The fee is $930 only (no biometrics fee required) for applicants under 14 years who submits Form I-485 independent from other family members.

The fee for a child under the age fourteen years will be $600 when submitted concurrently for adjudication with the application of a parent under sections 201(B)(A)(i), 203(a)(2)

Since you already filed .... $930

  3. Answers to your Questions:

    1. Petitioners who live in the following states or territories should file their Form I-751 with the California Service Center (CSC): Alaska, American Samoa, Arizona, California, Colorado, Guam, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, Wisconsin, and Wyoming. The mailing address for CSC is:

    P.O. Box10751

    Laguna Niguel, California 92607-0751

    2. It is better to separate the checks application fee and biometrics

    3. I would suggest to have a cover letter sample below:

  4. Did you apply for citizenship yet? Do you know if K2 needs to apply separately?

I'm going to my N-400 interview in a couple days, but my I-751 is still pending. I read somewhere that sometimes they will do theboth interview together, the N-400 and I-751. Since my I-751 is still pending I'm planning of taking everyhing with me to the interview (marriage proof and all the documents needed). My question is, does the spouse really need to be there at the interview? I never got a letter stating that I need to bring my spouse. The reason why I'm asking this is because my husband is out of the country.

Is anyone here could please share their interview at the Santa Ana office. Were they nice? And what are the questions they ask?

    Thank you!

Hi, I just had my N400 Interview a week or so ago and I also had my I751 pending. About a week prior to my interview I received a notification requesting that my husband be at the interview as well. It claimed that it was necessary due to the pending I751. Both applications were approved then. I am not sure if this is usually the case with every N400 that has a I751 pending but you may need to have your spouse with you. If they need your spouse, they will send the notification close to your interview date. If your spouse will be out of the country and they want him during the interview, then you may need to reschedule.

  5. I believe that I am a victim of marriage fraud. Can I contact the INS and request that my spouse be deported?

I have encountered many nasty divorce cases wherein an embittered spouse gets dumped by an alien spouse. The immediate reaction by the U.S. spouse is to undertake efforts to have his/her spouse deported. The U.S. spouse often will contact the I.N.S. and request that their spouse be deported based on the grounds of marriage fraud. My advice to the U.S. spouse is to chalk it up as a bad experience and to avoid being vengeful. I also advise the U.S. spouse that he probably was aware of the risks of the marriage, and that he has to accept the failure of the marriage.

If the alien spouse is seeking to "shake down" the U.S. spouse, then I may advise that an annulment be pursued. Fraud in the inception of marriage is grounds for an annulment. An allegation of marriage fraud may be made to obtain an annulment by the spouse of an alien who gained legal resident status through marriage. It is very important for an alien spouse to vigorously contest any annulment based on fraud. An annulment complaint can really "soften up" an alien spouse. This strategy can really work wonders, and significantly reduce an alien spouse's demands in any divorce case.

Unfortunately, there are risks with this strategy. A U.S. citizen could face criminal liability for a marriage fraud allegation. It is important to inform any U.S. citizen that if they had any knowledge of an alien's intention to marry in order to gain legal resident status and that citizen participated knowingly in the sham marriage, criminal provisions subject U.S. co-conspirators to a felony prosecution under 18 U.S.C. Section 1001.

To conclude, the best strategy for a U.S. citizen to follow is to avoid the obvious impulse of trying to have your ex-spouse deported. You don't have to continue to sponsor her immigration application. However, you should avoid the impulse to try to "nuke" her application. If the alien spouse is seeking excessive alimony and unrealistic demands for equitable distribution, then the U.S. citizen may want to pursue an annulment. Alternatively, the U.S. spouse could insert a count of marriage fraud in the divorce complaint. It is very rare for a U.S. citizen to be prosecuted for marriage fraud. The U.S. Attorney is really more interested in pursuing immigration fraud on a mass level, such as slave labor cases. However, the laws do exist on the books. If an alien spouse is money hungry in a divorce case, then pursuing an annulment or alleging fraud in the divorce complaint is the equivalent of putting a "monkey wrench" in her plans.

  6. Please don't freak out! We have exactly the same experiece here it is....

March 10 Moved to a new aparment

March 11 Went to our post office and filled out an application for change address

March 12 I changed the address at USCIS website

March 13 I got an email saying that our AOS got approved after 6 months of waiting

March 14 Called USCIS if they have changed/update our address and guess what I got the same answer as yours.

March 14 Called our post office and said that it takes 7-10 days to forward all mails to our new place.

March 22 Received forwarded mail from our old address It was AOS approval and Green Card.

I hope I calm you down.

Does anyone got the same experience like me?

I mailed the AR-11 thru mail 2 weeks ago and change the adress online last week.

I did not get any information if the change came through or not.

Yesterday I got approved and the card should be delivered within 30 days.

Now I called Customer Service to check on the adress. The lady on the phone told me that it takes USCIS 45 days to change the adress (#######!!!)

So the card is then going to be sent back to them as undeliverable.

I also change the adress at the post office, but I am not sure if they will forward these kinds of documents.

Does anyone know how this is gonna work?

    Appreciate your answers!!!
