So it appears that there has been 6 approvals in the last 2 days at CSC...it's great getting a little action from CSC finally....but out of the 6 approvals 2 were November filers and 3 were December filers....####### is going on CSC??? what happened to july/august/September/October??? it really blows my mind and makes me furious that Ive been waiting since August 20th and they're pulling December approvals out of their ####...how does that happen? does anybody have any idea as to how they would manage this? a method to their madness perhaps?
We are pretty upset about this news too!

Well, Well, Well!!! It has taken some time, and three phone calls to CSC. But, I finally got a agent that was willing to help me understand the extended processing times NOW for K1 Visa applications. I was informed that in the past,...CSC would process about 10K applications each month. This was a average of cource. Today, they are processing a average of 25K applications each month now. This increase is due to the current need/desire to make Illegial Immigrants, Legal citizens of the USA. I was informed that CSC is now currently as of 9 April working cases with a NOA1 date of July/2012. I have a NOA1 date of Oct/2012, I was informed to expect a wait of up to 3 months before my case would be worked((( Lovely,...just Lovely!!! I am not pleased with the information that I recieved today, but at least I have a much better understanding of what is causeing the much slower K1 Visa processing times, compared to months past of 2011/2012. May God help us in some way and show us much needed mercy!!
Well, we got the same response too! so this is not a great news!

CSC approved 4 yesterday which is encouraging but three of the four filers were from December, wow talk about out of order that is extreme!
It is good to see signs of life from CSC though!!
What about August filers?
-
Wow!! Outstanding news for you!! I am an October filer at CSC. It's crazy how they're randomly picking through the piles at CSC. Hopefully soon for me and everyone else waiting!!
We are August filer at CSC and I agree that it's crazy and unfair sometimes I think that those later filers get approval faster! Anyways, Congrats! and good luck in your journey!

How long from people's experiences has your SSN normally taken to arrive? I visited our local office on the 20th March and still nothing! I am now married so when it does arrive I will need to change it but I can't do anything without it
I can't even go on base (husband is in the Air Force) as even though I'm a spouse now I need a SSN.
Any help would be appreciated.
What did you do to get your NOA-2 so quickly? we are now on the 236th day and waiting!
-
We filled on September 12th and was told last week we had at least another 56 days to wait ! we thought we,d timed it right to get married on August 25th which is our anniversary ...will be lucky if i get there for Christmas ! ! ! ! This process is so depressing
236 days and still waiting, I might spend my 2nd christmas in Sweden!!!

Ok so im just curious to kno how everyone here has managed to get by and to cope with the long waiting process of the K-1/K-3 visa? Waiting for our loved ones to be reunified is a hard task... If u wanna share how u and ur fiance/spouse cope, ur experiences with the long wait people may benefit from our stories! And it will bring a little positivity to a negative time..
hope to see alot of sharing!!

I doubt you are going to be able to do a service request...I filed July 26 at CSC and it won't let me. They say they are currently processing July 18 so "we aren't outside of normal processing time." Browse the other recent posts related to CSC and July filers and you will see what is going on and what you can expect.
We wonder how many July 18th filers out there besides from this website.

I chose to email our form letter to the Ombudsman office and I sent a personal letter to the Director. I sent the email out Sunday and received a response this morning. I would like to copy the exact response here but there was a big warning at the bottom of the email response that said I need to get permission to forward the email.
Here is the content of the email:
The CSC processing time has slipped due to competeing agency priorities. CSC is currently shifting resources to address the I-129F. As resources are assigned the CSC expects the processing time for the I-129F to be reduced.
Guys,
Keep up the emails, keep up the letters, keep on writting your senators and congressmen. We are faced with a huge political battle and we are "David" in this battle.. Pressure,,Pressure,,Pressure is the only mechanism that will help us prevail. I beleive CSC is feeling that pressure now.
yep, we received the same response....

Greetings,
I am on hold waiting for a tier 2 rep at USCIS. I asked the rep if it was true files were destroyed, and he said "Some files were, where did you learn that information" as if I wasn't supposed to know.
How did you answer to that question?

After 8 months in AP our visa status was finally changed to ISSUED! My fiance's visa will be ready this week! I almost had a heart attack. I called my fiance' right away crying. I really thought I was dreaming:) I want to say thank you to visajourney.com and all of its members. I could not have done this without the resources and feedback that you all provided. Good luck to everyone on their visa journey. <3
good news!

i at least hope they have a decency of contacting all the people affected or emailing them as soon as possible if it was those kinds of files that were damaged, instead of leaving us waiting with no idea of whats going on, and then months from now informing us that we have to start over because they have lost our papers.
If we have to re-send our papers again, we will not pay any fee this time, so crazy!

