  1. Hmm..

My two cents (although saylin would probably answer this better).

Your 2013 income is different from your current income.

Yes this is because her job started in September

It seems to me that she does have stable current income (paystubs and offer letter).

So you are good as far as Part 6 -> Section 5 is concerned -- on the i-864

    Yes Correct

But because come April 16, her 2013 income will become "income from last taxable year" -- that income must exceed $ 19500 or so, for a household size of 2

Yes we are household of only 2

    Your 2013 income - Part 6 -> Section 13 a will be $ 11000 -- on the i-864.

    That maybe a problem.

What I guess is they will also look at current income. What makes me think this is they have mentioned in instruction for I-864 that you can send other documents that can reflect your current income. So. But yes you are correct. There are ifs and buts here.... smile.png

Some consulates are not ok with that.

I know that Delhi, which scrutinizes everything to the most possible extent may not like this at all.

    Mine is Mumbai.

What did she make in 2012 and 2011 ?

if it exceeds the threshold for your household size, that can definitely help your case.

She can state that income on Part 6 -> Section 13 b and Section 13 c

    Unemployed till Sep 2013

You should STRONGLY consider getting a joint sponsor and having that form filled out and ready just in case you get some rude jerk who won't work with ya

Ya true. Lets see what Saylin has to say on this.

    Thanks for your inputs

  2. Hello Saylin,

    Regarding AOS

My wife got permanent Job on SEP 2013 with an annual pay of $ 50,000. Hence 2013 tax transcripts show annual income of 11000 only (obviously pay accounted is SEP 2013 to DEC 2013). However, she has letter from employer clearly indicating her income of $ 50K. Also we will be sending her pay stubs from SEP 2013 till date (6 months).

Will this be fine?. I was afraid as her latest 2013 tax transcript shows $11000 as annual income. But this is obvious.

    Please guide

  3. Hello Saylin,

    I have a small doubt.

I am the beneficiary and am filling DS-260 but I am little confused.

In my Birth certificate name of my father is SHAH Jayesh Piyushbhai (SURNAME---Fathers name--Grandfathers name) and in my passport my fathers name is SHAH Jayesh Piyushlal. A minor error in Grandfathers name. Actually both are correct as suffix "LAL" and "BHAI" are used interchangeably in India for males as a gratitude.

I will be filling out DS-260 with the name that appears in Birth Certificate.

I think not all country passports mention fathers name right....? and the true document for fathers name evidence is birth certificate. Right

    Is this an issue???

  4. As far as I know, Indian municipalities don't issue ORIGINAL birth certificates. I believe they give original when child is born, and there after they issue certified copies. Certified copies issued from indian municipality are accepted to submit. Does she know anyone in India who lives in same municipality/city she was born in? Getting certified copy from there doesnt take more than few mins as long as someone can go there and mail to her.

    This is what Happens.

There is a register kept by all municipalities in India where the birth is registered and they give a unique number to each birth

That's it... This is the original record in the register

Now u cannot send Visa people the register

So they issue a certificate stating that this person was born on so and so date and his/her registration number is xxxx and this is taken from original record (i.e register) with a sign and stamp on certificate

This certificate is valid for US VISA

  6. Saylin received this check list today. What does mean ? We have sent I-864 form along with AOS pack. Is it false check list? or what kind of paper we have to submit again ?

Did you subit original Birth and marriage certificate???

  7. Yeaa..

the NVC is technically the "document collection" station for the IV interview.

    ranting33va.gifranting33va.gifranting33va.gif

Such a time waste. We can always carry them with interview.. Why do they have an additional step of NVC... #######

It is, always a good idea to obtain two CERTIFIED copies of the following - and send only ONE OF EACH to the NVC

    - birth cert

    - marriage cert

    - police cert

What do u mean by CERTIFIED COPIES???? for India particularly...

Is it the notary certified documents?

In the unlikely (but possible) event that any of these doesnt get delivered by DHL or something gets misplaced, you can give the other certified/original copy to the officer at the IV interview.

Also NVC has an e-submission thing. Does that apply for our case?

  8. Its not march/holi yet.

And you have bhaang in your system.

Bhang is the option in this uncertain environment brother.... idea9dv.gif idea9dv.gif

It doesn't matter what the timestamp on the "touch" is, all that matters is the transfer service center that has been assigned to you.

Its stated on the piece of snail mail sent to you (that will get to your USC spouse in about 5 days).

Did u get yr letter ?/called tier 2 and asked ? Congrats for your CSC dancin5hr.gifdancin5hr.gif

You will get an approval from there between 7-60 days - and based on trends for August, we know its either going to be CSC or TSC.

Luckily for us, they are pushing TSC to adjudicate faster.

How did you know this? As such no trasnfers to TSC are approved....Then

    fingers crossed....

    Entire body is crossed brother...

  9. My case was transfrd on FEB 03

    But now it says below

"On February 5, 2014, we transferred your I130, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN, to your local USCIS Office for further processing. The new office has jurisdiction over your case and will send you a decision as soon as processing is complete or you will be notified if further information or action is needed. If you move, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address."

    Why Why Why????
