Hi guys, December filer here
Havent posted on VJ for a long long time but decided to check what was going on today with my case status.
I've been checking on the normal mycasestatus with one of the receipt numbers that was on my biometric letter, since that was the only one that worked for a while, however while reading through the december filers thread I decided to give my NOA1 case number a go and it showed that
QuoteCase Was Received At My Local Office On February 26, 2018, we received your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence,
And then reading even more through the december filers thread I found the DHS page where you can check your case number, and low and behold, this page shows that my case was approved on May 23rd, and that my card was being produced on May 22nd. The weird part is that on the case history on the DHS page it says that "We corrected the your name for your case", however I never submitted any name change stuff, so I wonder what thats all about

Hi ther!
i know it’s been almost 4 years since you have posted on here but would you mind sharing how your interview went and if you were asked questions, maybe even granted the visa?
thank you so much!
Hi Jrey!
Its been a while since I've been on here since everything went well with interview and I'm currently living as a permanent resident in the states
You can read details about my interview in my review of the embassy where I had my interview, if you click on my timeline you can see it I think.
Anyway, no questions where asked regarding my previous "no" on the B-2 application, nothing was asked about my court records either.
Good luck!

Hi guys!
Just wanted to let you know I had my interview in Stockholm today and it got approved right away and went very well
Cant believe we all started this together over 1 year ago and now we are all almost done with it.
Best of luck to everyone for the rest of the journey.
I made a review of the interview/embassy (its under Norway, even though I had it in Sweden)

Hi Guys,
Was hoping for a bit of advice. My husband (the peitioner) is in the US right now and has been ill in hospital for the last week.
What is the process for expediting a case based on medical reasons? What is the criteria to even apply for an expedite? I am a nervous wreck being so far away from him when he is very sick.
My case was scanned in at the NVC on the 28th of November 2014 and I am also waiting the 60 days.
Is anyone else finding their case is completed before the 60 day mark?
Thanks again!
Our scan date was November 7th, and I logged in to CEAC on Friday and found AOS to be N/A. Now assuming this is a CC and that it was on January 2nd.
The CC came 36 business days after our scan date.

Happy new year everyone!!! The year is off to a great start for my husband's visa! His checklist was completed in less than 2 weeks and that's including weekends and Christmas, we couldnt believe it!!! And today we got his interview date for Feb 3rd, a month away!!! I cant believe we are FINALLY getting close to the finish line! Here's hoping for good news for everyone this month!
Congratulations!
I'm interviewing in Stockholm as well, hoping I get a interview date sometime next week
Good luck!

They're still open for one more hour, ya know
Dangit, we just missed them! Oh well, we've waited 12 months and 25 days, I guess we can hold on until Monday to confirm
Thanks, Saylin!

Checked the NVC this morning and our AOS-fee change to "N/A", IV-fee still shows as "Paid" but hoping its a CC!!
Will have my wife call Monday to confirm

Awaiting CC, crossing my fingers for no checklists, file date November 7th...

Great to see people getting case closed sooner then expected! Crossing my fingers for no checklists on our case and case closed any day now, scan date November 7th. Hang in there people!

Hi guys,
Just checking in, received our scan date: November 7th for both packages, 60 day wait begins!
Dear Sir/Madam,
The National Visa Center (NVC) received your documents on 07-NOV-14.
We are currently receiving an increased number of approved petitions from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. As a result, we are experiencing increased review times for documents received.
We expect it will be at least 60 days from the date we received your mail before we complete the review of your documents. We will notify you when we review your documents.
We are working to reduce these processing times and we appreciate your patience.

Hang in there guys! We haven't forgotten about you!
Come on NOA2

Yes, use the income that appears as "TOTAL INCOME" . . . that is what I used for my I-864EZ (by the way, just to reassure you, I do have my tax returns as well and i compared the total income on the IRS transcript to the line that says Total Income on the return and they matched).
Also, NVC prefers IRS transcripts so you are definitely on the right track.
One more thing: I assume that you filed form 1040 or 1040A to use total income. If you filed 1040EZ, then you have to use Adjusted Income. Just a reminder to use the # according to the IRS form you submitted.
Thanks for your reply jcruzazucar , she did indeed file 1040A. So I guess it should be total income in this case.

Hi,
My wife does not have her 1040's available and we'll be using tax-transcripts from the IRS for the I-864EZ form, and we are wondering which number from the IRS tax-transcript we need to use. Is it the line that says "Total Income" that needs to be entered as the income for the previous years ?
Here's a picture of the tax-transcript in question:
Its only the first line and the two last lines that has numbers in them, and they are all the same number, matching up with the W-2 for last year (Except IRS rounds up to nearest dollar)
We will also send the most recent W-2, 6 months of paystubs and employment letter. Been trying to get in touch with the NVC today, but its just busy... wonder what they could be busy with
Ps. I posted this as a separate topic (http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/520401-i-864ez-total-income-and-irs-transcript/ ), so this might be considered double posting, however, if mods want they can delete the other thread as this is a more appriopriate place to post this . Thanks!

Okay, we will call the NVC, thanks for the input

Hi,
Quick question regarding the I-864EZ form, my wife has her IRS Transcripts for the last 3 years and her most recent years W-2, she doesn't have her 1040A forms.
Here is a picture of the transcript:
Should we put what it says on the line "Total income" as her wages for 2013 and the previous years on the I-864EZ form ?
Both the top line "wages" and the two last lines show the same number by the way, and the W-2 matches (Except that the IRS transcripts round up).
We will submit the last 3 years of IRS Transcripts, paystubs and employment letter with the I-864EZ
Thanks for any input!

Hi,
We didn't have an A-number in the beneficiary name box on the NOA2, do we just write N/A in the A-number on the AOS I-864EZ then?
Thanks,
TJ

If you're sending tax transcripts, W2s aren't needed. W2s are only needed if the tax return is being sent (or, if the sponsor filed jointly and needs to show just their income).
But yes, besides that, that's all you should need for the AOS package.
Thanks Saylin!
Really appreciate all your hard work here in the Visajourney community!

I'm a bit late to the game here, but couldn't find much info about the AOS form I-864EZ, we just got approved (September 24th) and are finalizing our AOS and IV-package to get ready for this madness that is the NVC.
For those of you who used the I-864EZ form for the AOS:
We qualify to use it and plan on doing so, we've collected the IRS transcripts for the last 3 years (originals from IRS), and my wife said she can print her W-2's from the internal site at her workplace, we also plan on attaching last 6 months paystumps and a letter from the employer stating her current wages.
Is it okay to print the W-2's, or do they need to be signed from someone?
Is this enough documents to send for the AOS along with Bar coded sheet and cover letter..?
Thanks

So we have just had a phone conversation with our lawyer and we got some answers. After filing two service requests, our lawyer was notified on the 23rd Sept that we are undergoing additional security checks and that we cannot be notified when these will be undertaken.
Does anyone else have an insight into how long these take?
I was approved for an ESTA and am due to fly out on 8th October, but I am so nervous about it all. Gonna focus on positive energy and hope that everything will work out fine.
Hey DandF,
We also got notified that we were undergoing additional security checks. We called Tier2's several times to figure out what that really meant, and they told us it could mean several things; 1.Case not even looked at yet 2.Waiting for response from beneficiaries country 3. Just a delay (aka excuse)
So don't lose hope, we got that answer from July to early September. See my signature for more details.

We're here for you too guys! Cant wait for your approvals!
