congratulations!!!! Im sure u got it!!! Ours didnt tell us anything or give us nothing we left with no answer....5 days later we checked online and were approved!!!!
-
You dont have any photos?!?! Not even on Facebook or something you can retrieve and print? One picture is not enough.....the IO asked to look at my scrap book with over 100 pictures and looked at every page...I would strongly recommend finding pictures ASAP!
-
we GOT THE SAAAAAAAME email today!!!!!! I wonder how many days we will be waiting!!!!!!
-
Have you any knowledge of how any special response units of ICE conduct business?
I'd suggest we wait and see what happens with the OP tomorrow before we continue to doubt his story.
agreed!!!!!
-
I am still very skeptical about your account of events.
ICE doesn't call people because someone falsely reported them for whatever petty reason.
Even if you were an illegal alien and you go tomorrow , walk inside ICE building, jump and scream to be arrested and deported, chances are strong they will call the police to remove you out of the building instead of bothering with you.
I find more inconsistencies with your description of events.
1. Police , as a matter of how they operate, refuses to even file a report unless there is an evidence of crime present, (ex. bodily injury, witnesses and etc). You yelling at someone is not an evidence of crime. Even if it was recorded , it would not be a crime to speak to someone with your voice raised, even if you told them to do to themselves very obvious things (unless you threatened to commit physical harm or violence). In instances you describe police would just talk to you and your neighbor and leave it at that.
I won't bet my limbs that this is a universal procedure for police conduct all over US (you may be unfortunate enough to have lived in Maricopa County under Sheriff Arpaio), but for the most part this is how police operates within the boundaries of existing state and federal laws.
2. ICE would not send 3 special agents because your neighbors reported you to be here illegally. As I noted above, even of you went to ICE and reported yourself to be here illegally they would at worst get annoyed with you and throw you out. Therefore I am assuming you mean police department sent 3 special agents? If so,
what for? Couldn't one officer sort it out?
3. Finally, if for whatever reason ICE was really interested in clearing things out they would most likely do one of three things: a) Knock on your door at 4am in the morning in SWAT gear and drag you to their removal prisons and keep there until bailout hearing (if you were eligible for one); b) send you a written notice to show cause or appear before judge for hearing (or before officer to be personally interviewed or physically removed on a specific date); c) they could wait until all your background checks were completed, interview scheduled and get you at their convenience when you appeared at USCIS to see your IO.
Again, I can't categorically say what did or didn't happen to you, I wasn't there, but it is unheard of to me and sounds highly unlikely that what you describe could happen the way you relay it.
Could it be that two ICE officers played cards and one lost to another in a bet that loser would prank someone like yourself and get a nice kick out of it?
Anyway, wish you good luck and let us know how it goes tomorrow.
Why keep doubting him?? I'm sure he didnt just come here to start a fake topic to see how people reply. His story is not normal but our government does some of teh craziest things....so im not doubting his story at all! GOOD LUCK OP!

yay!!!! congratulations!!!!!!!!!

Im not entirely sure but maybe you could request and expedite? I heard people have tried it before but Im not sure of the outcomes. Check and see if thats possible and what the requirements are...I dont think a friends wedding is a good requirement but your father being sick and dying might be a good reason.
GOOD LUCK!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!

