  1. Honestly, with your dates, I'd expect you are not too long of a wait away. Hold on a little longer. With your NOA 1 date, my guess is you should have your NOA2 or RFE before the next USCIS website update (approximately the 15th of each month)

Now, don't etch this in stone or make specific plans or anything, but I think it's fair to believe that you are just a matter of weeks away and now would be a fair time for you to start believing that your time is sooner rather than later.

    Best of luck to you

Thank you for you note, I wish to take this positive, we rang USCIS 2 days ago and told us to wait another 60 days! We will hit 9 months by then and who knows we will wait more! this is so sad....:(

  2. Yes they have, and before DACA, they used to be the most productive at K-1. I really think that the DACA cases killed the CSC ability to get anything else done. I still believe that given the time to get back on track, now that they've moved DACA cases to Texas, California will step up it's game.

Do you think that we all have to wait for another 6 months or maybe 2 years?

  3. Seems it's our luck it's been a hard time this journey..It was so close I am in disbelief and so disappointed in him. He feel terrible as he should I can't help but be hard on him that was so foolish..I need a supernatural miracle Lord only you have the power..

devastated :crying: :crying: :crying: :crying: :crying: :crying: :crying: :crying: :crying: :crying:

Oh dear, don't cry too much, it will stress you more. Take it easy. Must be a reason why he admitted. God knows!

  4. it varies greatly from embassy to embassy. You could look at timelines of people who went through your embassy recently to get an idea, maybe.

Yes thanks, I just had a look at the timelines for my country, it seems that the waiting time between NOA-2 and interview is roughly between 3 or 5 months. Meaning the whole waiting time from NOA-1 to interview is roughly 1 year or maybe a bit more! gosh....

  5. HAPPY DANCE HAPPY DANCE HAPPY DANCE HAPPY DANCE HAPPY DANCE

After all the wait and AP, finally today the status didn't just update but changed to the following :

    ISSUED

Your visa has been printed. Depending on local procedures at the location where you interviewed, your visa will be mailed or available for pickup soon. If there are further questions, or if we need updated contact information, you will be contacted.

For more information, please visit TRAVEL.STATE.GOV.

    THANK YOU EVERYONE

Finally my fiancé can be with me )

    Can't stop dancing.. :P

    yay! good news!

  6. I'm just an ordinary person too. I got out of the Navy in 2002. This is simply a case of one person at my congressman's office making a difference. My approval yesterday, the one approval from last Friday and an RFE from last Friday all have that person to thank for what happened to our cases.

Thank you all for the congrats. It would be hard to do this without everyone here. Visajourney really is a great community and I hope everyone will have good news soon, even if you have to fight for it.

We are happy for you both, hopefully we hear something soon!

  7. Wow, we have the exact same dates.

Here is what I wrote to my congressman about a month ago. Real credit needs to go to the hard work of his staff.

    Dear Congressman McClintock,

I’m writing you today about the California Service Center of the USCIS and their priority of handling cases. I currently have a fiancé visa waiting for review. It has been pending review for over 5 and a half months now and at the current rate will be many more until it is even looked at. I realize there is a huge backlog of cases due to the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, but this should not mean that all other cases are neglected. These people waiting for their cases are already in the USA and not separated from their loved ones, while I’m kept apart from mine. I feel I’m being punished for doing the immigration process the legal and proper way. There is also the financial impact on my family and your district. I’m supporting my fiancé, so that means thousands of dollars is not being spent locally. I can’t support local businesses, local jobs and there is also a loss of tax revenue, because I must support my family no matter where they are.

Another financial aspect of this is the revenue from fees of the deferred action cases. There are currently over 400,000 cases, each paying $435. Where did that $174,000,000 dollars go? The USCIS needs more staff to do their jobs. Money should be directed to the USCIS and used to get unemployed Americans back to work and relieve the backlog at the USCIS.

This isn’t the first time I have been separated from my family. I spent 6 years in the US Navy, including 2 deployments overseas. I gave up a portion of my life to help out our great nation, now I’d like to see that same respect in return.

As a registered voter I have been a supporter of your policies for many years and believe in the direction you are taking our nation. I thank you for all you have done and hope you can assist me in getting a service request with the USCIS.

    Sincerely,

    Kevin

I guess working in the US navy helps a lot but I guess not for those who are 'ordinary' ppl....

Thanks for sharing this letter with people! it is emational and reasonable  exactly you mentioned DATA cases as what we are considering.

but also, you were an navy man, so somehow it should help you too.

The more i think, the more horrible i feel about our case, you are: Navy man/ young couple ( no red flag)/comunication with congressman/ even though, 7 months only to get NOA2!!!!!!

I'm really mad cause i'm at a work reason country but workless since two months ago, waiting here for this K1 :crying:

    I agree!

