet while I was still legally married but had been separated for over a year. Divorce in Louisiana is not a quick process when children are involved. But I didn't propose until after I was legally divorced, just didn't feel right.
I agree about Ukrainian women not being shocked easily. I think RUB's are like that in general actually. There is a great clip on Youtube form John Stewart show about how Russians are not shocked by anything. It is one of the funniest things I've seen. Ill insert a link, it is pretty darn funny, and Vika says "It's very true"
Enjoy

We got our NOA2 approval on 7/25/13, 140 days from the NOA1. Now from what I read its another decent wait time to get it from TSC to NVC. At least the longest wait portion of this is over. Looking forward to starting to make that call to NVC once I get an email that it left Texas. Thanks for this thread and all the information my fellow VJ'ers have shared with us. This would be an even more scary process without this site.
K1 stuck in AP at NVC!?

NVC received petition form TSC on 8/19, case number assigned 8/20 (when I called them) case still shows "at NVC" as of Friday so I called. Nice gentleman said we were in "additional processing". I've read the older threads on here, anyone have any new information on what this is about, or how long it takes to get case sent on to the embassy? Just want to get this process over with soon!
