  1. There have been quite a few others asking the same questions. I did an RFE search on this forum and it turns out the first notice is when the decision is being made. Although the notice says an RFE was mailed, it isn't mailed till you receive the second notice. Good luck on your RFE, I just got one also.

Good luck to you too. We have the same NOA1!

  2. Hi everyone,

I know there has been a lot going around about extremely long processing times for K1 but I have never seen anyone waiting a year!!! We have filed 23/july 2012 and have just received an RFE which turns out might have just been a computer glitch according to our lawyer???? The lawyer now says to us that she doesn't expect us to have an interview until June/July 2013 which would make it a year???? I saw a popular post the other day about a long account of steps with which someone succeeded in speeding up this process but I cannot find it anymore and don't remember the title :-( We have written to all congressmen/women we can think of, white house, have several service requests opened.... nothing. Does anybody have any advice at all? THANK YOU!

Hi take a few moments to fill out your timeline. It can be very helpful.

I doubt very much that it will be a computer glitch. Hopefully it will be something easy. Somebody said that if the RFE was not needed because it was an error on the service centre's part then you can send a letter saying so and asking for it to be processed faster. If it is an error on your part then you will have to wait.

  3. Hey there

Hope u have an easy rfe... and thnx I hope I get something otherwise ill lose my mind :( my congressman is not responding to my voicemail as well.

We never even heard back from our congressman!

It seems that the service centre is so busy processing the petitions that Rfe's and everything else are having to wait a little longer than usual.

Hopefully everything will start to move for all of us waiting soon.

  4. I know this has probably been answered before but I can't find anything relevant and to be honest my nerves are soooooo frayed I figured I better jump on here and ask.

We initialy received text notification 18th April that we had an RFE. My fiance just let me know that today he got another text notification. I looked on the USCIS website and the RFE date has now been changed to the 24th April from the original date of 18th April.

Does this mean there are two RFE's coming our way or is it normal? We haven't hard any hard copies yet.

    Argh the stress!!!!!!

  5. This entire process is enough to make you break down in tears. Some of us have been waiting for years for an NOA2, some of our relationships have deteriorated, some of us get too nervous at the interview, some of us have too little documentation, some of us are crying right now because the one person we love is across an ocean/ in a different hemisphere/ on a different continent. It is heartbreaking knowing so many of us have to put on a brave face for other people to scrutinize our relationships, our finances, when all we want is the person who makes us feel complete. Yet we tread on for love. We get rejected, told to "WAIT IT OUT". And lets be honest, it hurts.

VJ is really a safe place for us all, where we can say "I know how you feel", "It's going to be ok", "It'll work out, I've been there".

    Good luck everyone.

Sat here waiting on our RFE letter. It hurts to be still on phase 1 after so long. Hope it comes soon so we can see our mistake, correct it and hopefully be another celebrating our NOA2 soon.

My fiance and I have a strong relationship built on years of friendship before we became more than just friends. Our relationship will survive but it is a long painful wait :(
