  2. Hi everyone,

I wanted to share the good new that My case status is updated to "New Card Is Being Produced: On April 21, 2016, we ordered your new card for Receipt Number WACxxxxxxxxxxxx, and will mail it to the address you gave us....."

Filed for I-751 on November 07, 2015 with CSC.

    NOA on Novemebr 09, 2015.

    Biometrics on Decmeber 16, 2015.

Got update on uscis website "card/document production ordered on April 21, 2016"

Hope this will excite other vyers who filed in November 2015 or before.

Thanks again for your help and good luck everyone.

    Oh wow! Congrats! :D

  3. We will be filing in a few days and I'm nervous for some reason! I always get anxiety when it comes to filing this stuff because I'm always like "what if we get denied, what if I didn't put the correct info, what if I have to pay the application fee again" ugh it stresses me out.

The papers that I intend on sending in for proof of our relationship are:

    2013 & 2014 Joint Tax Returns

Lease agreement for our current apartment

Copies of our entry/depart dates when we visited Korea together

Photos of our vacation to Korea (we were visiting his family)

Health Insurance cards with both our names on it

And just some bills with both our names on it

Is that enough evidence you think? I'm not really sure what else to send...we don't have joint bank accounts so I can't really send any bank statements in.

I'm in the same boat; I'm stressing out as well that I didn't put enough in our application, and get an RFE or get denied right off the bat. But I think as long as those documents show that the marriage and relationship shows good faith and the evidence provided supports it, we can only hope they will be satisfied with what we present them.

I pretty much have included in our application copies of what you guys also are planning to include in your application, and then some:

    • Our car and renters insurance with us as the named insureds

    • Our insurance plans showing both us as the dependent of the other

    • Our joint bank statements for this year

    • Our driver's licenses showing shared addresses

    • Apartment lease documents from 2014 and 2015

    • Our previous year's tax return

    • Photos as evidence of on-going relationship

My worry is that those will still be not enough, and that I forgot to include our 2013 tax returns when i was still unemployed. Our recent update so far is our mailed application was delivered and received just last Thursday.

  5. Start with researching how much graphic designers are earning within your area/city/state just to get a rough estimate of what others are getting. I use Payscale to research the pay for related jobs I'm applying to just to see what the range is. IMO, with any first job, pay comes second; at least until you get your first US job experience. I had set my eyes on doing online freelance work as well when I immigrated. But good luck on your job/freelance work search. :)

  6. Hi,

Studying online is normal. Don't worry about it. As long as you have other evidence of living with your USC spouse, studying online will not be an issue at ROC.

    Best of luck

    Hi aaron2020,

Thanks for replying! Yes, we do have other evidence (joint bank account, our apartment, both employed, etc.) I was worried that those evidence won't matter if they put more focus on me attending a university outside the US.

I guess I don't have to worry about it! Thanks again.

  7. Hi everyone! I've read some of the old threads before that are related to my question, but they're mostly about being physically outside of the country to study.

I have been thinking of getting a graduate certificate to further my studies. And with my husband and I still paying his students loans, I thought that it might be better financially if I enroll in a university back in my country, and study virtually. (It'll be cheaper, and the program I am eyeing on will be able to do distance education.)

My question is, would me being enrolled in/attending a university outside of the US (and with the university location being in my home country) be a red flag come my Removal of Conditions?

    I appreciate your thoughts!

I wasn't sure where to post. But if I posted in the wrong sub-forum, I apologize.

  8. I made my husband my in-laws scared to when they taught me. I had my driver's permit around January last year but only got to really practice around October and November and got my driver's license before my permit expired. I know how you feel, I'm short too and I really had to scoot the seat forward and raise it up since the car I practiced in and the car we have now have deep seats.

  9. Well, the moment I got my EAD I started applying for jobs. I got busy with updating my resume, looking for job leads online, as well as look for career workshops within my area. I used Indeed.com mostly for the jobs I really want, and then craigslist for any job opening i can apply at for a survival job. Job hunting took about 4 months since I got my Green Card when I finally got employed.

  10. Maybe try connecting through LinkedIn as well, maybe it'll help. Friends or relatives may have connections with companies that know some job openings. It was hard for me to find a job too. I got a job as a Multimedia Developer for a public college on the Kansas/Missouri border. It's a long drive for my husband and I, but we're making it work.

Well, from their website, it's not necessarily for immigrants coming from developing countries, but generally immigrants who are having a hard time trying to establish their careers again in the US.

Keep being patient and persistent. :) You'll get it soon! I think I applied like crazy during those 4-5 months and didn't get lucky with interviews. You might also have to look farther than the area you're applying for, since that worked for me. Our area, Blue Springs, is mostly retail-industry and I wanted to get into the industry I am familiar with so I had to look at jobs within and around Kansas City.

I did consider changing industries and was looking into working in the non-profit sector and applied for an internship. If finances isn't an issue, maybe look for an internship or volunteer at some places you're really interested to learn. You will gain new skills, and some references too.