Why would visa petitions be kept anywhere that they could be destroyed by water? It makes absolutely no sense to me. There is not one file in my office building that could be destroyed by water from a plumbing issue. Ridiculous.

So I requested help from my congressman a few weeks ago to inquire about my case. Today the aide called me with an update.
Apparently the USCIS congressional liason at CSC told him that 48,000 files were damaged when the pipe broke a couple of weeks ago. (Remember CSC was closed for two days for a plumbing problem??) They are saying that my case, July 26, was included in that pile. However, they haven't reviewed my file to see if it was damaged and if I will need to send in everything again or not. According to my congressman's aide, that is what is causing a delay now. When I asked if I needed to send a copy of my entire I-129f, he said no, wait until CSC gets to my case.
So I asked him, "Ok, that is the reason they are giving for the delay now What about before that? What was causing the delay before two weeks ago?" The aide got kind of huffy with me and said, "Well I'm sorry you don't like my answer but that is what CSC said." He didn't give me an answer.
He said that they are currently processing July 18. I told him that they have been quoting that for four months now, though they are clearly not on that date. I told him how I have been to many websites and monitored other people's cases, and there are a good chunk of people in August that have been approved. He said, "If you choose to believe that, that is fine. But I believe CSC." I said, "Ok, so thousands of individual people are all lying about their individual cases?" Again he said that he was choosing to believe CSC because he talked to the liason and blah blah blah. I asked if he knew when they expected to move passed the July 18 date. He said that was not a question he had asked.
Has anyone else heard anything like this? At first I was devastated to hear that my file was possibly destroyed and about the delay it would cause having to send everything in again. However, this is starting to sound like a BS excuse for CSC to buy some time considering they haven't made an official announcement.
I think CSC is playing games!!

So this means they keep papers and files in the toilets! This is crazy!

Hello good ppl out there, we made a phone call to CSC yesterday and asked again about our case, this time we got to a 2nd tier person who was a lady and she said that our case is still under background checks! How long does this have to take?? Are they hiring FBI, CSI and Criminal Minds to check on us??? oh my god, this is taking too long already. I don't think the lady knows what's going on with our case, I think she just reads what is on the computer screen! and she added, 'Oh, I don't see any problems with your case and we will call you back in 26 days' This is so crazy!
Any ideas ppl?

I'm not sure that would be considered extreme financial burden for the petitioner.
I thought Haiti was auto-expedite, anyway. Or has that expired?
I thought so too!
Your petition will probably be approved within 5 weeks, you are Haitian.
and we still have to wait, hitting 8 months pretty soon.....

July 20th filer here and still waiting. I've stopped calling the USCIS. Their call centers are staffed with high school drop outs who do nothing more than read off of a script. "Sorry, I can't do that. The computer won't let me." It's depressing to think that these guys are making a living for what is essentially reciting a script.

I have waited a very long time for this and my day has finally come, APPROVED. Finally I can move forward and be with my fiance again.
Wow! that was a very long wait! Congrats!!!

We can't even ask CSC any questions about why it is so slow (even though we know it is the DACA applications mainly) My fiance tried and they hung up on him when he asked. It's pretty disgusting realy.
We rang today too, and the man couldn't give any answers to why it is taking so long. We call every week now and they are not so helpful at all. They sure to take our money pretty fast and then they are so good to leave us in the dark!

It's really hard..My life is stagnant for a moment..I graduated my Nursing degree last year, passed our local board exam but i did not start looking for a job here since i was thinking that NOA2 will arrive any minute..It's been a year now with my unproductive life..nothing to do but sit and wait until we received the RFE..
I agree, unproductive life for me as well for almost 2 years! sigh...

If that doesn't help, another way is to get the police report from the Police Headquarters.
Royal Brunei Police Force Headquarters
Jalan Gadong BE1710
Brunei Darussalam
Telephone: 673-2-423901
Fax: 673-2-426290
The website is in Malay language unfortunately.

Has anyone needed a Brunei Police Record lately? There seems to be some confusion on how to get one through the embassy (in our case the Brunei Embassy in Manila)-their embassy has no website and information is virtually non-existent. One version says no letter from the requesting embassy and one says yes you need a letter from the requesting embassy. I would like to get ours as early as possible and not have to wait on a routine matter later in the process. Thanks RobertDski
Try to contact the ambassador in Brunei.
Let see if that helps.

We agree with you and we are so upset about this too!
