  1. Hello :)

I´m so glad I finally found this community because I feel I will have a lot to vent in the future and to read the stories of others who are on their way to US.

I´m Veronica from Sweden and I will marry my boyfriend Kyle who lives in Phoenix. I could never have dreamt on finding a american guy but sometimes love hits no matter what the distance is B-)

We discussed living in Sweden but I felt I didnt want to make him leave everything, he has more to leave than I have.

    So here we are....

I have a question though. I have read on so many sites but each site seems to say different things. I wonder what I need to bring from Sweden (paperwise) to be allowed to get married to a american? Some say I only need passport (my ex as well who was married to a american woman), some say birthcertificate and a paper showing there are no obstacles from here for me to be able to get married. Does any of you know? Thank you in advance and I hope to see you around here on the community :) / Veronica

    Hello,

Has your boyfriend sent in the I-129F form?

  2. Trying to figure out what I can do after we got our Noa2...

1: Anything I can start preparing? Or I need to wait for embassy to send me information?

2: Do anyone know how long it usually take from noa2 to interview ?

3: Do anyone know what package 3 contains?

4: For how long is the police records valid? Can I order it now or better to wait?

    Sorry for all the questions:)

    Hello,

    Answers to your questions:

1.Wait for embassy but if it has gone more than 2 weeks, call them.

    2. doesn't take more than a month, look at my timeline.

    3. it's a loooong list of things you have to prepare, not so difficult.

    4. you better get it now, or I hope you have it now. it is valid for a year.

Ask more if you need help!

    Lycka till!

  3.

    @Lillen Faith: Congratulations!!!

Did you schedule your appointment without the Notice of Eligibility from the embassy? How long did it take you to finally call the embassy from the date that your petition has been approved or from the date that you received a letter from NVC?

What did you asked? Could you please share your experience? It will be very helpful.

    Thank you very much!

    Hello,

No, I didn't schedule my interview, the Embassy did. As soon as I got the letter from the Embassy, I followed all the instructions there and then sent away all the forms and then I got the notice by email about my interview date.

  4. Congrats to you! Our interview is on June 27th smile.png

Did you schedule the medical yet? If so, how soon before the interview did you schedule? We will be getting the medical in Sweden.

Medical all done 2 weeks ago, so I'm all set to go! As soon as I got the letter from the Embassy instructing me what to do, I made an appointment with the doctor straight away.

  5. Hi ...have u received a notice from the embassy that u are eligible to set an appointment??? Im just getting deppresed.... Im still waiting for the notice it's almost 2weeks now...

I rang them and also sent an email asking them about my interview date and they set the appointment time for me. Give them a ring. Good luck!

  6. No thats not true you have to print them out and have them ready at the embassy

The consulate in Stockolm sent all the forms to me! :)

IT LOOKS LIKE MOST OF THESE FORMS DS156K, DS230 PART I AND II ARE 2 PAGES. DO I HAVEW TO PRINT IT SEPARATELEY OR IN ONE PAGE BACK AND FRONT?

    THANK YOU

They practise 'Paper Reduction Act' and you can see it on the forms, so print them out both sides if you wish to....but I received all the forms from the Consulate! :) Good Luck!

  7. wooo hoo, thank you Jesus for this blessing, today we got an email stating that our case is completed and they scheduled an interview date for us as well, we're so happy...... dancin5hr.gifdancin5hr.gifdancin5hr.gifdancin5hr.gif

    Congrats!

I have one question here. I got a package yesterday from the Embassy and I have to fill out DS-230, DS 156 and DS-156K. Do I need to attach my picture there or should I not. The letter was not clear about it. It says: "All the collected documents are to be presented at the final interview." And I got a checklist and photographs is listed there. So I assume that I bring the photos only at the interview and I just send away the forms without the pics. Shed some light please, Thanks.

  8. With the slew of recent approvals, has there been anyone who has received their NVC case number yet? I was approved about a week ago. Should I start calling them, maybe this Friday or so?

    I'm excited beyond belief!!

We didn't get any NVC case number but we got a new case number when the file was delivered to my home country sweden.

  9. Oops! Something went wrong when I posted the topic title, haha.

OUR VISA APPLICATION FINALLY GOT APPROVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!! biggrin.png

"On April 29, 2013, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)."

(After 6 months, 3 weeks and 3 days!)

Every morning I used to check our case status and this morning I found out it got approved.

I'm so happy that I'm crying tears of joy and my hands are shaking while typing this.

Good luck to everyone still waiting for their NOA2, my thoughts will be with you.

    Congrats!

  10. Hi VJ family. My fiancé received USCIS e-mail informing us that our NOA2 is approved on March 16, 2013. It took 8 months and 3 weeks and yes quite a very long time but we never lose hope.

We are so happy and this is a good sign that CSC is getting back on track and hopefully everyone will get their NOA2 soon. You are all in my prayers Dearies.

Waiting and getting anxious was never easy but always remember, good things happen in God's time. Keep up the faith and God bless us all! :star::):star:

By the way, pls give me a link on what we do for the next step. I just wanna make sure we get everything correct. Thank you so much.

Yes! we got ours on april 12th!

  11. July 20th 2012 filer here and I've heard nothing. I've written to both senators and congressman and I'm being repeated the same scripts. My money-grubbing lawyer has proven to be useless. December filers are being approved left and right. My fiancée and I are growing tired and tired of this situation every single day, and it's hurting our relationship. What else can be done? Can any legal action be taken on my part? I've hit a wall and feel totally helpless and hopeless.

We share your pain too and we are still waiting :(

  12. Okay, i spoke with a friend of a friend of a friend who works for the California Service Center. Please consider the multiple degrees of separation here. I didn't like the answers i received and neither will you. She said the backlog is horrendous & the pile of K-1 Visa apps are stacked on the floor, creating a near fire hazard. Reason? They have been asked to drop everything & work on the H1B apps. For the first time ever, USCIS met the 65K cap in the first week of its filing period & they have a crazy internal deadline to get these H1B's approved. For those of you that are familiar with it, there was some glitch in the "lottery" & thus trying to wrap their heads around it.

She said "don't kill the messenger, we're all doing our best." Just wanted to pass this a long, even though it doesn't appease nor alter our particular situation.

    what is this H1B ?
