Have you never moved before? It's the same "list" as if you moved down the street.
-
Yes, more clarification is needed.
-
Neither of your questions will be an issue at all.
-
Yup, you have way more than you need.

I entered on a work visa with my car and didn't realize I had to import it until I was already in the US. I had to get the compliance letter from Canada and had to go, not to the border, but to a POE (closest one was LAX), to import it, before i could register it. I owned the car thoguh, so can't help with the financed car question.
-
So question - what happens if you still have a loan that you can't possibly pay off before crossing the border? Does that mean I can't take my car?
You can take it, but you can't import it, so you won't be able to register it, so, short answer is no.

No you don't need separate ones from the cities you've lived. I recommend the commissionaires: easy, cheap, fast. Google it for Toronto.(and you only need the "fingerprint version" if you have a criminal record.

you may not need a smog check, depending on where you will be living in CA. (urban vs. rural).

If my employer Spencers me can I apply while I'm on my TN visa?
Thanks
Your employer may be able to petition for you under another visa/status-- not TN-- if the proper criteria is met.
-
Your Employer can petition you for a GC.
Not from TN. You will have to switch to another status that allows dual intent (like H-1B). TN does not. It's meant for temporary stays and then returning to your home country.
-
you can renew the TN indefinitely, I believe, but you can't adjust status to LPR (green card), unless you marry a US citizen.

It's a quick are you a boy or girl check, that's it. There is no touching or probing. It's a simple, yes you have a ####### and testicles or no you don't.
BTW I think that word is a scientific word for the male genitalia and should NOT be banned.
interesting that they still do this now that same sex marriage is legal.

1. no you don't need it the police check, but it wouldn't hurt to bring your citizenship card.
2. yes, correct.
3. You should bring your fiance's original (well, certifed copy) of his long form birth certificate, as well as yours, to the interview. You've sent them photocopies with the application, but now they want to see the original for verification (and they'll give it back to you at the interview).
4.no, you don't need other evidence.

Very interested in this topic as we are in the same boat (living 150 miles apart) and ROC is coming up for me in a few months. We are older, and set in our careers, and our careers cannot happen in the same city, so...we spend weekends together. For the same reasons, we are not very financially commingled either, so looking around for things to show our bonafides.

Upack is not for 5 boxes. Would cost a fortune.
-
They make mistakes all the time.

Shipsmart is for small moves that don't include funiture. That's what I used from Vancouver to California. And you just have to be as specific as you were in your post: box 1: knick knacks, box 2: personal items, etc, and then just give a value to the whole box.
-
Where are the originals?
-
You did not mention ever getting married, which is something you'll have to do before applying for the green card.
-
Yes, I agree you should definitely just adjust status now, even if you have to borrow the money. Even if she may miss some important occasion at home by waiting longer to visit, it is absolutely worth it, rather than being apart for so long during the CR1 route. (Oh, the things my spouse and I would have done differently if we'd known that this would have been an option for us!)
-
No particular order.
-
Yes, there are forms to fill out to list your belongings. And more forms (and documents to gather) if you're importing your car, too.

Doubtful that anyone would see as bona fide a marriage where one partner cheats within the first 3 months.
Need new passport but can't surrender current one due to needing extension stamp

I would just send the old passport and not worry about it. It would only be a couple weeks you'd be undocumented.
