First time ever for them

I loved that my first green card said I was a resident alien.  
 
I’d show it to my kids and their friends and regale them with tails of my upbringing from another planet. I told them I was part of forward invasion force.  Their friends would return home to have nightmares.   
 
Seriously though, the term alien is from Latin like much of English (and thus, ironically it was probably due to an alien invasion of England in 1066 that the term made it into the lexicon). 
 
I will not be signing this petition.  It is just. a word. Get over it.  There are bigger problems like the backlog of immigration petitions that have a current priority date or that aliens have a hassle getting an SSN. 
 
Proud to have been a legal resident alien.  

I'm still glad I got my wife's GC a few years back, no regrets.  I'd like to see the applicant return to their home country to consular process just like I did with my spouse.  But that was then, this is now.
 
LOL, I can only imagine the backlog of these cases to be processed by the USCIS if this immigration policy does pass.

I know, so glad they re-opened it too.  Made things so much easier too when we needed to renew my wife's passport and do our kids report of birth in the same trip earlier this year
.  I was looking at San Fran for Red.  The out reach we had to go to the first time was definitely more time consuming compared to being able to make an appointment.  

They will send a letter with what they are looking for on the RFE.
I got the NOA2 eight days after they received my RFE reply.

Since the wording was fiancee they aren't married yet.