  8. On March 18, 2013, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283

    :dance::dance:

Why did I get approved and many from July and August are still waiting? I contacted my congressman and they were willing to keep contacting them over the past few weeks including talking to supervisors there. Without their help I'm sure I'd still be waiting. So, go do whatever you can to get the process moving for you, it CAN help.

no help at our side...we are still waiting....

  9. been 268 days from NOA1 and I can't see even a tiny light from the NOA2. why we have to suffer from other people's fault and lack of considerations of our feelings? I pray for this NOA2 everyday but why I cant have it, seems that the more i pray, the more it gets far from me. Is it because DACA's filer is praying more than me? Why those people who filed after me got the approval first, it isnt fair right? I'm happy for them of course but why cant i be happy for ME? grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!! :crying:

We understand the frustrations and we are still waiting....:(

  10. You do know you can visit now, and stay a few weeks/ months with your fiance? That may make the wait more bearable and is a better option than loosing all the time you've waited already and loose the filing fees to get married and start all over- there is no switching to a K3/ CR-1 spousal visa, you would need to start from scratch.

Are u sure it is okay for me to visit my fiance in America while we are waiting for the NOA-2 or for the visa?

We filed for the K1 petition in early August 2012 ... 220 days ago today. There is no guarantee that we will get a response, possibly for months still... we can hope for 'any day' but realistically we have been saying that since January.

My question is... can we legitimately and legally move from a K1 to K3 process? We simply want to get on with our lives... and be married. Can I in any way travel to the States and marry.. stay and leave for any visa processes required in my off shore country? At least waiting for the petition process being together seems more manageable... We want it to be legal and up front though. If it's not legal.. we would not consider doing it.

A complication is that my boss at work is going for a long holiday in a few months.. and I don't want to resign while he's away and leave work in the lurch so to speak. It would be so much more convenient to have a replacement on board before he goes away. I am feeling torn.

    Any input appreciated...

I have the same feelings too, the waiting time is so stressful...:(

  11. I'm not disagreeing that filers from California are going to CSC. Just that the numbers you quoted are not the real numbers going to the service centers. Each state doesn't have their own service center, there are only 4 service centers and I don't think TSC was originally accepting DACA cases. So, the real number for CSC is probably closer to 250,000. The question now is will CSC transfer existing cases TSC, just stop accepting them or both. Either way the quicker CSC handles the DACA backlog the sooner they will start on K1's.

So we are all assuming things then....nothing tells us the main reason of the delay really. We've been waiting for 7 months now and we believe our file is still sitting somewhere on the table collecting dust!

  12. SO CASE TRANSFERS BETWEEN CSC AND TSC WILL INCREASE PROCESSING TIME ON OTHER PETITIONS @ CSC? HELL F-ING "NO"

I've been telling everyone that major issue on slow processing time at all service centers are due to DACA, some believed, stay skeptical and felt hopeless. It is fact that DACA is main cause of delay at CSC because of intake of these DACA cases and you can see it on here True DACA (March) Data

Recent case transfers from CSC to TSC gave us hope that CSC will speed up on other petitions including K-1. Well, it is only apply to DACA cases that are currently backed up at CSC to balance # of DACA cases between CSC and TSC. Correct, balance between #1 DACA intake service center CSC (128,000 cases) and #2 DACA intake service center TSC (73,258 cases) and both service center are STILL accepting incoming DACA applications. These case transfers are done to increase processing time only for DACA.

This means I have to spend another Christmas in Sweden....:(

  13. Skim,

When we were at the point you were (5.5 months), that is when I started to have a freakout. But then I calmed down as I slowly realized we were going to pass Month 6 and Month 7. Chances are you'll be waiting for another few months. Most people are, especially at CSC. I've seen a few people get approved from September, but most people from late July and all of August haven't been approved yet. CSC froze for essentially 3 months and has barely shown signs of life.

Today is 220 for us. Last year at this time, CSC folks were getting approved at around 100 days. I would consider myself lucky if we heard back this month.

It's infuriating, but there's nothing we can do about it. We just have to wait.

Same thoughts and feelings like you...We are so tired of waiting...

  14. Submitted 9/14/12 to California Processing Center

    Received Packet 9/20/12

    Decision ?

It is now past 5 1/2 month mark and still no answer. I tried calling multiple times but the only feedback from the Customer Service Agent is just 'wait'. According to the Agent, processing times shows that they are still working on the file from 7/18/12. That date has not changed for a long time. I am just getting very frustrated with the delay and the lack of attention.

Anyone here suffering from the same consequences? It seems like many were approved earlier than 5 months reading from the posts. We are just getting very anxious.

We are still waiting for the NOA-2 ......