Have you received your welcome letter yet or does it just show that it was mailed?
we got it last night!! so about 3 day wait from the online status change.
-
well we had hiccups and we were denied lol but in total it took 10 months for us so we dont count in a normal situation...but I hear anywhere from 30-60 days.
-
yay congrats!!!!!
-
Denver, Co- went in 2 days early because I couldn't get the day off of work to take hubby on exact date and we had no issues!
About 20min wait.
-
first i want to say SRECNO!!!!
As for our interview--ours was at 7:15am...we got there super early we were among the first in to the door and through security. (they opened at 7am) so we went upstairs....met up with our translator and sat down.....not even 7:15 yet and we were called in...there were about 4 officers who came out at once and began calling names...there were probably only about 15 people in there.
We went in and were sworn in...she sat us down, asked for the ssn, work permit, asked for all of our IDs....and began asking us the normal questions pertaining to our file (about 3-4min) after she was done checking off the questions she asked him what my bday was and asked me his (which is funny because we have the same birthday lol one hes July 26th and Im July 27th) she chuckled that were only on day different in age and what a easy question that was. Then she asked our address and then asked to look through our scrapbook (that i spent hours and hours on I was proud of it) she went through all our pictures as if she liked looking at them (we had all of our several vacations in there) and asked us which vacation was our favorite she seemed to like the Disneyland ones and commented on my scrapbooking skills....we answered her that New York was our favorite (our one year marriage anniversary)and that was it....we didnt even need the translator (we had to get one because in our first interview my husband didnt understand the word 'espionage' and we were sent out and rescheduled and told to come back with a translator.....but hubby speaks great English that was just not a word we ever used..and the first interviewer seemed like a douche anyways and im glad we got the girl the second time she was so nice!!!)
Our interview was about 10 min if that.....I mean we were in and out so fast we were in the car at 7:30 exactly....
the only thing though that stressed us out was that we didnt get approved on the spot...she took his i-94 and said she has to review before making a decision.......but 5 days later we saw online we were aproved and now were just waiting for the GC in the mail!!!
GOOOOOD LUCK!!!!! Sve Najboje!! (P.S IM Bosnian-Croatian)
-
Nope. Your I-130 will be decided at your interview, along with the I-485.
Yep!!! Ours was in review the entire time (even when we were denied) and when we had our interview it was still under review....then when our i485 was approved so was the i130
-
good luck! it still hasn't really sunk in that it's all over yet for us!
same here!! we feel like it was almost a year of hell and boom.....10 min and over......all over.....and ur just sitting there going--- YAAAAAAAYYYY!!!!
Were still waiting for our GC in the mail....so untill my hubby has it in hand it wont feel real for us!!!
Congrats guys!!!
-
Man you had them on their toes lmao.....and even with the Holiday vacations too!!!! I think that's the USCIS record lmao
-
Got the SAME notice when I checked online on the 15th...i was wondering what ADIT meant an googled (it means fingerprints or photo that USCIS might need)....I think that is a standard message...because hubby got his welcome letter today and the blue dot changed to card production today too..........
So you are APPROVED!!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!
-
Edit to add:: (wouldnt let me edit so im writing it down here)
He was on a business trip to Vagas when all this happened.....also dont feel bad she took all the $$ he had PLENTY more in his private account....he didnt even notice it was gone till a week after she left-- keep in mind this was the 90 there were no phone apps to check accounts at that time lol)....HE WAS NOT THE MAN SHE THOUGHT SHE WAS MARRYING.
sadly I have seen/heard these things happen often....it seems to be a sad trend between young immigrant women and grown successful white men......
she was his trophy wife and slave thats all he saw her as.
-
Your husband is lying to you, manipulating you, and controlling you. He is trying to make you into his house slave. With your status in the air like this, you will be essentially useless. If you have some money, I would leave NOW. This man is NOT a good man. He purchased you, or is treating you as if he has. He got his new slave to the States, now he wants no obligations to her. If he cared so much about now owing anything to the Fed, he would've moved to China or tried to live with you in a third country; the fact that he brought you on a K-1 and now doesn't want to give you status just, again, proves he wants a slave.
AGREEEEEED!!!! My family friend a sweet young girl married an older man (he was like 15 years older then her) and she met him in Croatia when they both lived there (he was a successful businessman) they traveled together all over Europe and visited her family in Bosnia all the time...he seemed like the PERFECT man.....well he was returning to the US and asked to marry him...she wanted to finish school (she only had like 6 months left) and she would come so they filed for the K-1 visa....
poor thing she was so exited....
she came here and from the moment they began living together (they didnt live together before but spent 2-3 days a week together before) he was mad when she didnt cook....when she didnt clean....when his clothes were not folded and ironed.....and he waited till like day 85 to marry her and when he filed for AOS he began threatening her that if she does not act like a 'real woman' that he would cancel her green card he told her "You are not here to party with friends, or go to starbucks or go to Croatian concerts...you are here to be a wife and thats your purpose" and many people heard him say that when he came to pick her up from starbucks where she was having coffee with her friend...he played with her life and emotions....well smart girl-- she packed up her stuff one night......drained his bank account right before they closed(a good 15k-- he should have thought before adding her name on his bank account--thinking that she will just go to the grocery store) left him a long letter about how shes not a slave and she didnt come here to just iron his clothes and cook him dinner...that she came to have fun with her husband, travel, build a family and live happy and she wasnt happy" she was back in Croatia after being in the US for a year....and shes happy she hated it here she says....
but serves him right....I still see that looser sometimes and I dont even tell him hi.

Bring another certified copy of your marriage certificate and anything else you think will help show a bona fide relationship since submitting the appication. If nothing has changed then take nothing. You do need to bring a form of ID which for us was her passport, and the I-94 to be turned in. The questions we were asked were:"Name, DOB, place of birth, name of parent's" and "Have you ever...." These are the questions and information on the application. As each question was answered she placed a big red check moark next to that item on the application. Ten minutes later we were out of there. Arrive early.
Good luck,
Dave
Same with us....we were in and out in about 10 minutes....easy interview...the only thing she asked us more was when she looked at our scrapbook she asked which vacation was our favorite (we went to cali/disney...New York City...we went to Vegas....Vail and lttle places near by) and we answered NY and she sent us out--- telling us 'I will need to do some further review I will send you a decision in the mail and will notify you if I need anything else" Regardless of that we got an approval about a week later
-
congrats!!!! Wait about a week and the EAD card will come in the mail...then the next day you can go to the ssn Office and apply for a ssn#.....sometimes they will give you a number right away (on a piece of paper and the card will come in the mail) or they will tell you they have to have it authorized by USCIS/DHS and then you will be issued a card---- like my husband....regardless we waited 6 days and it came in the mail...so maybe a week or so after your wife can start working.
-
my friends husband got his in like 2-3 weeks to get his in the mail......but i keep reading that people get theirs in 3-6 days....so maybe they have not printed hers yet.

It seems like when a USC cannot have their way its alwaays about a GC.When would this nonsense stop. You know you are marrying an alien, then do not file any documents for them.USC marry USC and separate and divorce withing a month or so,but if an alien do that, the USC always claim its because of a GC.The BS needs to stop. Then the should stop all immigration procedure thru marriage.I am so tired of these USC wanting to control people and when they cannot get their way, they scream fraud.Just look for your USC like yourself and forget about loving or having a relationship with an alien.
Why would you say this?? He obviously has great supporting reasons as to why he believes shes using him...I know if my husband hid his phone and stuff with passwords that I didnt know....or he didnt want to touch me......or even if I heard roumors I would believe the saaaammmmeeee thing!!! I have seen fake marriages and his explanation all lead to a fake marriage.........she used him...its obvious!
-
Im sorry to hear this!! He sounds like a real douche....forget him....and you will find true love. Its never too late!
Good luck and you are better off without him!!!

Op! I hope she really loves you but to me she was desperate enough to commit immigration fraud and that is a red flag for me. I would let her try to figure it out with her new husband.
